Sleeves Ideas for
Ladies Party Dresses
There are so many ideas to pick from when it comes to
ladies party dresses with sleeves ideas. Party dresses that
have sleeves have all of a sudden become really fashion-
able for this season and many ladies want to get a grab
on such a dress for the upcoming party that they have
planned on attending.
The problem comes in when you cannot decide which
party dresses sleeves will look good on your figure, which
kind of sleeves will suit your silhouette, which material
will look good on you etc. Read on to know more about
the party dresses with sleeves ideas so that you may get
some help for your party time dressing up.
The top favorite when it comes to
party dresses with sleeves are the
dresses which have long, fitted
Chantilly sleeves. These dresses
not only look extremely classy but
make your arms look really slim
too. So if you do not have a party
dress with sleek and long Chantil-
ly sleeves then now is the correct
season to get your hands on it.
If you want to buy a dress which
is really sleek, skimpy and flowing
at the same time, another really
stylish idea for the sleeves is three
quarter sleeves of the same mate-
rial. You can either get them done
in a fitted style or even in a lose
fitting too. Both ways the dress
will give you and extremely con-
temporary look and you are sure
to look extremely beautiful.
Very loosely fit chiffon sleeves
look gorgeous too.
If your dress in pastel colors, is a
flowing one or is made of chiffon
or a similar material, these sleeves
are the best option for you. These
sleeves give a very feminine look
to your whole attire and the prin-
cess like feeling is an added wow
factor. So, flowing chiffon sleeves
can also do the trick for you.
If you are confused whether to go
sleeveless or with sleeves the best
way to get rid of this confusion is
go with half sleeves. Gone are the
days when half sleeved dressed
looked bad as very recently they
are back in fashion. You can ei-
ther opt for a proper half sleeves
dress or make a move for ex-
tremely short cap sleeves.
33
These are some of the very basic party dresses with sleeves ideas for
all beautiful ladies out there so that not only we make it easy for you
to blindly follow these great ideas but, also make sure that you exper-
iment with some original and new ideas of your own based on these
basic sleeved dresses ideas.
There is hardly any way you can go wrong with the dresses if you have
a clear idea of what your figure is like, what materials suit you and
what kind of a color will be perfect for you. While picking a dress, we
do not really focus on the sleeves but they can actually make or break
the entire look for you and your dress.
So, our recommendation is that you focus on the sleeves as much as
you would on other aspects while choosing the dress. There is no way
you will not steal the show.
Either way, you will get a re-
ally nice and summery look
for the party. Cap sleeves
are more contemporary as
compared to traditional half
sleeves so go for any one of
the two according to your
personal style statement or
the look that you choose to
appear in for the party.
Fantastic
Ways To
Wear
Espadrilles
This
Summer
Try on a cute summer dress in
a fun and classy print and pair a
cute strappy espadrille sandals
with that. An aviator sunglasses
and fedora hat adds up to the
classy female vibe of the outfit.
For very much quite a while,
espadrilles are the quintessen-
tial summer shoes. It’s trade-
mark easygoing quality and
agreeableness is eventually what
makes this footwear completely
fitting for summer. Also, there
are such a large number of
sorts of espadrille shoes to pick
from–loafers, pads, level shoes,
stage shoes, wedged.
So its awfully wrong to think
naturally that espadrilles are
only for dressed-down looks.
This footwear could unques-
tionably rival the fancier shoes,
for example, stilettos and soft-
ened cowhide boots. Further-
more, there are as much outfits
to wear as the sorts of espadrille
shoes accessible, as well.
35
1. Matching Top And Flat Espadrilles:
Have your top match with your level espadrilles
in a splendid and lovely summer shading, for ex-
ample, sky blue. This specific outfit is so agreeable
to wear particularly with the free jeans. The pants’
high contrast print is additionally a slight bit suf-
ficiently dressy to make this common home gar-
ments furnish not so much evident but rather more
wearable outside. The espadrille loafers and sweat-
shirt looks ideal for business and casual outfit.
