Setting At the beginning of the scene you start by hearing humming and a man looking
down a scope to an exaction suddenly the music kicks in and suddenly gets loud and
a lot starts to happen the music stays loud for the duration of the scene the scene
also has birds chirping a distant voice speaking .
The music that establishes the setting is taken
from a song but is the main soundtrack of the
trailer. The song has been edited throughout so
that sound effects and talking take over at
different elements in the video this would have
been done in sound editing software like reaper
to get this effect of it being drowned out.
Mood The mood that the music puts across makes it exciting throughout the scene by
using the music it establishes that the scene is very dramatic but exciting and
happens very fast.
The entire soundtrack to show the mood of the
scene was conveyed by the music used by using
that music it shows the game mood and gives it
the right feel for upcoming trailers
Game genre The game is action, RPG this is shown through the sounds of gunshots and loud
bangs and thumps. Using these sounds it shows that the game will have a lot of guns
and explosions establishing the action. The RPG elements are shown by all the
sounds that show him travelling and running around saving people.
I think these sounds would have been created by
recordings and then editing also different sounds
mashed together and edited using sound software
so that they sound like gunshots and explosions.
Narrative The narrative of the game is established by the environment and how it has been
used in the clip and the sounds that accompany it also by the girl that is being
hanged it shows that something bigger is happening in this city than what we
initially thought.
The techniques of the music to establish the
narrative shows that the story will be very fast
paced and powerful. Because of the music they
used in the scene shows that there is something
happening like a revolution or war the sounds are
loud and have been edited to make it clear and
give a perspective on what sounds are going to be
used in the game. I think that sounds would have
