My Favorite Holiday Essay
My favorite holiday is Christmas. Traditionally celebrated at home, Christmas is thought to be a
family holiday. However nowadays the habits and ideas of people have changed very much and
Christmas becomes more of the global holiday when it is appropriate to meet with many friends and
go out for the round the night crazy celebration. Every person finds his own most favorite things
about Christmas. In this small essay I will examine what this holiday means to me, and what are the
best parts of it that I personally enjoy. As for me, the best thing about Christmas is that special
feeling in the air that is giving every person happiness and hope for the better future in the next year.

The celebration of Christmas is a special moment itself.
I enjoy the process of preparing for the holiday very much. Our whole family participates in the
process. For many years I am responsible for the decoration of the house. I like putting the
Christmas toys on the tree and lighting the candles. Also I go outside the house and see what can be
decorated there.
Especially I like when it snows outside. The snow is a symbol of the Christmas; to me it is also a
symbol of the renewal and cleanliness of the upcoming event. In addition the streets are simply
decorated already when it is snowing outside. In conclusion I would like to summarize the factors
that make Christmas a particularly interesting and great holiday.
First of all, I enjoy the unique atmosphere of the holiday. The feeling that is present in the air at
those days cannot be compared to anything else. The feeling of Holy joy and happiness arises every
living thing to do good and kind things. The second thing that attracts me the most about the holiday
is that during these days every person somehow goes back to the childhood. The presents under the
Christmas tree along with congratulations from everyone in the street allows the person to feel
himself young and full of strength, like in the days of youth when everything was possible and no
worries could frighten him. The last but not least thing about

My favorite holiday is one where I run downstairs nervous and happy at the same time waiting for
the moment I start opening gifts. This holiday I am talking about is Christmas because of the
traditions, decorations, and the fact that it can bring families together.
To begin with I love the traditions that we have for Christmas. In the first place, we always make
the same food every Christmas. For example, we concoct a dish called paneer butter masala. This
dish consists of cottage cheese squares in a smooth, creamy sauce made up of onion and cashews.
We also make a pear butter cake that has at least a pound of butter. These foods are my sister and
my favorites and when we go to a restaurant we order these foods. Equally important is our
Christmas tree. My sister and mom make intertwined rings consisting of construction paper. This
creation perfectly describes our family because it shows how we are a very creative family and
makes do with what we have. This creation surrounds the tree and looks very crafty. Furthermore,
we always put the ornaments on the tree as a family. My mom hands out the ornaments and my dad,
sister and I put the ornaments on the tree. My dad puts the ornaments where my sister and I can't
reach. My sister puts the ornaments on the bottom and I put them in the middle. When all the
ornaments are finally on the tree we put our paper ring creation on the tree along with the lights.
While my sister and I put the lights on my mom and dad put the topper. Without a doubt, the
traditions we have as a family are my favorite part of Christmas.
It is my belief that the decorations are another great part of Christmas. In fact, I love the
decorations so much I volunteer to put up the decorations. My favorite type of decorations are the
ones outside. The part I admire most about the decorations is the projectors we got last year. We
received these projectors as a gift from a friend. We used them last year and they looked
marvelous. Many of our friends that went to our house commented on them. They can be used at
any time of year and have images of everything from Santa to fireworks. One more part I admire
about our outdoor decorations are the lights we have in the bushes and the gutters. Every few

The closer we get to the holidays the more miserable I get. I don't really know why but for some
reason over the last few years I just get that way. Christmas is mums favourite holiday, and I try
not to ruin it for her but sometimes it's hard to put on the act. With all that has happened this year,
I've learnt how to put a convincing smile. Most times its only there to put my mum at ease.
Although I'm just fooling myself, she seems to buy it. Maybe we both fake a front face, to protect
our inner emotions. Maybe we just put it up the front face, that we believe the other wished to see.
Although she had it tough, when my father left her, all she had was me. I stayed by her side through
tough times. Over the years, I matured at a younger...show more content...
The brightness of the morning light and the stillness of the atmosphere made my palms drench in
sweat, as I breathed, rapidly but shallow, to the unknowingness of the object. It was no bigger than
a tissue box. Its white fluffy texture, and small black eyes glared in my direction. Suddenly it
filled my heart with warmth, and joy. I walked closer to the object, and a strong, warm smile started
to grow on my face. I was my long–lost teddy bear Charlie. I picked it up and gave it a hug it, the
smell of the plush indelibly stamped my memory. The smell evoked my earliest memories. It was
filled with images of my father at moments, where he was laughing as we played hide and seek
together as I carried Charlie around, and the time where he first cut my hair and times where I
was scared so I squeezed Charlie. And, now, as I stand on the same hall way, feeling the warmth
of the sun on my face, almost 4 years later, I can't help but think of him. I can't help thinking of
him, and all the pain he instilled into both, my mum and I during his final years, a burning
sensation of hated grew every time I thought of him. Life changes so fast. Life changes in the
instant. You sit down to dinner and life as you know it ends with the someone you once loved. I
then wondered how this got placed here, it was unusual, because I passed the same spot every
morning, not noticing it. The vivid evocation of father taking it was distant as I remember

My Favorite Holiday Is Christmas Essay
I don't know about you, but my favorite holiday is Christmas; there's nothing better than waking up
on Christmas morning to see what presents your parents had gotten you. This was my favorite part
of Christmas and if you asked other kids they would say the same thing. Christmas was a time for
opening gifts and enjoying time with family. Luckily for me, I went to my grandma 's on my
mother's side. One year we go to my mother 's side and the following year we go to my father 's
side. Even though I love getting presents on Christmas, it is not the only great thing about the
holiday; spending time with your family, friends, and remembering Jesus Christ are important too.
On the morning of December 25th, 2010, I was a twelve–year old boy. Waking up on Christmas
morning was something I had been looking forward to for a few weeks. I was beyond excited to
see what presents I had gotten from my parents. There was nothing better than getting to see what
new toys I would have to play with. I woke up around 7 A.M. and ran into my parent's room to
wake them up so we could open our presents; while I was jumping for joy, they were half awake
and trying to get out of bed before I pulled them out myself. After they finally got out of bed we
went into the living room. This is where we have always opened presents on Christmas Day. In my
family, it has always been a tradition to open all of our gifts on Christmas morning. I sat on the
couch with my mom, my two dogs with us, and my dad sat in