2. Everyday Espadrilles – Androgynous:
On the off chance that you are all the more in the
state of mind for something less ladylike and most
likely something male/female, you can attack your
beau’s closet for a suit coat and a tore pants. Wear a
white shirt underneath the coat, sleeve the hemline
of the jeans and slip on an impartial hued espadrille
stage. You need to discover the harmony in the
middle of female and manly with your espadrilles.
Espadrille platform ripped jeans and blazer makes
the classy combo.
3. Ideal Business Outfit in Casual Way:
You may be welcome to a business related lunch
in your office. This late spring, you’d need to look
crisp and in the meantime genuine and centered.
My recommendation? Snatch a fresh captured shirt
half-tucked into your clean white jeans and slip on
a couple of espadrilles shoes.
4. Seaside Sublimity:
You can wear the Espadrilles as comfortable beach
footwear and is a more stylish alternative than your
average flip-flops. A simple loose shirt with lace
skirt can be a great cover up.
5. Boho Beauty:
Off shoulder tops are getting truly well known this
season and they look stunningly magnificent when
combined with espadrilles. For the base a large por-
tion of your outfit, choose a slouchy pair of mother
or beau pants to finish the bohemian look. The
espadrilles shoes is completely chic and creates an
impression, as well.
6. Wear with Dressy Skirt:
For a less feminine look , slip on your favorite
t-shirt and pair it with a lace skirt. Wear this outfit
with espadrilles sandals in nude color will make
you like stylish and casual at the same time. Natural
color espadrilles will help to harmonize the dressy
skirt and the all-too-casual shirt. Espadrille sandals
tee shirt and lace skirt looks the best .
7. Night Look:
This is a dressier outfit that is incredible for a night
out with companions or with your lover. A burgun-
dy coat is a decent blend to a dark romper and will
keep you warm against the frosty night. The espa-
drille wedged heels tones down the outfit for it to
be more easygoing. Add to that, the late spring feel
of the shoes. Espadrille sandals with dark shaded
outfits make your night look dazzling . Moreover,
espadrille sandals with sock and high waist shorts
can be a good option.
Habits That Can Make You Gain Weight
Here are the main 10 habits that make you fat
amid your day by day schedule.
1. One of the astounding truth with respect
to low-fat items accessible in the market is
that they spare just a couple of calories how-
ever set back low performing carbs. They are
anything but difficult to process yet supplant
innocuous fats. As per the experts the desire
for sugar related stuff enable fat to accumu-
late.
2. It is commonly observed that people start
following certain diet plans from the internet
without consulting a nutritionist. As a result
without knowing your tendency and body de-
mands you make mistakes that surprise you
every time you step on the scale. Therefore, it
is mandatory to consult nutrition so that you
get the best advice right according to your
weight and height.
3. When you eat with others you eat more
than you usually consume is one of the
common habit that makes you fat. Meet-
ing friends and social life is important for
well-being and mental relaxation but watch
what you are eating. Always chose meal op-
tions that are low-calorie yet small in portion.
Change your eating habits but not hang out
with your loved ones. Other than that, key
tip is to walk for 30mins after a scrumptious
meal.
4. Life is busy these days. People multi task
while eating include watching TV, talking
over phone, working on computers or reading
their favorite novels or books. Avoid doing
this when you are eating rather concentrate
on your meal and eat slowly.
5. Avoid using artificial sweeteners available
in the market. According to the latest stud-
ies, they confuse the regulatory system of the
body that result in considerable weight gain.
By the end you feel hungry and not feeling
full. Instead of these artificial sweeteners use
natural ones like honey or raw sugar.
We regularly check our weight pick up on a scale yet never look onto the habits that cause it.
41
6. Drink at least 8 glasses of
water daily. Your water in-
take should be more than you
actually do. Usually dehydra-
tion makes you dull and lazy
and people think that they
need food to feel better. Keep
a check on balanced water and
food intake to avoid habits that
make you fat.
