7. Enhancing analytical capacity
• Despite improved contributions from members, key information
gaps remain: stocks, feed demand, more timely estimates of trade
data.
• COVID and Ukraine war has exposed need to improve scenario
analysis at a regional and country level.
• Research is needed to identify relevant indicators of market risk,
developing early warning tools, measuring effects of trade
restrictions, and expanding capacity to measure private stocks.
• Working with FAO, interest in integrating model-based analyses into
the AMIS work programme.