My All Time Favorite
I enjoy every holiday on the calendar since it means a day off from school. However, the one that
stands out the most is Christmas. Christmas is my all–time favorite holiday because of the joy of
opening all the beautifully wrapped presents under the Christmas tree, listening to the wonderful,
joyous Christmas music, enjoying the exclusive traditional Christmas feast, and the most important
of all, the gathering with my father's side of the family,
To begin with, I love to get together with my family and relatives and catching up with the latest
gossips. For example, seeing my cousins with their boyfriends and girlfriends together is
priceless. Our family is rather small, including all the aunts, uncles and cousins, there are only
thirteen in all. However, due to our hectic busy schedules, I rarely get to visit them. Christmas is
one of the few times in a year that I see my aunts, uncles, and cousins all at once. What I mean by
this is that it is the only time that I was able to talk with my relatives in length, especially my
favorite cousin from New Orleans and my aunt who never took a day off work except for
Christmas. She works all the time, literally.
My father's side of family is serious about the Christmas gathering. What I mean by this is that the
dinner table is always full of food with a minimum of three to four entrГ©es, including prime ribs,
barbecue spare ribs, ketchup shrimp and ham. Then there are roasted vegetables, salad, and mixed
greens. If that is no enough, plenty of rice, potatoes, yams and rolls are available to fill our still
empty stomachs. The food is always prepared in a combination of American and Chinese style to
reflect our culture and tradition. After the dinner, there are enough delicious dessert to feed the
entire neighborhood. In addition, knowing that all the food was homemade, and everyone had
contributed in preparing, really made this dinner that much more special. Oh, I almost forget to
mention that we started with appetizers of shrimp cocktails, assorted cheeses and pigs in the
blankets for two straight hours before the dinner starts. Last but not lease, my cousin from New
Orleans always have one or two exotic cocktail recipes up her sleeve to highlight

When I was younger we used to have a party with my dad's side of the family every year on
Christmas. It was always my favorite holiday because of the family time that came along with it.
That was until christmas came when I was eleven years old. There had been some family issues but
everyone thought it would get pushed aside for the sake of the party. That wasn't the case and what
went from being my favorite holiday is now something that brings anxiety and stress for my whole
family because now every get together is awkward and full of tension.
The party started like any other one with high energy from all my cousins and loud conversations
from all the adults. This Christmas fell on a Sunday and my mom had to work the next day, so as
the night dragged on and it got to be 8 o'clock and we still didn't open any presents my mom
simply asked "Could we get started on presents?" Little did we know that small statement would
lead to the biggest blow up imaginable. After she said that my uncle started screaming at mom
saying "You're in my house and if you don't like it leave now!" This led to even more yelling but
for me the whole argument seemed to go over in slow motion and everything started to play over
in my mind. It starting with how confused I was over how this got so out of hand so quickly and
how adults couldn't get along for a night for the sake of the party. The argument ended only a
couple minutes later with my older sisters and I crying and my aunt coming over to

The 7–day stay in Zermatt, Switzerland was my favorite trip to date. The crisp, chilly air. The
clear and blue skies and greenery everywhere blanketed by snow. It was a town I wouldn't mind to
live in for the rest of my life. It was the perfect place to unwind in after the hardest trip ever from
Milan.
It was pretty early when we started to get into our taxi for the 30–minute ride to Milano Centrale, the
city's most famous station and landmark. But it was 10 minutes into the ride when we had
received a call from the hotel, saying that there is one piece of luggage that they had forgotten to
load into the taxi. As we were in a very tight schedule, we urged the taxi driver to try to beat the
traffic so that we wouldn't miss our train. We finally...show more content...
Italy was known for its reckless drivers and complicated streets, so naturally we got stuck in the
middle of it. As we inched slowly through the traffic, I could hear my dad sigh repeatedly and my
sister starting to get impatient, bombarding my mom with questions regarding our trip and
destination. It was then when we had noticed our driver was muttering in Italian with an alarmed
look on his face, I leaned forward and followed his gaze towards the station which was just a few
miles ahead. That was when I noticed a huge crowd occupying the street in front of the station. It
was evident by the colorful signs and muted chants that a protest that was taking place. There
were cars and trucks and army police surrounding them, barking commands in Italian while they

next thing we see are hundreds of people running in all directions as the police threw sound bombs.
We were terrified to say the least, gawking out the window and the flurry of Italian youth clambered
through the traffic to get away from the advancing forces. Eventually after waiting for so long,
traffic was diverted to go around the complex and finally reaching the back of the train

When my family gets together for a holiday, food is always a very big issue especially because we
are a Filipino family. One Christmas, I remember we had a large amount of food. It was December
2012, and for the first time Christmas was held at our house that year. We had prepared for the
Christmas party weeks in advance. All the decorations and lights were up around the house and the
Christmas tree was beautifully lit like a clear night sky, with the star brightly shining at the top.
Coming to our house for Christmas, we had family come from up and down the California coast.

to add tables so everyone and the food could fit. Our family never really had a separate kid's table
and adult table. Everyone just sat at one table together as one big happy family. After eating our
Christmas feast, it was then time for desserts and how sweet they were. My mom's Aunt Emily
brought homemade batches of chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies, which were her own
special recipe. Before everyone arrived, I baked moist chocolate brownies with white chocolate chips
and dolapped a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of each. Meanwhile, the devil's food cake was
covered in a shiny glaze of sweet chocolate and topped with snowman sprinkles. In addition, my
Grandmother Dina had made taron, a banana wrapped in an egg roll that is deep fried and then later
is topped with a sprinkle of sugar. Of course, the rice cakes were to die

