Hannah Schreiner conducted directed research over the summer of 2013 under Tom Klinkowstein. The document outlines her research process, which included surveying respected news sources and experts, engaging in discussions with design and other field experts, organizing collected data, analyzing it to find patterns, continuing discussions based on findings, and coming to a conclusion informed by research and discussions. Three topics that Hannah proposed studying are: how to make food distribution more social and transparent, using co-speech and compact messages to assist second language acquisition, and using compact messages about comedy and social issues to engage millennials.