7. You don’t need to be active
all the time to avoid weight
gain. Getting right amount
of sleep is important for well
being and your weight too. Ac-
cording to studies it has been
revealed that less sleep or over
sleep leads to higher hunger
levels and increases appetite.
8. Skipping meals is not a good
idea. People tend to eat more
when they eat after skipping a
meal. Divide your meal in little
portions every two hours and
you ll seek the difference.
9. Choosing the right bread is
the key to avoid weight gain.
We often prefer whole grain
bread over white bread but it
has been revealed that white
bread is the first fast food and
rated as one of the top habit
that make you fat.
10. Keep tempting junk food
like crisps, Doritos, cookies
in opaque jars. It will increase
the risk of weight gain because
your prying eyes will not see
them. Other than that, keep
them out of your reach pref-
erably in a kitchen cabinet or
drawers.
Is Chocolate
Healthy or Not?
I am letting you know la-
dies, don’t be perplexed
about chocolates, why do
you stay away from them,
similar to torment, believing
that chocolate contains will
make your eating routine
and weight reduction ar-
rangements go haywire, well
it is not genuine and has no
terrible effect on ladies’ well-
being.
Chocolate and wellness:
Chocolate is something okay as it has dependably been connected with adoration and solace
and feels scrumptious in the mouth, regardless of the possibility that you take a gander at it
from wellbeing perspective, so as to keep up ladies’ wellness, chocolates actuates the genera-
tion of endorphins in the body, endorphins being hormones that diminish the sentiments of
torment in the body and makes the body feel delight instead.
Ladies should not be scared of eating chocolates; whatever yearnings chocolate actuates in a
lady is all in her brain and has nothing to do with ladies’ wellbeing issue. Actually, chocolate
can be advantageous and sound for ladies’ wellness, if eaten in the right way.
Treat Yourself with Chocolate:
Keep in mind that chocolate ought to be eaten as a treat as opposed to a nibble. In the event
that one is feeling hungry, she ought to eat a fitting dinner which is not stacked in calories.
Eating chocolate when one is hungry just prompts gorging. In addition, exploration has
demonstrated that devouring chocolate when one is not eager decreases the desire for it and
has no effect on ladies’ wellness.
Chocolate as an anxiety help:
For, ladies’ wellness purpose, chocolate ought to be taken gradually and ought to be eaten
with enjoyment as it lessens the level of anxiety likewise and works amazingly well for la-
dies’ wellbeing. A third thing to recall about eating chocolate is that toning it down would be
ideal. Eat straightforward plain chocolate instead of having a treat weighed down with choc-
olate chips, just in light of the fact that there is more chocolate in a little bar than in a treat.
43
Ultimately, chocolates ought to be
kept in a place that is not effort-
lessly open so one would not offer
into a sudden orgy if the longings
hit her.
Conclusion:
Trust me! Chocolates are not to be
dreaded. They are solace nourish-
ments and ought to be considered
as a treat and a prize for a sound
life and go about as anxiety reliev-
er’ for ladies’ wellbeing.
Yoga Poses for Weight Loss
Our hectic lifestyle and workloads do not let us live in a healthy way. The craving for junk
food and stress filled environment gives us an unhealthy body. The area around the waist and
thighs is usually flabby. The risk of diseases and ill health increases with the fat around these
areas. A fitness routine and a good diet will help to reduce these risks. Since some people pre-
fer not to sweat too much while exercising, yoga is the best option. By adopting the methods
of yoga one can reduce weight, control the body and soul. Along with these benefits, one can
also experience mental peace. Losing weight and staying in shape will also build self esteem
and reduce the stress levels.
Best Yoga Poses for
Weight loss:
You might have tried many
different things to get into
shape like massage gels,
creams and pills. These may
seem effective at first but, will
have a long term effect on the
body. Only exercises will build
up the body strength and tone
down the muscles. So here
are a few beginner yoga poses
which will help you get toned
legs and a flat tummy.
