Only vendor to provide a unified conference with more than 40 video participants or 80 audio participants without cascadingOnly platform to provide 1080p and 720p 60fpsRMX+DMA provide the highest total capacity (1200 active participants)HDCP, 720p 30 fps is symmetric modeHDCP 720p 60 fps and 1080p 30 fps is asymmetricRMX will only work with MPM+ or MPM cards. If the two cards are mixed in a system then performance reverts back to MPM modules. Should have all MPM+ cards. Maximum BW supported by RMX is 6mbps (768K for content)
From its inception the RMX 2000 was designed to support the challenges posed by both desktop and telepresence conferencing. As a future proof platform, when the RMX comes out with new boards customers do not have purchase a new platform to benefit from additional capabilities. The RMX was also designed to be field upgradeable and boards hot-swappable so downtime is minimal. With the release of the DMA the architectural design and support for split signaling/media processing of the RMX 2000 becomes evident. The RMX was designed to support distributed networks and act as a localized media server (performing all media processing) while a centralized call server (DMA 7000) addresses signaling, call placement, and meeting room creation so meeting rooms are virtual and not tied to any one RMX. This enables a streamlined, distributed network design, which we feel is best able to handle the demands of video traffic on a network.
