Elizabeth Halligan 2010-2011 Quiet to out-spoken
Inquiry Were we going to go outside to bury the boxes?   Are we actually going to dig up what other people have buried?
Signifigance The board game project was valuable to my own life because I learned more about circuits.
Perspective I've developed leadership skills while working on the game board project. By working with other people I get to see and share different ideas.
Evidence I knew what to believe when the evidence proved that the information was correct.      You have to know the right evidence in order to give people the correct information.

  1. Hi my name is Elizabeth at the beginning of PBL I was quiet and shy. But now I am more outgoing and out-spoken. In the first semester I did not interact with a lot of people but now I participate with other people and in the projects.
  2. Some questions I had.  Were we going to go outside to bury the boxes? I thought it would be hard to dig in the frozen dirt. Are we actually going to dig up what other people have buried? How is digging in the dirt and finding what other people have burred.
  3. I learned more about circuits because I had to put a circuit in the barn and the cat house on our board game. I also learned how to put two wires together and make them work to light up a light bulb.
  4.   I've developed leadership skills while working on the game board project.  By working with other people I get to see and share different ideas. I've developed leadership skills by taking charge in the project. By working in a group it helps me think of other ideas. Helps me think of ideas and helps me communicate better. I never thought that mat and science could go togethre in a project.
  5. We buried boxes and then dug them up a couple weeks later.  From the evidence we were able to have the right information to tell whose box it was.
  6. At first I did not understand how to budget but by the end of the project I knew how to do monthly income and other informaiton that did not seem related at first. I learned how to figure State and fedreal income tax. In my project I bought a car and a house.
  7. Make sure I am actively participating in the research of all the projects and I predict the outcome will be knowledge for me.  With eacxh project I have learned new and important information that will help me in the future and the more projects that we do I will gather more information.    
  8. I have learned that I comprehend things better if information is read to me that if I read it myself. I like working in groups because I get other people's perspectives. I like the PBL because I like projects and learn better that way and that is the basis of PBL.