My Winter Holiday Essay
Like last winter holiday, I did a part–time job for a month in order to experience social life and earn
some extra money. After seven days when I stayed at home, I went to a local supermarket and
found a job which to promote the products. It was good for me because I just had to spend 6 hours
per day to work outside. Nevertheless the biggest shortcoming is that during the work time I had
no time to play with my friends and relatives. Thus, I didn't do anything fun until Feb.20. At the
end of the holiday, I went to see a midnight movie and ate BBQ with my friend. I did feel happy
when I could have fun with old friends and spend time earning some money. All in all, I enjoyed my
winter holiday! Warm–up #2 If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and
why? If I can go to any place in the world, I want to go to Finland most. The idea comes from a

My Favorite Holiday Analysis
Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year. The holiday season is a family filled loving time.
The one thing that I love about the season is the start of it. I love being with my friends and
family, just having fun and spreading joy. I love the traditions that have been passed down
through the family. One in particular is when my whole family goes on vacation with all of my
aunts, uncles, and cousins. It's the one time of the year when we are all together for a period of
time. This tradition has been going on since before my mom was even a child. Every thanksgiving
my whole family goes to a resort in West Virginia. The resort is all about theChristmas spirit. There
are decorations, lights, and christmas trees everywhere. The people there are great and being
with family is even better. Two years ago was my favorite year that we went. There isn't one
specific moment that is my favorite memory, my favorite memory is the whole trip itself. The
ride there was about three hours and it's my least favorite part because I was so anxious to get
there and have fun with everyone. We got there on Thanksgiving afternoon and we got dinner
right when we got there. The food was freshly cooked and tasted delicious. After we ate we went
swimming and I played with all of my cousins doing different activities at the pool. The adults
played card games and watched us at the pool. After we all got tired and went to our rooms and got
changed and played in the arcade. Down in the lobby there

All holidays are special, all holidays have their fans, but are all holidays as spooky as this holiday?
That special time of year that many children look forward to.My favorite holiday is Halloween
because of it's treats, costumes and decorations.
The treats, for example are one of the best parts of this holiday. The candy for starters is well
known part of Halloween. Lollipops are a popular candy and children enjoy them very much, or
at the very least I do. There are also the classic chocolate candies, basically anything that has
chocolate in it, for example Hershey bars, Charleston chews, Snickers etc, all classics.
Furthermore we have the well known "Not candy but still pretty dang cool" treats. This
Halloween, I got at least 6 glow sticks, and though that might be a bit too many glow sticks for
one person, but nonetheless a delight to have on such a scary night. Additionally there's pretzels
and coins in this category, and though personally I despise pretzels I like how people can get
creative or do something different by handing out all kinds of other things.Clearly Halloween treats
are a big part of the reason Halloween is so great.
Now onto the next thing that makes Halloween such a great holiday, the costumes. For example,
take into account all the scary costumes and just appreciate the effort some of these people go
through in order to terrify you.By scary costumes I mean things from famous horror icons like Jason,
Pennywise (older or modern version of Pennywise),Ghost face and many more. Then there are
people's own horrifying creations like dressing as ghosts or zombies. Moreover we can't forget about
the cute costumes. I mean there has to be something magical behind a night where you see a pink
superhero bunny and Freddy Krueger just walking down the same street. Throughout my Halloween
experience I have seen at least 3 ducks, 2 puppies ,1 bunny and a pumpkin suit, these outfits were
actually worn by young children.Without a doubt the colorful balance of all different kinds of
costumes truly helps Halloween pull it all together and be greatly enjoyed.
Now let's begin with the decorations, the decorations are probably not exactly the most important
part, but rather like a neat, secure bow that

With numerous holidays filled with happiness and celebration, it seems almost impossible to choose
the best, but don't be mistaken, there is only one holiday that stands out from the rest. With the
joyful festivities, the snowy weather, and the long winter break, Christmas is my number one
favorite holiday. There's so much associated with the holiday such as the upbeat music, the exquisite
decorations, no school for two weeks, and the snowy weather!
For example, the spirit of this holiday is like no other. There's multiple albums of music composed
meant to be played all winter season dedicated to this holiday. There's a wide spectrum of the genres
of the Christmas music played, and some of my all time favorites include All I Want For
Christmas, Let it Snow, and Feliz Navidad! To my delight, the popular songs are usually blasted in
speakers throughout most public gatherings such as the mall, or the grocery store, which always
puts me in the "merry mood!" Additionally, during December, families can be seen buying
extravagant decor to dress a towering evergreen tree from top to bottom with glittering ornaments
and sparkling stringed lights hugging the whole circumference of the tree. The glass baubles
balance on each evergreen leaf, displayed in an abundance of hues and designs. What I mean by
this detail, is that Christmas is a unique holiday, filled with it's own music and jingles to add to the
true Christmas "spirit". There are songs such as Rudolf the Red Nosed

My Favorite Holiday Is Christmas
In my birth story there is nothing really to it unless you count me just being born. I asked my
mom, but, she said nothing really happened. But, one thing that she said was that she was craving
some foods like burgers and red cream soda and some other stuff. But after months and months I
was delivered at Good Samaritan Hospital and weighed 7lbs 12.8oz. She always had a name in
mind for me, and it was Jackson because, she loved the name and it meant God has been Gracious.
Do you know your favorite holiday because I know mine. Mine is Christmas because that's when
you get presents and celebrate the life of Jesus. But it only happens once a year, which sucks. But,
another good thing is we get 2 weeks off of school for it. And maybe some snow days around that
time too. One other reason is I like to spend time with my family. My family gets a live tree every
year and the tree fills the house with the smell of it. But Christmas is not my only favorite thing I
also like a sport too. And it is soccer. My main reason I like it is because it has a lot of sprinting.
Also, I like to move stuff with my feet. I also like to watch the sport to see how I could get better. I
think I'm good at soccer because many people have told me I am really good. On weekends when I
have a lot of games I like it because I get to play the whole game. When I get to high school, I will
enjoy playing soccer for the high school. The reason I like to use my feet is because I have good
coordination skills.

