13. Aims of the project:
• Study of the works by Christian Ackermann, the most
talented Baroque-era wood carver in Estonia
• Study of historical joinery and carving techniques, use
of materials, polychromy, architectonics, original
location of works in ecclesiastical space, etc
• Creation of a public science web for gathering and
presenting the results of the studies in a coherent
database
• Publicity programmes for the wider public
• Co-operation of research institutions in arts and
sciences for improved study and preservation of listed
art objects
• Development of innovative documentation methods of
complicated monuments and their conservation