45
Yoga Warrior Pose:
For this yoga pose you need to stand
straight with your legs far apart. Now
bring your hands up above your head and
stretch them. Clasp both hands together
in a Namaste and turn your torso to the
right side. You right knee should bend
slightly while trying to stretch your ab-
dominal muscles as much as you can. Af-
ter turning it to the right, follow the same
procedure to the left. This posture will
tighten your muscles and also tone your
legs giving you very good body strength.
Yoga Warrior Pose II:
This yoga pose is just the same as the
above. It has the same effect on the tum-
my and legs. Yet it is done in a different
way. The hands do not make a Namaste,
they are stretch out to both the sides,
While bending the leg. By doing this the
abdominal muscles are stretched. So try
this pose which will be very effective for
fat elimination.
Yoga Chair Pose:
This asana is a chair pose in the air and
it requires a lot of stamina. You may feel
pain in your legs in the first couple of
days, when you practice it. However do-
ing this regularly will help you gain flex-
ibility and the pain will vanish. You need
to have your feet together. Inhale while
you raise your hands above your head.
Stretch them up and bend your knees a
little, inhale while bending your knees.
Now you need to remain in this position
for at least 60 seconds. It maybe a little
difficult in the beginning to remain in
this position, so try to hold it as much as
you can and stand up when you feel too
much pressure. You can begin by doing
this 10 times every day and increase the
number every 3 days. It will tone down
your thighs and melt the fats from your
tummy.
Boat Pose:
Sit down on a mat, and
stretch out your legs.
Your knees should be
pulled up, thighs should
be tight and your toes
should be pointed out.
Now try to raise your
feet of the ground and
bring your legs to a 45
degree angle. Inhale while feet and avoid bending your knees. The spine should be straight
and your body should make a V shape. Raise your arms to the shoulder level. This pose will
increase your stamina and also cut down tummy fat. It will increase your lower and upper
body strength.
Yoga Bridge Pose:
Lie down on your back, bend your knees. Your feet should remain on the ground. Put your
hands on the ground, the palms should be straight. Now lift your hips from the ground and
balance yourself on your hands and feet. This pose will increase your muscle strength. If you
like to add a variation to this pose. Try to lift up one leg in the air for 20 seconds. You should
repeat the same with the other leg.
Yoga Cobbler’s pose:
The cobbler’s pose is one of the easiest and helpful poses of
yoga. You need to sit down with your spine straight. Your
knees should be bent and the soles of your feet should be fac-
ing each other. You should press the soles together and hold
this pose for at least a minute.
Yoga Locust Pose:
You need to lie face down
with your palms facing the
ground. While inhaling you
should lift up your legs with-
out bending your knees. Your
upper torso and hands should
also be lifted up giving you
a stretch of the abdominal
muscles. You need to balance
yourself on the tummy. This
posture will reduce the fats
near the hips and stretch your
leg muscles.
Yoga Camel Pose:
Sit on your feet with
your knees and calves
close together. You
need to use some soft
cloth under you to
prevent pain. Now
come onto your
knees and place your
hands on your hips.
Stretching out the
torso, look above.
Hold your heels
slowly, one hand
after the other. Bend
backward and stretch
out the chest and
tummy. You can feel
the weight in your
arms. This position is
useful to melt the fat
in almost all the areas
of the body.
When you’re less than satisfied with the way your lipstick color looks a few hours after ap-
plication, it’s time to improve your entire application routine, from preparation to finishing
touches. Choose your lip color carefully and find out how to make lipstick last longer. Touch-
ups don’t always look great when it comes to your lips, so you should prepare your lips in the
morning for the entire day.
Try to get everything right in front of your own mirror and you’ll get a vibrant color that real-
ly lasts longer.