I have recently visited Yosemite National Park with my friends on a Memorial Day Weekend.
This is the first public holiday of the year every working American gets since New Year so we
expected it's going to be really busy and crowded. Yosemite National Park, is truly one of the most
beautiful parks I have ever been. Although I had an amazing time, I wish I had done more planning
before going to see this magnificent creation of nature. To avoid disappointments, I listed a few
things below on WHAT TO EXPECT, WHAT TO DO AND NOT TO DO when visiting
Yosemite
National Park. Plus, I am going to be giving you the best tip ever to enjoy glacier point without
queueing for hours!
EXPECT
If you are tired of the hustle and bustle of the City and just want to see quintessentially English
villages and a beautiful countryside then you would like Cotswolds. Cotswolds is where you can find
the most beautiful village in England called Bibury.
Would you believe that, I have lived in England for 7 years and never ever visited Cotswolds, until I
moved to Los Angeles and came back to England to visit Mr Explorer's parents. Every year, we
would visit England and take Mr Explorer's parents for short break somewhere nice. This time we
decided we would take them to Cotswolds.
How to get there? Cotswolds is about 2 hour 10 minutes' drive from London via M40 and A40. We
rented a car as it's always more comfortable than taking the train. You can explore the surrounding
areas better that way.

It's that wonderful time of year where the leaves change color, the weather gets colder and yes,
there is pumpkin spice. There is also one of my favorite holidays which brings horror movies,
scary dГ©cor, costumes and trick or treating. I tend to go a little crazy with Halloween, or at least
as far as our budget allows. And with three kids and one income, you would be surprised with all
the things you can do. All you need is an open mind and some creativity, and maybe Pinterest.
I've been decorating my house for the holidays ever since I moved out on my own at 19. Back
then I started with a tiny tub of cheap decorations and now 13 years later I've overflowed two
huge tubs. My twins are going on five years old this year and are really starting to appreciate
things like decorations and the efforts I put into it. Now while I can't go buy the two story inflatable
dragon to put in the front yard, the kids love the "spooky house" I have put together this year.
First things first, the dollar store is your friend. And while everything is $1 you can find some really
great decorations there. With some well–placed spider webs and plastic spiders the living room is
transformed into my worst nightmare. Now if I can just remember in the middle of the night when
I run into one that it is, indeed, plastic. I previously said that I've built up quite a collection of items
which is thanks to the after Halloween sale. There is where majority of items can be bought at
50%–75% off. That is really

the movie Scooby – Doo, the ride launched us on a hair–raising journey complete with laser lighting
and sound effects, animatronics and a kaleidoscope of colour, depth, height and trickery of
dimension. I rated this as extreme on the thrill meter. It was now 6:25 and as the park closes at
7:30 the last show of the Hollywood stunt driver was about to start in 5 minutes. From the moment
we entered the arena of Hollywood Stunt Driver we were immersed in a real–live action 'working'
movie set. This purpose built and designed arena was the backdrop for what can only be described
as brilliant blockbusting movie action from start to finish. Incorporating breathtaking stunts,
precision driving, incredible scenes of exhilarating action and the performance of a cast and crew
with immeasurable talent, we didn't want to miss a second of this action packed extravaganza! For
a full 30 minutes drivers performed their death defying stunts, and like any good movie we wanted
to see it again and

My Favorite Holiday Christmas
Christmas is my favorite holiday. I have been so excited since it was only 1 day away! I already
made my Christmas list which includes this:
IPhone 8 plus
Soccer cleats
Soccer ball Surely, I know that Santa does not exist (sorry for destroying your hopes). My older
brother and I been knew our parents buy the presents and leaves it under the tree, so they can
make it look like Santa came. Though my little baby brother does not know that so let's make him
think that. We also do not want our parents to know that we know that they are the ones who bring
the presents so we keep that lowkey. Woooohh let me tell you the day we actually did believe it was
Santa. So it was Christmas Eve and my brothers and I knew we would have presents in the
morning. That night we decide to sleep early around 9:00 p.m. I went to my room and fell asleep.
Though I woke up to Andres coming in my room screaming "KIM!" So my first instinct was to
scream too. We tried to turn on the light, but the power went off. The next thing I know I was
hugging him. Suddenly, the lights came on and we noticed we hugging. So, we quickly pushed
each other and pretend nothing happened. We went to our parents room on the other side of the
house and told them what happen. My mom said," Probably Santa came!" She did not look like she
woke up, but my little 7–year–old self believed her. Andres and I went running to the tree, and sure
enough there were presents. (Present day) I went to my little brother's room where I found him
doing his Christmas list. Oh yeah have I told you that im going to the store today to buy my
family a Christmas present? Well, now you know I am. After Jesus was done with his christmas
list, I told him to give it to me so I can leave it in Santa's workshop. Sure enough he gave it to me.
Andres already told me he wanted a Wonder woman poster, so I guess I'll be nice enough to buy it
for him. I'm pretty sure my mom just wants some dishes since mexican moms be dedicating their
self to dishes. I'm buying my dad a piano since he loves playing the piano. Hopefully 347 bucks
would be enough since that's what I saved up all summer cleaning yards. Nice of me huh? So the
Valdosta Mall is about 3 blocks away. The first store I

