  • The aKite Retail Web Services are an intelligent HUB in the Clouds . We chosed Microsoft Windows Azure because it is much more than Virtual machines on demand. It is an advanced Platform as a Service where system problems like fault tolerance, load balancing, disaster recovery, and so on are handled automatically so we can concentrate on adding value for our customers. Sales made in each store immediately reach our HUB, are persisted on SQL Azure and instantly forwarded to the chain HQ and, if necessary, to other services. In the upper Cloud you can see CRM, EDI, Logistics, Business Intelligence, ... For example we are now working on integration with Social Networks like Facebook.