Be Reasonable:
Unfortunately, there isn’t a magic trick to
make any shade and kind of lipstick stay on
your lips for 12 hours or more. If you really
want to know how to make lipstick last longer,
be prepared to let go of shimmering colors,
which last the least. Creamy lipsticks stay put
for longer, but matte lipstick is the one that
will keep the pigment the longest on your lips.
Choose a long-wearing lipstick with silicone,
which keeps the pigment intact and sepa-
rate from the natural oils on your skin which
make color fade faster. You should also be
prepared to use a straw when you drink liq-
uids and minimize contact between food and
your lips if you want it to last throughout the
day.
Exfoliate Regularly:
Your lips need exfoliation as much as the rest
of the skin on your face, and getting rid of the
dead skin cells will also help keep the color on
your lips for longer. Scrub your lips with sugar
and honey once or twice a keep and you’ll
never have to deal with skin flakes on your
lips. Lipstick color stays for longer when your
lips aren’t dry.
49
Use Lip Balm:
Moisturizing with lip balm every night
is a must for healthy lips, but you also
need to put on a thin coat to secure your
lipstick color. Put your lip balm on right
after washing your face, then leave the lips
for the end of your makeup routine. Gen-
tly wipe any excess lip balm before apply-
ing color and stay away from ingredients
which can be drying, including camphor
and menthol, to make lipstick last longer.
Give Lip Primer a Try:
Using a primer will make any type of
makeup last longer, so you should defi-
nitely see if a good primer works for you.
If you keep your lips moisturized cor-
rectly, primer shouldn’t dry them out too
much, but if you find it uncomfortable,
you can stick to the other tricks that show
you how to make lipstick last longer.
Apply Lip Liner Correctly:
Most of the time, using lip liner helps the
color stay longer for lips, but that means
that you won’t just use it at the edges of
your lips. Instead, start from the center
of your your lips and keep filling in with
lip liner towards the edges. Besides act-
ing like a lighter primer for lipstick, liner
will also be there when the lipstick color
fades away, keeping your smile beautiful,
and it also directly helps make lipstick last
longer.
Choose the Right Lip Color:
When you’re in doubt what shade of
lipstick to choose, always go darker if
you want it to stay intact on your lips for
longer. Darker shades of red, coral, pink,
coral and even brown always look better
after many hours thank lighter shades.
You don’t have to worry about that with
nude shades, since they look much less
noticeable when they start fading.
Use Translucent Powder:
One of the best tricks used by makeup artists is
a layer of translucent powder between two layers
of color. If you’re wondering how to make lip-
stick last longer with powder, first blot your first
layer of lipstick with a tissue. Use an eyeshadow
blending blush and gently swirl it while pressing
it against your lips, then apply the second layer of
color.
Avoid Gloss:
You can’t have a glossy look on your lips that
really lasts. Trying to layer it on over lipstick will
make the color fade faster, so if you absolutely
want a glossy finish, go with less. A touch of gloss
on the lower lip, right in the center, can add a
bit of shine while keeping colors stay vibrant for
longer.
Finish with Concealer:
Once you’ve done everything you can to make
lipstick last longer, make sure your look is flawless
with a touch of concealer. Use a clean lip brush
and add a bit of concealer to create clean edges on
your lips.

the impurities.
Try to cut down all the chemicals that you use
for your hair, move towards the natural prod-
ucts. Use natural conditioners like, honey, yo-
gurt, egg; henna along with some oiling that
will improve the blood circulation in your
hair scalp. Adjust your diet as your hair needs
a lot of energy to grow healthy and strong.

lashes thicker and longer. A good eye lasher
curler is also very important while you are

plying mascara, use it before mascara so that
you don’t damage your eye lashes and this will
give your lashes more fine look.

ant for your cuticles, as the more moisturized your cuticles

or tissue. Apply a good amount to concealor, as it holds your
makeup in place.
Sunscreens:
Our skin is always exposed to sun and its dangerous radiations.