My Favourite Holiday Essay

  • 1. My Favorite Holiday Essay My favorite holiday is Christmas. Traditionally celebrated at home, Christmas is thought to be a family holiday. However nowadays the habits and ideas of people have changed very much and Christmas becomes more of the global holiday when it is appropriate to meet with many friends and go out for the round the night crazy celebration. Every person finds his own most favorite things about Christmas. In this small essay I will examine what this holiday means to me, and what are the best parts of it that I personally enjoy. As for me, the best thing about Christmas is that special feeling in the air that is giving every person happiness and hope for the better future in the next year. During the Christmas celebration season people are...show more content... The celebration of Christmas is a special moment itself. I enjoy the process of preparing for the holiday very much. Our whole family participates in the process. For many years I am responsible for the decoration of the house. I like putting the Christmas toys on the tree and lighting the candles. Also I go outside the house and see what can be decorated there. Especially I like when it snows outside. The snow is a symbol of the Christmas; to me it is also a symbol of the renewal and cleanliness of the upcoming event. In addition the streets are simply decorated already when it is snowing outside. In conclusion I would like to summarize the factors that make Christmas a particularly interesting and great holiday. First of all, I enjoy the unique atmosphere of the holiday. The feeling that is present in the air at those days cannot be compared to anything else. The feeling of Holy joy and happiness arises every living thing to do good and kind things. The second thing that attracts me the most about the holiday is that during these days every person somehow goes back to the childhood. The presents under the Christmas tree along with congratulations from everyone in the street allows the person to feel himself young and full of strength, like in the days of youth when everything was possible and no worries could frighten him. The last but not least thing about Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. My Favorite Holiday My favorite holiday is one where I run downstairs nervous and happy at the same time waiting for the moment I start opening gifts. This holiday I am talking about is Christmas because of the traditions, decorations, and the fact that it can bring families together. To begin with I love the traditions that we have for Christmas. In the first place, we always make the same food every Christmas. For example, we concoct a dish called paneer butter masala. This dish consists of cottage cheese squares in a smooth, creamy sauce made up of onion and cashews. We also make a pear butter cake that has at least a pound of butter. These foods are my sister and my favorites and when we go to a restaurant we order these foods. Equally important is our Christmas tree. My sister and mom make intertwined rings consisting of construction paper. This creation perfectly describes our family because it shows how we are a very creative family and makes do with what we have. This creation surrounds the tree and looks very crafty. Furthermore, we always put the ornaments on the tree as a family. My mom hands out the ornaments and my dad, sister and I put the ornaments on the tree. My dad puts the ornaments where my sister and I can't reach. My sister puts the ornaments on the bottom and I put them in the middle. When all the ornaments are finally on the tree we put our paper ring creation on the tree along with the lights. While my sister and I put the lights on my mom and dad put the topper. Without a doubt, the traditions we have as a family are my favorite part of Christmas. It is my belief that the decorations are another great part of Christmas. In fact, I love the decorations so much I volunteer to put up the decorations. My favorite type of decorations are the ones outside. The part I admire most about the decorations is the projectors we got last year. We received these projectors as a gift from a friend. We used them last year and they looked marvelous. Many of our friends that went to our house commented on them. They can be used at any time of year and have images of everything from Santa to fireworks. One more part I admire about our outdoor decorations are the lights we have in the bushes and the gutters. Every few Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 4. My Favorite Holiday The closer we get to the holidays the more miserable I get. I don't really know why but for some reason over the last few years I just get that way. Christmas is mums favourite holiday, and I try not to ruin it for her but sometimes it's hard to put on the act. With all that has happened this year, I've learnt how to put a convincing smile. Most times its only there to put my mum at ease. Although I'm just fooling myself, she seems to buy it. Maybe we both fake a front face, to protect our inner emotions. Maybe we just put it up the front face, that we believe the other wished to see. Although she had it tough, when my father left her, all she had was me. I stayed by her side through tough times. Over the years, I matured at a younger...show more content... The brightness of the morning light and the stillness of the atmosphere made my palms drench in sweat, as I breathed, rapidly but shallow, to the unknowingness of the object. It was no bigger than a tissue box. Its white fluffy texture, and small black eyes glared in my direction. Suddenly it filled my heart with warmth, and joy. I walked closer to the object, and a strong, warm smile started to grow on my face. I was my long–lost teddy bear Charlie. I picked it up and gave it a hug it, the smell of the plush indelibly stamped my memory. The smell evoked my earliest memories. It was filled with images of my father at moments, where he was laughing as we played hide and seek together as I carried Charlie around, and the time where he first cut my hair and times where I was scared so I squeezed Charlie. And, now, as I stand on the same hall way, feeling the warmth of the sun on my face, almost 4 years later, I can't help but think of him. I can't help thinking of him, and all the pain he instilled into both, my mum and I during his final years, a burning sensation of hated grew every time I thought of him. Life changes so fast. Life changes in the instant. You sit down to dinner and life as you know it ends with the someone you once loved. I then wondered how this got placed here, it was unusual, because I passed the same spot every morning, not noticing it. The vivid evocation of father taking it was distant as I remember Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. My Favorite Holiday Is Christmas Essay I don't know about you, but my favorite holiday is Christmas; there's nothing better than waking up on Christmas morning to see what presents your parents had gotten you. This was my favorite part of Christmas and if you asked other kids they would say the same thing. Christmas was a time for opening gifts and enjoying time with family. Luckily for me, I went to my grandma 's on my mother's side. One year we go to my mother 's side and the following year we go to my father 's side. Even though I love getting presents on Christmas, it is not the only great thing about the holiday; spending time with your family, friends, and remembering Jesus Christ are important too. On the morning of December 25th, 2010, I was a twelve–year old boy. Waking up on Christmas morning was something I had been looking forward to for a few weeks. I was beyond excited to see what presents I had gotten from my parents. There was nothing better than getting to see what new toys I would have to play with. I woke up around 7 A.M. and ran into my parent's room to wake them up so we could open our presents; while I was jumping for joy, they were half awake and trying to get out of bed before I pulled them out myself. After they finally got out of bed we went into the living room. This is where we have always opened presents on Christmas Day. In my family, it has always been a tradition to open all of our gifts on Christmas morning. I sat on the couch with my mom, my two dogs with us, and my dad sat in Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. My Favorite Christmas Essay My All Time Favorite I enjoy every holiday on the calendar since it means a day off from school. However, the one that stands out the most is Christmas. Christmas is my all–time favorite holiday because of the joy of opening all the beautifully wrapped presents under the Christmas tree, listening to the wonderful, joyous Christmas music, enjoying the exclusive traditional Christmas feast, and the most important of all, the gathering with my father's side of the family, To begin with, I love to get together with my family and relatives and catching up with the latest gossips. For example, seeing my cousins with their boyfriends and girlfriends together is priceless. Our family is rather small, including all the aunts, uncles and cousins, there are only thirteen in all. However, due to our hectic busy schedules, I rarely get to visit them. Christmas is one of the few times in a year that I see my aunts, uncles, and cousins all at once. What I mean by this is that it is the only time that I was able to talk with my relatives in length, especially my favorite cousin from New Orleans and my aunt who never took a day off work except for Christmas. She works all the time, literally. My father's side of family is serious about the Christmas gathering. What I mean by this is that the dinner table is always full of food with a minimum