Power and conflict in the workplace will also be discussed. A powerful group in the organization will be identified and analyzed for what gives them power. Managers will be asked how to minimize conflict if employees perceive a disparity of power between groups.

When he returned to his parents' small plot of farmland in the central Malawian village of Masitala, his future seemed limited. But this was not another tale of African potential thwarted by poverty.
