2. What is the intention?
The intention of this presentation is to provide
teacher candidates a resource for their upcoming
practicum and other teaching experiences.
It provides new ideas to integrate into teaching to
enhance the children's learning experience and
make learning more enjoyable.
It provides a way to teach different types of
learners, more specifically, kinesthetic learners.
3. How will this be fulfilled?
First of all, physical activity will be integrated into the
initial curriculum.
As teachers, we want to be able to connect with all
students of different learning and physical abilities.
Integration of physical activity in a classroom provides a
break for the students so they are not constantly sitting.
Learning through movement influences children to a
healthy and active lifestyle.
4. Physical activity can be integrated into the curriculum by
adding movement and activities to lessons on all subject
areas, including math, science and social studies.
Activities can be short, efficient and done right in the
classroom setting.
These activities are called "Energizers" which will be
explained in the next section

Energizers- short physical activities that are incorporated
into curriculum content two or three times a day, to
enhance learning and enjoyment.
The purpose of an "energizer" is to provide an opportunity
for the students to engage in movement while learning.