of three to four entrГ©es, including prime ribs, barbecue spare ribs, ketchup shrimp and ham. Then there are roasted vegetables, salad, and mixed greens. If that is no enough, plenty of rice, potatoes, yams and rolls are available to fill our still empty stomachs. The food is always prepared in a combination of American and Chinese style to reflect our culture and tradition. After the dinner, there are enough delicious dessert to feed the entire neighborhood. In addition, knowing that all the food was homemade, and everyone had contributed in preparing, really made this dinner that much more special. Oh, I almost forget to mention that we started with appetizers of shrimp cocktails, assorted cheeses and pigs in the blankets for two straight hours before the dinner starts. Last but not lease, my cousin from New Orleans always have one or two exotic cocktail recipes up her sleeve to highlight Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. My Favorite Holiday Essay When I was younger we used to have a party with my dad's side of the family every year on Christmas. It was always my favorite holiday because of the family time that came along with it. That was until christmas came when I was eleven years old. There had been some family issues but everyone thought it would get pushed aside for the sake of the party. That wasn't the case and what went from being my favorite holiday is now something that brings anxiety and stress for my whole family because now every get together is awkward and full of tension. The party started like any other one with high energy from all my cousins and loud conversations from all the adults. This Christmas fell on a Sunday and my mom had to work the next day, so as the night dragged on and it got to be 8 o'clock and we still didn't open any presents my mom simply asked "Could we get started on presents?" Little did we know that small statement would lead to the biggest blow up imaginable. After she said that my uncle started screaming at mom saying "You're in my house and if you don't like it leave now!" This led to even more yelling but for me the whole argument seemed to go over in slow motion and everything started to play over in my mind. It starting with how confused I was over how this got so out of hand so quickly and how adults couldn't get along for a night for the sake of the party. The argument ended only a couple minutes later with my older sisters and I crying and my aunt coming over to Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. My Favourite Holiday Essay The 7–day stay in Zermatt, Switzerland was my favorite trip to date. The crisp, chilly air. The clear and blue skies and greenery everywhere blanketed by snow. It was a town I wouldn't mind to live in for the rest of my life. It was the perfect place to unwind in after the hardest trip ever from Milan. It was pretty early when we started to get into our taxi for the 30–minute ride to Milano Centrale, the city's most famous station and landmark. But it was 10 minutes into the ride when we had received a call from the hotel, saying that there is one piece of luggage that they had forgotten to load into the taxi. As we were in a very tight schedule, we urged the taxi driver to try to beat the traffic so that we wouldn't miss our train. We finally...show more content... Italy was known for its reckless drivers and complicated streets, so naturally we got stuck in the middle of it. As we inched slowly through the traffic, I could hear my dad sigh repeatedly and my sister starting to get impatient, bombarding my mom with questions regarding our trip and destination. It was then when we had noticed our driver was muttering in Italian with an alarmed look on his face, I leaned forward and followed his gaze towards the station which was just a few miles ahead. That was when I noticed a huge crowd occupying the street in front of the station. It was evident by the colorful signs and muted chants that a protest that was taking place. There were cars and trucks and army police surrounding them, barking commands in Italian while they get yelled at by the enraged protestors. All of a sudden, a deafening boom shook our cab, and the next thing we see are hundreds of people running in all directions as the police threw sound bombs. We were terrified to say the least, gawking out the window and the flurry of Italian youth clambered through the traffic to get away from the advancing forces. • 9. When my family gets together for a holiday, food is always a very big issue especially because we are a Filipino family. One Christmas, I remember we had a large amount of food. It was December 2012, and for the first time Christmas was held at our house that year. We had prepared for the Christmas party weeks in advance. All the decorations and lights were up around the house and the Christmas tree was beautifully lit like a clear night sky, with the star brightly shining at the top. Coming to our house for Christmas, we had family come from up and down the California coast. Everyone was going to be at my house for Christmas, my grandparents Dina and Rudy, my aunts Maria, Madean, Charmine, Emily, Minda, Christine, and Sydney, my...show more content... Our family never really had a separate kid's table and adult table. Everyone just sat at one table together as one big happy family. After eating our Christmas feast, it was then time for desserts and how sweet they were. My mom's Aunt Emily brought homemade batches of chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies, which were her own special recipe. Before everyone arrived, I baked moist chocolate brownies with white chocolate chips and dolapped a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of each. Meanwhile, the devil's food cake was covered in a shiny glaze of sweet chocolate and topped with snowman sprinkles. In addition, my Grandmother Dina had made taron, a banana wrapped in an egg roll that is deep fried and then later is topped with a sprinkle of sugar. Of course, the rice cakes were to die Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. My Winter Holiday Essay Like last winter holiday, I did a part–time job for a month in order to experience social life and earn some extra money. After seven days when I stayed at home, I went to a local supermarket and found a job which to promote the products. It was good for me because I just had to spend 6 hours per day to work outside. Nevertheless the biggest shortcoming is that during the work time I had no time to play with my friends and relatives. Thus, I didn't do anything fun until Feb.20. At the end of the holiday, I went to see a midnight movie and ate BBQ with my friend. I did feel happy when I could have fun with old friends and spend time earning some money. All in all, I enjoyed my winter holiday! Warm–up #2 If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why? If I can go to any place in the world, I want to go to Finland most. The idea comes from a variety show. It shows me a beautiful Finland. Snow gleams white there, like a kingdom that is covered by snow. • 11. My Favourite Holiday The all–inclusive, resort style holidays are so yesterday. These days, we want to come back from our holidays not only refreshed but having something to show for it too. Be it a bunch of like–minded new friends or personal progression and achievements, hobby holidays are becoming increasingly popular for a reason. From yoga to surfing to cooking, learning a totally new skill or giving your personal hobby the time it deserves is a much more rewarding way to spend your time off than working on that tan that will have well and truly faded on the flight home. No better way to explore the absolutely stunning Argentinian countryside than on the back of a horse. In fact add Chile, Mongolia, Spain, South Africa and Morocco to the list too! Cycling Holidays When I think of cycling holidays my mind wanders straight over to Europe. The idea of cycling through the French countryside, the Austrian Alps or the Croatian coastline almost has me drooling. These type of holidays are not meant so much for cycling enthusiasts, but your average person who wishes to get from A to B in a slightly less typical manner. • 12. My Favorite Holiday Analysis Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year. The holiday season is a family filled loving time. The one thing that I love about the season is the start of it. I love being with my friends and family, just having fun and spreading joy. I love the traditions that have been passed down through the family. One in particular is when my whole family goes on vacation with all of my aunts, uncles, and cousins. It's the one time of the year when we are all together for a period of time. This tradition has been going on since before my mom was even a child. Every thanksgiving my whole family goes to a resort in West Virginia. The resort is all about theChristmas spirit. There are decorations, lights, and christmas trees everywhere. The people there are great and being with family is even better. Two years ago was my favorite year that we went. There isn't one specific moment that is my favorite memory, my favorite memory is the whole trip itself. The ride there was about three hours and it's my least favorite part because I was so anxious to get there and have fun with everyone. We got there on Thanksgiving afternoon and we got dinner right when we got there. The food was freshly cooked and tasted delicious. After we ate we went swimming and I played with all of my cousins doing different activities at the pool. The adults played card games and watched us at the pool. After we all got tired and went to our rooms and got changed and played in the arcade. Down in the lobby there Get more content on HelpWriting.net

