As the industry has gotten bigger, video games have begun to widely feature more mature content
than ever before. From gory violence, to dark, expansive plots, video games are now more than
capable of producing adult content on the same level as the movie industry. A controversial point
of discussion with video games is those that feature any kind of nudity or sexual content. Because
video games are still considered by many to be children’s toys, certain conservative groups have
found sexual content in video games to be highly disagreeable and immoral. Of course, video
games are no longer confined to the realm of children’s play things and nerdy fanatics. Rather,
gaming is fast becoming the world’s biggest entertainment industry, with titles such as Grand Theft
Auto V making far more money than even the biggest Hollywood blockbusters. Despite this,
gaming’s juvenile past is still somewhat prevalent in the industry, and even large AAA releases are
accused of sexism and using sex as a selling tool. While there are many games in which the mature
story and setting provide sufficient context for sexual content, there are just as many that use
nudity as gratification for a male gaming audience. We’ve put together a list of video games
featuring nude scenes that seemed to come out of the blue, thanks to the otherwise totally non‐sexual
games they’re featured in, or the unusual scenes themselves. Please note that reader
discretion is advised, as there is some mature sexual content featured here, including some
surprisingly explicit videos.
10. Metro Last Light

The Metro series is pretty grim. Set in the metro system of a post‐apocalyptic Moscow, the games
are very serious, often terrifying affairs. Therefore, for most players, they’d be the last games you’d
expect to be paying for a topless one‐on‐one session with a young stripper. Both games feature the
ability to pay for a lap dance, but the most intimate can be found in Metro Last Light. Upon arriving
in the flooded station nicknamed ‘Venice’, Artyom is able to solicit the services of a stripper, paying
bullets in exchange for a lengthy, graphic session.
9. Dante’s Inferno
Dante’s Inferno, released in 2010, may have been a bit of a rip‐off of the extremely popular God of
War series, but it had a compelling premise. Loosely based on Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy, the
game follows a Templar knight as he battles through the nine circles of hell in order to rescue the
soul of his beloved. It’s a bloody affair, featuring swarms of nightmarish monsters throughout.
However, it’s when players reach the ‘Lust’ circle that things get pretty weird. The realm is haunted

by a gigantic Queen Cleopatra, who is wearing clothing that leaves very little to the imagination.
Her plan is to tempt the Templar into a kiss that will forever bring him under her control, making
for a rather steamy boss battle.
8. Heavy Rain
Developers Quantic Dream aren’t known to shy away from adult themes in their games, which
often resemble interactive movies more than they do video games. This includes nudity and sex
scenes, as seen in Heavy Rain when one of the main characters Madison decides to have a shower
to destress. Just about everything is on show during the shower scene, and it helped to introduce
to gamers that Heavy Rain was a game aimed squarely at an adult audience. The game also
featured sex scenes later on, and though awkward, they were handled far more maturely than
most games on the market.
7. Enemy Zero

Enemy Zero for the Sega Saturn is probably the most obscure title on this list, as it was created
solely for the ill‐fated Sega Saturn. The game was about an alien infestation on an abandoned
spaceship, packaged in a first‐person adventure. Beyond some horror elements, the game didn’t
feature much in the way of adult material. However, if players were able to complete the game on
normal, then they were ‘rewarded’ with a suprise nude shower scene at the start of a new game.
6. Metroid
Ok, so this one isn’t technically a proper nude scene. For contemporary players, it was certainly
unexpected though. After a full game’s worth of playtime, it was naturally assumed that Samus
was a typically male action hero. However, after completing Metroid within 3‐5 hours, Samus’
helmet somehow disappears, and it’s revealed that she’s actually female. If players are able to
complete the game in under an hour, then her entire suit disappears, and she waves at the player
in a comically sexist scene where she wears nothing but underwear.

5. The Witcher 2: Assassins Of Kings
For veterans familiar with the series, that there’ll be nudity in a Witcher game is something of a no
brainer. However, those that bought The Witcher 2 based purely on its reputation as a solid action
RPG were in for a quite a surprise. In one of the very first scenes of the game, we are treated to a
sequence involving Geralt and Triss waking up in bed together, completely naked. Of course, this
was a prelude to a large amount of graphic sexual encounters, including the notorious water scene
in which Triss magically removes her entire outfit.
4. Conker’s Bad Fur Day
If this were a list of the crudest game ever released, then Conker’s Bad Fur Day for the Nintendo
64 would be right at the very top. Featuring excessive profanity, frequent innuendo, and a giant

boss composed entirely of poo, Conker’s Bad Fur Day was an absolutely hilarious title. However,
whether purchasers of the game were expecting a kid’s game or not, almost noone was expecting
a large‐breasted, topless sunflower. Conker summons a swarm of ‘tickly bees’ in order to get her
to reveal her bosom, so that Mr. Bee can ‘pollinate’ her. Following this, Conker is able to bounce
on her breasts in order to jump up to a high‐up cavern. Stay classy, Rare.
3. Grand Theft Auto V
If you were asked to name a video game series in which you’d expect to see sexual content, then
Grand Theft Auto would likely be one of them. Rockstar’s open world crime games are notorious
for their adult content, and Grand Theft Auto V is no exception. However, players most certainly
weren’t expecting to see the crazed redneck Trevor’s todger dangling about. Male frontal nudity is
even rarer in video games than it is in movies, although it should’ve surprised noone that the ever‐controversial
Rockstar decided to tackle this taboo. Many criticized the scene as unnecessary and
gratuitous, but it served as an excellent reminder of Trevor’s shameless and unhinged character.
2. Fahrenheit / Indigo Prophecy

Before Heavy Rain, Quantic Dream were well known for their mystery action‐drama Fahrenheit
(named Indigo Prophecy in North America). Similarly to their later games, Fahrenheit featured a
lot of adult content, with a plot that involved people being possessed and murdering strangers.
The game managed to generate controversy based on its sex scenes though, which featured full
male and female nudity. The scenes were cut in the North American release, which is a shame
because they genuinely added a lot to the mature storyline. Fortunately, five years later, Heavy
Rain managed to see an uncut North American release.
1. Far Cry 3
Far Cry 3 was a huge commercial and critical success, thanks to its open ended gameplay and
interesting characterisation. One of the most intriguing characters (other than the already
legendary Vaas) was that of Citra, the leader of the Rakyat people. In the final scene of the game,
the player is given the choice of freeing his friends and escaping the island, or killing them and

joining Citra in leading her people to glory. If protagonist Jason chooses to join Citra, then they
engage in ritualistic intercourse, which takes place entirely in the first‐person. It’s a surprisingly
graphic scene, featuring complete full frontal nudity from Citra. Unfortunately, once the copulation
ends, Jason is stabbed in the chest by Citra, and the game ends. So, not such a happy ending after
all.
