OSU has seen a large increase in international students in recent years through a public-private partnership called INTO OSU. The top countries international students at OSU come from are China, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, India, and Iran. The OSU Libraries have undertaken several initiatives to better serve international students, such as offering international student orientations, creating subject guides, and hosting speed friending events to help build community. Librarians are also working to educate faculty and staff on issues important to international students through initiatives like an intercultural program and collaborating on academic integrity. Future plans include further collaboration with other universities and proposing a new librarian role focused on international student services.
