All rights reserved. 1#reInvent Event Report – AWS re:Invent – It’s big… The by now expected massive event (4ok+) that is turning into the get together of the IT industry, spanning the Las Vegas strip. • Usual (but relatively quiet) instance innovation, P3 is key • Kubernetes (EKS) becomes 1st class citizen in AWS next to ECS • DB remains key – Neptune, Aurora, global features for others • Machine Learning – Lot’s of new offerings, Sagemaker and DeepLens • Alexa (for Business) – Expanding the franchise to new use cases • New IDE – Key Move – but can AWS make developers change? MyPOV: AWS is on a roll. All is bigger. No big, big announcements (not necessarily bad). MachineLearning reset still hurts AWS. Vmware? Good partner progress. Focus on build.

All rights reserved. 1#reInvent Event Report – AWS re:Invent – It’s big… The by now expected massive event (4ok+) that is turning into the get together of the IT industry, spanning the Las Vegas strip. • Usual (but relatively quiet) instance innovation, P3 is key • Kubernetes (EKS) becomes 1st class citizen in AWS next to ECS • DB remains key – Neptune, Aurora, global features for others • Machine Learning – Lot’s of new offerings, Sagemaker and DeepLens • Alexa (for Business) – Expanding the franchise to new use cases • New IDE – Key Move – but can AWS make developers change? MyPOV: AWS is on a roll. All is bigger. No big, big announcements (not necessarily bad). MachineLearning reset still hurts AWS. Vmware? Good partner progress. Focus on build.