blocks. One key point to remember, no matter how effective
your sunscreen is, it doesn’t last for more than 2-3 hours so
don’t forget to reapply it.

drying your hair after washing gives a very good volume to your
hair. Avoid running finger through your hair as it generates oil
in your hair making them greasy.

hydrated. Dry skin make your upper layer of skin peel off there-
fore always use a good moisturizer and drink 8-10 glasses of
water every day.
Foundation Application:
The correct application of foundation is the key to a perfect
makeup; always apply a good moisturizer before applying foun-
dation on your face. Use a makeup brush for blending the foun-
dation; never use your finger tips as it flakes away your skin.

nail polish remover. Well here is a simple and easy technique to

MEN’S
HAIRSTYLE
TRENDS
FOR 2015Men’s hair trends don’t tend to make a sweeping change season to season like clothing trends
do, it’s a slower transition and it’s not always easy to differentiate between the turnover. Here
we give the low-down on the forthcoming season’s hair trends and how to achieve them, so
you’ll spend less time in front of the mirror.
TEXTURE:
A key look this season is experimented texture to create a rebel-
lious streak for a masculine yet sophisticated look. Think pol-
ished yet understated. A key tip is you need freshly washed hair.
A recommended product is ‘Sassoon Precision Clean’ which
is ideal for well-balanced, moisturised and well-conditioned
hair. In turn, your hair will feel refreshed and manageable. Your
grooming time will be cut with fewer products. To create a tex-
tured style let’s start with ‘Sassoon Texture Refine’. Clay that will
hold the hair and control it with a matte finish, without making
the hair look dry or dehydrated. The key is to style with your
fingers, no need to brush or blow dry, this will create volume
where you don’t want it, the idea is to create a relaxed look.
55
CITY SLICKER:
If a relaxed hairstyle isn’t what you’re after,
why not try a more suave look with a well-
groomed hair style. Again, ensure you’ve had
a good hair cut. The sides and backs need to
be shorter, perhaps a grade 4 into a grade 2 to
blend or with scissors for a softer finish. Rec-
ommended products are ‘Texture Refine’ or
‘American Crew Fiber’ which will give a gen-
tleman a classic style. You could you a comb
for a stronger look, however it’s probably eas-
ier to style with your fingers. This style looks
great with a modern suit and smart attire.
LONG HAIR:
And no, I’m not talking biker
style. Good healthy shoul-
der-length hair is really mak-
ing a comeback within men’s
fashion. A lot of stylists and
grooming experts are encour-
aging men to grow their hair.
Generally, men with long hair
tend to keep it in better con-
dition than women as wom-
en fiddle with it too much,
just be sure to go for regular
trims, keep it clean and use a
good conditioner such as ‘Sas-
soon Advanced Condition.’
You could add a matte hair
product to the ends to help
keep control in the wind.
TOP KNOT:
Following on from those that
have long hair; it brings the
option to wear your hair tied
back. Brush you hair back with
your fingers into a ponytail or
top knot. If the hair is brushed
and in good condition the style
could suit almost anyone. This
style can work really well with
a rugged man sporting a beard
since it offers an interesting and
sophisticated contrast.
No Time for
Workout Other
Ways to Lose
Weight
EAT SMALLER PORTIONS:
“You don’t need to cook your own food or even eat different food to lose weight,” says Katula.
“You just need to eat less, and eating less doesn’t take more time or cost more money.” Most
people need to consume between 1,200 and 1,500 calories a day if they want to drop pounds
in a healthy and sustainable way and for a lot of people, eating appropriate portion sizes,
skipping dessert, or not going back for seconds is one of the easiest ways to reduce their total
calorie intake.
DON’T SKIP MEALS:
This may seem counterintuitive after advice to eat less overall, but busy people especially may
need to space out their calories more throughout the day, says Jessica Bartfield, MD, clinical
assistant professor at Loyola University’s Center for Metabolic Surgery and Bariatric Care.
