L.A. Fashion Week Highlight: Sue Wong SS 2012 Collection
1. L.A. Fashion Week Highlight: Sue Wong SS 2012
Collection
Welcome back fashionistas! We’re glad you’ve decided to join us again to check out
more of what’s trending in fashion today. Local designer, Sue Wong got her Spring/
Summer 2012 designs out of the gate early, kicking off LA Fashion Week with an
avant-garde showing of gorgeous dresses. Some are calling it an exploration of
feminine archetypes and good versus evil. We actually find her newest collection red
carpet ready. Below are a few shots that we got of Wong’s models. So check it out and
comment below.
2. Above, Sue Wong (middle) poses for a picture with two of the models wearing
designs from her new collection. Wearing eccentric showgirl inspired feather and
floral head dressings along with futuristic facial jewels, Sue Wong’s vision is
definitely an extreme elegant vision. Wong herself wore a feather head dress and an
oversized layered black ruffled floor length gown. Her black floral statement necklace
completes her look beautifully.
3. Above, we see a cocktail dress from the Spring/Summer 2012 Sue Wong collection. A
lot of attention to detail went into the making of this dress. Conservatively cut just
above the knee, the bottom of the dress is embroidered with black floral print over a
silhouette white lining. Wong’s cocktail dress flows into an empire waist cumber bun
design and finishes at the bust with a white pleated sweetheart strapless top.
Accessories included an embellished feather head dress, printed fishnet stockings,
patent leather booties, floral chocker and a floral print mini clutch.
4. Next the above white floor length evening gown from Wong’s new collection is
another design worth a closer look. Details include a layered ruffle chiffon skirt, an
elegant embroidered body and sophisticated embroidered double strap top. This
gown has all of the makings of a true Hollywood evening. The look finishes with a
matching white floral handbag accessory.
5. Bringing a little bit of vintage Hollywood glam to the present, the cocktail dress
pictured above has all the detailing of a strapless 20’s era inspired look. We
especially like the pale blush color of the knee length evening gown. The model above
has a timeless almost memorable presence wearing the Sue Wong design.
6. Finally, the floor length abstract floral design falling down the top of the dress to
about knee level complete with a monochrome color pattern is definitely the star of
the Sue Wong 2012 Spring Summer Collection. The jewelry and exotic headpiece put
a flamboyant final touch on this glamorous outfit.
