History

DMS bought the Teleprosoft company in 2003 in order to improve the existing functions
of Prinéo and to develop new modules (estimate creation, web submission, PDF
conversion, etc) to meet provider’ needs.

All kinds of Printhouse were becoming more interested in new technologies and wish to
better manage their printing flows and customers relationship. They are looking for
full solutions that can be rapidly implemented and most of all easy to use and cost
effective.

Therefore, the solution is constantly developed and each version offers new technical
and functional elements.

In 2006, DMS launched « Prinéo Caméléon » . This new version is particularly user
friendly, with access to a portal integrating an online store and multiple printing
services. It’s a cost-effective, all-in-one solution using Web technology concepts.

The conversion to PDF format before sending the order insures an absolute safe result with

Because each company has its own language ; each printing center has its own constraints;
the « Prinéo Caméléon » work order can be easily customized. It’s the mirror image of the
document and only allows what can be done.

Estimate
The order cost is instantly calculated with extreme precision (distinction of color/black and
white, finishing, delivery time ...).

Order forms templates enable automatic order form filling for recurrent jobs.

The administrator can create multiple styles, modify, import , export and then apply them
to the services, or departments existing in the solution.

Large Format » documents orders*
Initially, to process large format documents, the user needed first to convert the document
to PDF or use the « Prinéo Caméléon » virtual printer.
This new feature now allows each user to submit TIF or PLT type large format documents
directly from the portal.
On the « Prinéo Caméléon » « Provider » portal, you can now recognize and display large
format documents in the orders list with a specific pictogram.


User’s simplicity

The Counter Service principle
The print room operator or the user can enter order requests without the electronic
document.
This way requests made by users directly at the print room counter desk from original
documents (paper documents for example) can be processed.

Variable data in PDF format
The solution now enables variable data management directly from documents in PDF
format. This improves the quality of customized documents, particularly in terms of
colorimetric performance.
The templates previously created, are available in PDF format from a specific tab on the
user portal.


Automation of the customer management

Order process
Printing jobs are centralized in a unique interface.
All received documents are in PDF format, ready to be printed.

Follow up
All actions made on the order are traced and logged.
Jobs can therefore be easily reprocessed by any operator.

History / Storage
Any jobs can be reprocessed on request from the history:
order forms and attached document are kept.
The history can be archived at any time.


An heavy sales tool

Print centre capacity using catalogue
« Prinéo Caméléon » includes a reprographic centre product and services catalogue.
This catalogue describes the centre capacity to handle or not an order according to the
user’s requirements.

The Online Store
The« Prinéo Caméléon » portal also offers access to an online store. It allows users to order
products, supplies… directly from the portal.

Online payment
Once this module is activated, users can pay for their orders online from the online payment
banking portal.

The cost estimate can be calculated manually
Depending on specific work order criteria or specific requests from the client, the estimate
can be calculated manually by a print room operator.

Invoice and Delivery form

Imputation Code
User jobs are associated to an imputation code for a better follow up.


High level security

Authentification
The client enters user id and password to log into the « Prinéo Caméléon » portal.

Company directory
« Prinéo Caméléon » is compatible with LDAP directories or Active Directory. The user’s
management is updated in real-time or according to a defined frequency.
SSO / C.A.S. Authentication (optional module) allows the user to connect directly to the
« Prinéo Caméléon » portal without going through a second authentication procedure.

Controller/Controled mode
The order validation before sending can be parameterized or reconfigured: quantity, price,
delivery deadline, are some of the elements that can be modified.

Document conversion to PDF/A*
« Prinéo Caméléon » now offers the ability to convert documents into PDF/A standard to
ensure greater quality.

Management of printing priorities and production capabilities
The department organization is made easier through the management of priorities
and the evaluation of the work load in real time.

Delegation and transfer between printing centers and operators
The complete visualization of orders facilitates work exchange between workshops and
operators.
A helpful tool to comply with the service level agreements.

Stock control
Because stock control is crucial for the running of an online store « Prinéo Caméléon » includes
its own « Stocks control» tool.
To control in real time the product inventory
To quickly anticipate and react to item shortage and renew the stock.


The solution for the production management

Automatic printing and color and black and white pages distinction
Efficiency is the main asset of productivity: job ticket requirements are directly sent
to the printing peripherals. The distinction between color and black and white pages
optimizes printers’ usage.

Colorimetric ICC profile*
This « Graphics Arts » version integrates colorimetric ICC profiles in order to control colours
throughout the entire graphic chain until the printing of the document.

PrismaPrepare integration
« Prinéo Caméléon » offer now an integration with PrismaPrepare.
Document and printing parameters are automatically
available in the PrismaPrepare solution.


The administration as easy as a pie

Interface of multilingual management
« Prinéo Caméléon » integrates a complete translation interface of the software. The addition
of new languages and modifications of wordings are now easy from the portal

Settings
The administrator configures all environment settings (working days, notification level, VAT
rate, increase of the quotation value according to requirements ...).

Rights management
The administrator can easily create or modify any user’s account and assign personalized
profiles.
Each user is granted access to the portal functionalities according to his specific rights.
The multi-site management doesn’t exclude the integration of a user to a default site.

Statistics
With a few clicks you can follow up on the department activity and the job types submitted
by the users.
Statistics export is made easier through various available formats.

Optimum safety
« Prinéo Caméléon » integrates an online backup and recovery solution with a server
mirroring tool and a backup server.
It is compatible with virtualization systems and SAN (Storage Area Network)
