2. Towards the creation of my film
poster I have used a grey
headline. As you can see on the
empire film magazine they have
also used a similar style headline
with a grey font.
From the two empire magazines I
have also developed there
conventions. As you can see in the
empire magazine below they have
produced film reel to display their
subsidiary images. In empire
magazine at the top they have
produced there subsidiary images
towards the side of the page. I
have both used these two
conventions and developed film
reel to display my subsidiary
images at the side of the
magazines. This shows me
developing convention from a real
media product of “empire” and
developing it into an idea of my
own.
My placement towards my barcode
and price tag is also similar to the
one used on the top empire
magazine.
3. Towards the layout of my film poster I
have challenged forms and conventions
of other real media product layouts. This
can be seen in the positioning of the title
as you can see from the two film posters
of Hugo and Black Swan they have
position there film titles towards the
bottom of the page. However i have
challenged this by positioning it at the top
of the page. I believed this is a good
element for my film poster because it
makes the title stand out at the top of a
page like a title should.
Towards the film Hugo we see the clock
have a great deal of impact on the
convention of the image. I have used this
same convention for my image of the
clock. I believed this was a good element
because it gives the image a more
professional look and the clock is a big
element to the film as is the clock in the
film Hugo.
