A how to use light trails within other images, editing.

2. Step 1
I have duplicated the layers and the first stage is to
cut Emil out using magnetic lasso tool.

3. Step 1b
This is what the layer looks like after cutting
him out and turn off the bottom layer.

4. Step 2
Selecting the top layer go to image – adjustment and
black and white
Note ignore the that the image shows layer selected at the top this was
a mistake as this would effect all.

5. Step 2b The black and white is a bit grey and
bland.

6. Step 3 To make the background more punchy, again
go to image – adjustments – levels (this will
add more contrast).

7. Step 3b This give a more punchy dramatic
background.

8. Step 4 The second image which will be cut and added to the first
image we have manipulated. Start by selecting magic
wand tool and removing the black background.

9. Step 5 There are different shade and so will
take multiple selections to remove.

10. Step 6 This is the final cutting, I would just use the
blur tool to soften the edges and you are
ready to add the image to the original edit.

11. Final Composition
As one final touch I altered the Hue of the text to gain the red glow and added
some lens flare to the tops of the text to add a more effective glow.
