What Is Coaching 	A method of directing, instructing and training a person or group of people, with the aim to achieve some goal or develop specific skills.
History of Coaching Management style developed by Sir John Whitmore and associates in the 1980’s.   Sir John Whitmore is a former British race car driver.   Everyone knows racing teams are well-oiled machines. They teach us a very valuable lesson on coaching and teamwork.

It is the role of the coach to ask good questions to help employees discover the path for themselves.   The role of the coach is to allow the employee to set the vision, goals or agenda while providing direction, instruction, motivation, and training.
