• Understanding the current impacts of
climate on innovation and their potential on
climate change adaptation
• Identification of easy to integrate measures

• 16 countries, 14 in Africa
• Multiple interviews and 14 online surveys, 2 entirely desk based
reports
• 41 value chains assessed representing 22 different
agricultural commodities
• Rice is assessed 6 times, potato 5 times and soya bean 4 times
• 291 adaptation practices belonging to 23 different groups
across 16 countries

• As a strong background information on climate modelling in the

appealing to non –experts e.g. visualization of information through
infographics
• For further studies such as the Resilience Study (follow up with GIZ)
on topics of post harvest losses and improved processing, resilience
and contribution to climate debate
