Back in July 2008, roughly a week before the highly anticipated iPhone 3G launch (remember?), we produced Viking Smackdown, one of the
very first mobile websites to utilize the iPhone’s accelerometer. A few hundred thousand people, eager for anything iPhone, visited the site and
played the game. Some, for over an hour a piece. The mobile app was an Apple App Store “Pick of the Week” during the iPhone 3G launch.
