NetMatrix TLE Terminal Line Encryption. SPVA certified, DUKPT, 3DES, DES, AES...Alex Tan
NetMATRIX (Multi-Application Transaction Routing and Identification eXchange) Terminal Line Encryption - is the complete solution for banks wishing to introduce terminal line encryption into their existing POS network infrastructure.
1. Multi-box, high-performance, high-availability, load-balancing architecture
2. Multi-host links: Performs smart routing to multiple hosts
3. Multiple channels: dial-ups, lease lines, GPRS, broadband
4. End-to-end encryption (E2EE) featuring multiple encryption algorithms : TEA, DES, 3DES, AES
5. Upstream/Downstream encryption
6. Multiple MACing algorithms : X9.9, X9.19, SHA-1 + X9.9, SHA-1 + X9.19
7. Multiple key management schemes: Unique key per terminal, unique key per transaction
8. Supports different messaging formats (full message encryption, selected field encryption)
9. Local and remote secure key injection capabilities
10. Supports leading terminal brands and models
11. PCI compliance
With NetMATRIX TLE, we addressed network security and fraud threats with a plug-and-play solution that requires no host changes. In providing critical capabilities such as remote key injection and management, NetMATRIX also addresses other administration and deployment issues such as mixed terminal environments, phased deployments, and key changeovers.
Despite its holistic approach to security and encryption, it is also scalable and highly available to meet the demands of mission-critical, high-volume transaction processing environments providing 3-in-1fuctionality: a combination Switching NAC, Concentrator NAC and TLE.
After three years of development, Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, co-founded the digital ID platform Worldcoin, which made its official debut in July 2023. In essence, Worldcoin aims to provide its users with a digital identity that has been validated, a special cryptocurrency token called Worldcoin (WLD), and a specialized cryptocurrency wallet app. Platform’s most unique feature is the ability to create secure, unchangeable identification codes by scanning users' iris. However, there has been a good deal of debate and criticism surrounding.

FIDO Alliance: Year in Review Webinar slides from January 20 2016FIDO Alliance
Last year was a year of great progress for the FIDO Alliance and standards-based strong authentication. Tens of millions of FIDO-enabled devices are now in use worldwide. There are over 100 FIDO Certified™ products available, and nearly 250 organizations are now taking part in the Alliance, including more than a dozen trade association partners. The market is clearly showing that now is the time to deploy FIDO authentication to modernize failing password systems.
These slides address:
– The uptake in global momentum
– Details on FIDO’s recent submission to the World Wide Web Consortium
– The Alliance’s plans and strategy for 2016 and what this means to you and your organization in the upcoming year
We encourage you and your colleagues to view these slides to catch up on what happened in 2015 and to learn how FIDO’s explosive growth can benefit your organization in 2016. You can listen to the webinar audio here: https://fidoalliance.org/events/fido-alliance-year-in-review-webinar/

FinTech (Financial Technology) refers to exploiting technologies (e.g. mobile devices, internet/web technologies) for providing innovative financial services. Some examples of FinTech are money transfer/digital currency, payments/billing system and P2P lending/cloud funding system. The technology/service developments of FinTech can be protected by either software patents or business method patents. Following patents illustrate some examples of the technology/service developments of FinTech. The internet connected IoT devices combined with FinTech can provide diverse value added financial services. Some examples are secured smart transactions, smart POS systems and personalized banking service. Following patents illustrate some examples of the technology/service developments of IoT/FinTech.

Security and Authentication at a Low CostDonald Malloy
Online security, strong authentication and One time Password technology has been too expensive for too long. Open source using OATH algorithms provide security without being prohibitively expensive.
Abstract: This presentation discusses multi-factor authentication, and what to look for if you are planning a product refresh, or implementing a solution for the first time. Since there are over 200 vendors, it is not easy to select the best solution for your needs. The goal of this presentation is to arm you with questions to ask, plus identify some suboptimal technologies to avoid. Your feedback to vendors will help them provide better, more secure products and services.
In his public lecture, Christian Timmerer provides insights into the fascinating history of video streaming, starting from its humble beginnings before YouTube to the groundbreaking technologies that now dominate platforms like Netflix and ORF ON. Timmerer also presents provocative contributions of his own that have significantly influenced the industry. He concludes by looking at future challenges and invites the audience to join in a discussion.

Climate Impact of Software Testing at Nordic Testing DaysKari Kakkonen
My slides at Nordic Testing Days 6.6.2024
Climate impact / sustainability of software testing discussed on the talk. ICT and testing must carry their part of global responsibility to help with the climat warming. We can minimize the carbon footprint but we can also have a carbon handprint, a positive impact on the climate. Quality characteristics can be added with sustainability, and then measured continuously. Test environments can be used less, and in smaller scale and on demand. Test techniques can be used in optimizing or minimizing number of tests. Test automation can be used to speed up testing.
DevOps and Testing slides at DASA ConnectKari Kakkonen

Observability Concepts EVERY Developer Should Know -- DeveloperWeek Europe.pdfPaige Cruz
Monitoring and observability aren’t traditionally found in software curriculums and many of us cobble this knowledge together from whatever vendor or ecosystem we were first introduced to and whatever is a part of your current company’s observability stack.
While the dev and ops silo continues to crumble….many organizations still relegate monitoring & observability as the purview of ops, infra and SRE teams. This is a mistake - achieving a highly observable system requires collaboration up and down the stack.
I, a former op, would like to extend an invitation to all application developers to join the observability party will share these foundational concepts to build on:
