new opportunity has arisen for a Rotor Blade Technician to join the team in Inverness,
Scotland
The Role
You will be a point of contact for all Blade issues with the wind turbines including upgrades
and fault diagnosis. You will be based primarily from Inverness, Scotland and be expected to
travel to wherever necessary in the UK on a daily basis to maintain the Turbines to the
highest of standards.
You will be climbing turbines and therefore would be expected to have an excellent head for
heights as well as the stamina to perform this integral job requirement on a very regular basis.
Blade Technicians work in teams and are provided with a company vehicle, tools, appropriate
work clothes and PPE.
Primary responsibilities will include:
-Fault finding and reporting on Turbine Blades
-Installation and retrofitting of key Blade components
-Fixing and small repairs to Blades
-Ability to carry out risk assessments and method statements
-Experience with maintenance schedules
-Maintaining error logs and maintenance paperwork
-Maintaining good communication flow and customer contact
-Proactive approach to work
The Candidate
In order to be considered for this role, you must have high mobility with a willingness to move
and travel, with flexibility and a sense of team spirit.
Successful candidates must:
-Have at least a level 3 qualification in an electrical or mechanical discipline or equivalent
-Be literate and numerate, with good IT skills
-Possess a clean and valid UK Driving Licence