That special time of year that many children look forward to.My favorite holiday is Halloween because of it's treats, costumes and decorations. The treats, for example are one of the best parts of this holiday. The candy for starters is well known part of Halloween. Lollipops are a popular candy and children enjoy them very much, or at the very least I do. There are also the classic chocolate candies, basically anything that has chocolate in it, for example Hershey bars, Charleston chews, Snickers etc, all classics. Furthermore we have the well known "Not candy but still pretty dang cool" treats. This Halloween, I got at least 6 glow sticks, and though that might be a bit too many glow sticks for one person, but nonetheless a delight to have on such a scary night. Additionally there's pretzels and coins in this category, and though personally I despise pretzels I like how people can get creative or do something different by handing out all kinds of other things.Clearly Halloween treats are a big part of the reason Halloween is so great. Now onto the next thing that makes Halloween such a great holiday, the costumes. For example, take into account all the scary costumes and just appreciate the effort some of these people go through in order to terrify you.By scary costumes I mean things from famous horror icons like Jason, Pennywise (older or modern version of Pennywise),Ghost face and many more. Then there are people's own horrifying creations like dressing as ghosts or zombies. Moreover we can't forget about the cute costumes. I mean there has to be something magical behind a night where you see a pink superhero bunny and Freddy Krueger just walking down the same street. Throughout my Halloween experience I have seen at least 3 ducks, 2 puppies ,1 bunny and a pumpkin suit, these outfits were actually worn by young children.Without a doubt the colorful balance of all different kinds of costumes truly helps Halloween pull it all together and be greatly enjoyed. Now let's begin with the decorations, the decorations are probably not exactly the most important part, but rather like a neat, secure bow that Get more content on HelpWriting.net

