Best Fundraising Ideas for Halloween

FUNDRAISING IDEAS
FOR HALLOWEEN
Halloween is a great time of year to host
creative fundraising ideas. Not only will a
group or school raise money for what is
needed, but the supporters will have fun
with the fundraiser as well.
Halloween falls on the 31st of October -
the day before All Saints Day. It is
traditionally associated with witches,
ghosts, vampires, monsters and pumpkins.
Halloween is perfect for anyone looking for
large scale fundraising event ideas. The only
thing better than getting candy this
Halloween would be getting money – money
for your fundraising page, of course.
We have assembled some of our
favorite Halloween Fundraising Ideas many
of which may be used in conjunction with
each other to maximize the amount of profit
from your Halloween fundraiser.
The (Haunted) House Party
Candle Lighters have taken the haunted
house craze and made it the focus of its
annual Halloween fundraiser, Ghost
House. This can be held for both children
and adults, at separate times in the day
obviously. You can charge friends, family
and others to come to the haunted house
and donate the proceeds to the charity of
your choice.
Spooky Eye Cake Pops
Baking for a Halloween Bake Sale is also a
little bit more fun. Ask your volunteers to
bake some scary treats to sell. This is an
option that can be incorporated into a
bigger event or run on it’s own.

much time and who likes cake
Count the Maggots
This is a great Halloween variation on the
popular fete game by guessing the
number of sweets in a jar.
Buy your maggots from a fishing tackle
shop and count them into a jar or bowl.
Charge to guess the number of maggots.
Either list guesses against people's names
or you need to have a paper with
appropriate numbers listed that people
can put their name against. The actual
number to the closest of maggots at the
end of the day wins a prize.
Kids will love this one!
Trick-or-treat
Instead of asking for chocolate and sugary
treats ask for a small donation towards
your chosen charity, do this in different
age categories and even open it up
beyond your school or group to the wider
community and make sure you dress up, it
wouldn’t be the Halloween if you didn’t.
Movie Fright Night
Get a group together and make sure you
have plenty scary movies (old and new),
sugary treats and drinks on hand,
Halloween style of course. Charge an
entry fee and sell popcorn/hot
dogs/drinks/glow sticks and if your
venue allows you could charge extra for a
‘gold class’ upgrades to bean bags or
comfy chairs with blankets, pillows and
maybe even a personal waiter.
Goblin Cookies
Halloween fundraisers do not have to be
complicated.
Who amongst your colleagues could
resist a special Homemade Halloween
Biscuit delivered to their desk.
On Your Marks, Get Set,
Gho-st!
For those of you who are into fitness, or
perhaps just want a bit of fun, how about
staging a sponsored Zombie chase in
your local forest? Just grab a group of
your mates, create a fundraising event
page and you’re off.
