6. GOALS • Dribble with head and eyes up with both hands. • Dribble without losing control of the basketball. • Being able to understand what to do when on offense and defense.
8. Assessment •The student will do dribbling drills with the basketball while keeping head up, not looking at the ball. •The student will dribble around chairs without losing control. •The student will know how to run different offenses and defenses
9. Tasks •Dribble the ball while looking at up, not the ball. •Dribble around 5 chairs while keeping the ball under control (it is not a race, it is for control). •Dribble the ball with your fingertips, do not slap at the ball, treat it like an egg.

11. Teaching Strategies •Trust yourself, trust the ball, it will come back to you, believe it. •Do not make it a race, do not beat the person next to you, beat my challenge of getting through the chairs. •Treat the ball like an egg, be gentle, do not slap at it, use your fingertips.

Management •Everyone will stand in a straight line, one at a time they will dribble and look at me. •2 lines with 5 chairs lined up in front of each line, two at a time they dribble down through the chairs and then dribble back around. • Have 5 players on offense and 5 on defense, to teach how to score and defend.
