4. 3rd Peer Review Group Reporting21 April 20154/17 www.gwpcee.org
General observations
Where are we at the end? (responsibility of IDMP CEE consortium):
many written comprehensive Milestone / Output reports
scientific / professional content: varying
language; none-native speakers
restricted referencing; some refer to old literature
from the region and do not relate to recent literature
not all focus on drought, but have a wider perspective
some duplication; not always consistent
5. 3rd Peer Review Group Reporting21 April 20155/17 www.gwpcee.org
General observations
IDMP CEE Activities (responsibility GWP):
very ambitious and limited in budget
rather short lifetime (1.5 – 2 yr)
supply-driven (“what can we offer”) rather than balanced between
demand (“what does CEE need”) and supply. Priorities of countries
were only considered to a certain extend
6. 3rd Peer Review Group Reporting21 April 20156/17 www.gwpcee.org
General observations
IDMP CEE Activities (responsibility GWP cont’d):
not consistent in terms of Milestones (steps toward final product)
and Outputs (IDMP programme structure)
last Output did not cover/synthesize the whole activity (was not
planned)
very limited interaction across activities (cross-cutting needs to be
organized and planned)
7. 3rd Peer Review Group Reporting21 April 20157/17 www.gwpcee.org
General observations
IDMP CEE Activities (responsibility GWP cont’d):
Lot of work is half-way, but very valuable and can easily be lost.
Follow-up is urgently required
Dissemination plan is not well described; is it beyond the lifetime
of the project? Follow-up needed.
Good start was consultation of CEE countries (Inception Report).
How do we close circle (back to countries)? Follow-up
