This document defines and provides examples of different parts of speech including nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs. It explains what each part of speech is, such as nouns being people, places or things, and verbs being action words. Examples are given for each part of speech like family for nouns and sleeping for verbs. Sentences using the different parts of speech are also provided along with practice identifying the parts of speech in additional sentences. At the end, a link to a YouTube video about adjectives is included along with citations for the images used.