With the joyful festivities, the snowy weather, and the long winter break, Christmas is my number one favorite holiday. There's so much associated with the holiday such as the upbeat music, the exquisite decorations, no school for two weeks, and the snowy weather! For example, the spirit of this holiday is like no other. There's multiple albums of music composed meant to be played all winter season dedicated to this holiday. There's a wide spectrum of the genres of the Christmas music played, and some of my all time favorites include All I Want For Christmas, Let it Snow, and Feliz Navidad! To my delight, the popular songs are usually blasted in speakers throughout most public gatherings such as the mall, or the grocery store, which always puts me in the "merry mood!" Additionally, during December, families can be seen buying extravagant decor to dress a towering evergreen tree from top to bottom with glittering ornaments and sparkling stringed lights hugging the whole circumference of the tree. The glass baubles balance on each evergreen leaf, displayed in an abundance of hues and designs. What I mean by this detail, is that Christmas is a unique holiday, filled with it's own music and jingles to add to the true Christmas "spirit". There are songs such as Rudolf the Red Nosed Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. My Favorite Holiday Christmas is my favorite holiday. I was so excited since it was only 1 day away!!! I already made my christmas list which include this: Iphone 8 plus Soccer cleats Soccerball I'm 13 years old, so I surely know that Santa doesn't exist (sorry for destroying yalls hope). My older brother and I been knew that our parents buy the presents and leaves it under the tree so they can make it look like santa came. Though my little baby brother doesn't know that so let's make him think that. But we also don't want our parents to know that we know that they are the ones who bring the presents so we keep that lowkey. But woooohh let me tell yall the day we actually did believe it was Santa. So it was Christmas Eve and my brothers and I knew we would have presents in the morning. That night we decide to sleep early around 9:00 p.m. I went to my room and fell asleep. Though I woke up to ANdres coming in my room screaming "KIMMM!!" So my first instinct was to scream too. We tried to turn on the light but the power went off. The next thing I know I was hugging him. Suddenly the lights came on and we noticed we hugging. So we quickly pushed each other and pretend nothing happen. We Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 16. My Favorite Holiday Is Christmas In my birth story there is nothing really to it unless you count me just being born. I asked my mom, but, she said nothing really happened. But, one thing that she said was that she was craving some foods like burgers and red cream soda and some other stuff. But after months and months I was delivered at Good Samaritan Hospital and weighed 7lbs 12.8oz. She always had a name in mind for me, and it was Jackson because, she loved the name and it meant God has been Gracious. Do you know your favorite holiday because I know mine. Mine is Christmas because that's when you get presents and celebrate the life of Jesus. But it only happens once a year, which sucks. But, another good thing is we get 2 weeks off of school for it. And maybe some snow days around that time too. One other reason is I like to spend time with my family. My family gets a live tree every year and the tree fills the house with the smell of it. But Christmas is not my only favorite thing I also like a sport too. And it is soccer. My main reason I like it is because it has a lot of sprinting. Also, I like to move stuff with my feet. I also like to watch the sport to see how I could get better. I think I'm good at soccer because many people have told me I am really good. On weekends when I have a lot of games I like it because I get to play the whole game. When I get to high school, I will enjoy playing soccer for the high school. The reason I like to use my feet is because I have good coordination skills. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. My Favorite Holiday I have recently visited Yosemite National Park with my friends on a Memorial Day Weekend. This is the first public holiday of the year every working American gets since New Year so we expected it's going to be really busy and crowded. Yosemite National Park, is truly one of the most beautiful parks I have ever been. Although I had an amazing time, I wish I had done more planning before going to see this magnificent creation of nature. To avoid disappointments, I listed a few things below on WHAT TO EXPECT, WHAT TO DO AND NOT TO DO when visiting Yosemite National Park. Plus, I am going to be giving you the best tip ever to enjoy glacier point without queueing for hours! EXPECT If you are tired of the hustle and bustle of the City and just want to see quintessentially English villages and a beautiful countryside then you would like Cotswolds. Cotswolds is where you can find the most beautiful village in England called Bibury. Would you believe that, I have lived in England for 7 years and never ever visited Cotswolds, until I moved to Los Angeles and came back to England to visit Mr Explorer's parents. Every year, we would visit England and take Mr Explorer's parents for short break somewhere nice. This time we decided we would take them to Cotswolds. How to get there? Cotswolds is about 2 hour 10 minutes' drive from London via M40 and A40. We rented a car as it's always more comfortable than taking the train. You can explore the surrounding areas better that way. • 18. My Favorite Holiday It's that wonderful time of year where the leaves change color, the weather gets colder and yes, there is pumpkin spice. There is also one of my favorite holidays which brings horror movies, scary dГ©cor, costumes and trick or treating. I tend to go a little crazy with Halloween, or at least as far as our budget allows. And with three kids and one income, you would be surprised with all the things you can do. All you need is an open mind and some creativity, and maybe Pinterest. I've been decorating my house for the holidays ever since I moved out on my own at 19. Back then I started with a tiny tub of cheap decorations and now 13 years later I've overflowed two huge tubs. My twins are going on five years old this year and are really starting to appreciate things like decorations and the efforts I put into it. Now while I can't go buy the two story inflatable dragon to put in the front yard, the kids love the "spooky house" I have put together this year. First things first, the dollar store is your friend. And while everything is $1 you can find some really great decorations there. With some well–placed spider webs and plastic spiders the living room is transformed into my worst nightmare. Now if I can just remember in the middle of the night when I run into one that it is, indeed, plastic. I previously said that I've built up quite a collection of items which is thanks to the after Halloween sale. There is where majority of items can be bought at 50%–75% off. That is really Get more content on HelpWriting.net

My Favourite Holiday Destination My Favourite Holiday Destination I have been to several places around the world, Mumbai and Goa in India, Paris in France, Hamburg in Germany, Rome and Venice in Italy, Vatican City, Singapore, Hong Kong, Melbourne and Sydney in Australia but my personal favourite is the Brisbane–Gold Coast trip which also happens to be in Australia. I liked it very much since Gold Coast had 2 huge theme parks and an amazing water park. It was the 16th of December we were on our way to Dubai International Airport to board our 8 o'clock morning flight which was due to land at 6 o'clock the next morning in Brisbane, Australia. It was a 16 hour long journey! At Brisbane airport we were picked up by my aunt and we went to her house where we were to stay. The...show more content... The next ride waiting in the creepy shadows was the Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster. The Spooky Coaster is a $13 million indoor rollercoaster ride inspired by the feature film shot at Warner Roadshow Movie World Studios on the Gold Coast. In this ride you enter the creepy dimly lit courtyard and move into the heart of Spooky Castle where ghouls, gargoyles and an odd talking suit of armor jump out of the shadows to scare you!. The coaster cars are carefully replicated from the movie Scooby – Doo, the ride launched us on a hair–raising journey complete with laser lighting and sound effects, animatronics and a kaleidoscope of colour, depth, height and trickery of dimension. I rated this as extreme on the thrill meter. It was now 6:25 and as the park closes at 7:30 the last show of the Hollywood stunt driver was about to start in 5 minutes. From the moment we entered the arena of Hollywood Stunt Driver we were immersed in a real–live action 'working' movie set. This purpose built and designed arena was the backdrop for what can only be described as brilliant blockbusting movie action from start to finish. Incorporating breathtaking stunts, precision driving, incredible scenes of exhilarating action and the performance of a cast and crew with immeasurable talent, we didn't want to miss a second of this action packed extravaganza! For a full 30 minutes drivers performed their death defying stunts, and like any good movie we wanted to see it again and Get more content on HelpWriting.net

She did not look like she woke up, but my little 7–year–old self believed her. Andres and I went running to the tree, and sure enough there were presents. (Present day) I went to my little brother's room where I found him doing his Christmas list. Oh yeah have I told you that im going to the store today to buy my family a Christmas present? Well, now you know I am. After Jesus was done with his christmas list, I told him to give it to me so I can leave it in Santa's workshop. Sure enough he gave it to me. Andres already told me he wanted a Wonder woman poster, so I guess I'll be nice enough to buy it for him. I'm pretty sure my mom just wants some dishes since mexican moms be dedicating their self to dishes. I'm buying my dad a piano since he loves playing the piano. Hopefully 347 bucks would be enough since that's what I saved up all summer cleaning yards. Nice of me huh? So the Valdosta Mall is about 3 blocks away.
