Marriage in India The marriage is to represent life. The divorce rate is super low. In America the divorce rate is 50% but in India the rate is 1.1%. The traditional Indian wedding is about two families uniting together socially.  There are different roles in the wedding there are the bride, groom, priest/mc, bride and grooms parents, brides maternal uncle, brides brother or cousin or male friend, best man, singers, and flower girls (optional) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_wedding
Marriage in India The wardrobe: the groom wears a long shirt that goes down to his knees with some leggings or they can wear a turban. The bride wears a sari. A sari is a cloth that is not stitched and it runs from about 4 to 9 meters. You can wear it in many styles.  When you walk into the wedding you must have on sandals or slip-on shoes. Marriage in China There are 6 rituals they have to do when getting married. Proposing, birthday matching, presenting gifts, presenting wedding gifts, selecting the wedding date, wedding ceremony, and related readings.  Before the modern times, the women were never allowed to choose their partner. The family always chose. If the boy’s parents knew that the family was poor he could not marry her. Marriage in China Nowadays they are starting women’s rights to choosing their partner. To marry, women must be twenty years old and the men must me twenty-two years old.
