• POST (Power-on Self Test) test is done by the PC
to check the functions of the components that
support the PC is working properly.

• POST allows the user to detect,
isolate, determine, find and fix errors
that can damage or irregularities the
occur on the PC.

Isolate problems
The steps in solving computer problems are as follows:
1) Identify the problem
Problems that have been identified with several
procedures, including through POST.
2) Analyzing the problem
Message / warning errors that are indicated through
POST or by other PC components can be a source
component that causes the occurrence of problems.

3) Classify the problems
Grouping the problems, can be done based on the
hardware, or software problem itself.
4) Determine the initial hypothesis of the problem
By Classify the problem,so we can determine the
initial hypothesis of the error part and cause of
problems. This is used as reference to find the right
way in overcoming the problem and prevent re-
occurrence of the same problem.

5) Isolate problems
Problems that have been classified, focused on
the scope of the small. This makes it easier to
find the source of the problem, and is not going
wrong in handling the problem.
6) The improvement actions can be done.

Evaluation
1. Call and describe the steps diagnose PC problems with a
structure in accordance diagnose computer problems!
2. If the image display Is the computer monitor resolution is
too rough, if need to format the hard disk? If not, how
diagnosis of the problem!
Task!
• Take steps diagnose computer problems are structured
and to experiment with the application on the PC.
