Was ist das Hereditäre Angioödem?
HAE ist gekennzeichnet durch ein
wiederholtes Auftreten von zum Teil
schmerzhaften Schwellungen (Ödem =
Wasseransammlung) der Haut und
Schleimhäute und/oder tagelange
Schmerzattacken im Magen-Darm-Trakt.
Diese bilden sich in der Regel nach zwei
bis fünf Tagen zurück.
Häufig treten die Ödeme im Gesicht, im Hals,
an den Extremitäten, aber auch an Genitalien
und Gesäß auf und können über schmerz-
hafte Spannungen zu Kreislaufproblemen bis
hin zum Kollaps führen. Besonders gefähr-
lich für die Betroffenen sind akute
Erstickungs-anfälle aufgrund einer Schwel-
lung im Hals.