That’s because going more than four or five hours without refueling can slow metabolism,
affect hormones and insulin levels, and contribute to unhealthy food choices when you do
finally sit down to eat. “A lot of our overweight patients aren’t necessarily overeating, but their
eating patterns have become so erratic they have a cup of coffee in the morning and then
no real food until late afternoon,” she says. “They key is to avoid that and keep a consistent
schedule, whether that’s three meals a day and a couple of snacks, or five mini meals.”
57
SQUEEZE IN MORE MOVEMENT:
Setting aside time for a 30- or 60-minute workout is
ideal, “but you can burn a lot of calories in not-so-ide-
al workout situations, too,” says Katula. In fact, there’s
nothing wrong with breaking up your 150 recom-
mended minutes of weekly moderate exercise into
short bursts throughout your day. “If you can fit in 10
minutes in the morning, 10 minutes at lunch, and 10
minutes at night, and you can do that five days a week,
you’re there,” he says. Katula tells his patients to think
of burning calories they way they think of saving
money. “We do so many little things clip coupons, buy
store brands to save a dime here or a quarter there,
because we know it adds up.
PRACTICE SIMPLE FOOD SWAPS:
Just like Katula tells his patients to think of exercise
like they do clipping coupons, he tells them to think of
their food choices the same way. “Whether it’s leaving
the cheese off a hamburger or switching from mayo
to honey mustard, there are so many little things you
can do and so many little swaps you can make over the
course of a day that can add up and save you calories
without costing you any extra time.” Think about your
daily beverages too, not just your solid foods. Switch-
ing from soda to seltzer water with lemon (or even to
diet soda), or using less sugar in your coffee, for exam-
ple, can save you several pounds a year.
MAKE SURE YOU’RE SLEEPING ENOUGH:
When it feels like there aren’t enough hours in the day,
it may be tempting to stay up late or wake up super
early just to get everything done especially if you’re
trying to squeeze in regular exercise in addition to
everything else you have to do. That strategy can back-
fire if you’re not getting enough quality shuteye for
your body to function properly, says Katula. “If you’re
trying to change your behavior and lose weight by
eating less and moving more, you will be more likely
to achieve that if you are getting the proper amount
of sleep,” he says. Sell yourself short and you may lack
the energy needed to complete your workouts; even
worse, you’ll crave sugary and fatty foods that will
help you stay awake, but will wreak havoc on your
waistline.
USE YOUR WEEKENDS WISE-
LY:
Even if your job requires long and
grueling hours, hopefully you have at
least a couple of days off every week
to regroup and plan ahead. “Even
though we’re pressed for time, most
of us have pretty predictable sched-
ules,” says Dr. Bartfield. “So it can
help to spend some time on Saturday
and Sunday shopping for healthy
food, preparing some lunch and din-
ner items for the week, and deciding
which days you’re going to eat what.”
You can also use your day or days off
to get in longer workouts than you’d
have time for during the week, says
Katula. “If you can get in 120 min-
utes of exercise over the weekend,
you really only need to dedicate small
amounts of time throughout the week
to reach your 150-minute goal.”
BE ACTIVE WITH FRIENDS
AND FAMILY:
You may argue that weekends are
for family time, or that you’d rather
spend your precious free time with
friends. Why not turn that social time
into fitness time? “You don’t need to
go to the gym for it to count as exer-
cise,” says Katula. “You can play with
your kids for a few hours and still get
your heart rate up and see beneficial
results.” Join a pick-up sports league
or a running group with friends, or
swap your typical happy-hour date
for a Spin class together. Or, start a
weekly walking or hiking tradition
with your family. Either way, being
active with others can help you stick
with it. “Social support is a key ingre-
dient to any sort of behavior change,”
says Katula.
HEALTHY-MEAL SHORTCUTS:
We’re often told to steer clear of packaged foods for better health, but some frozen and pre-
made goods can truly help you whip up a healthy meal in minutes, says Bartfield. “There are
tons of good options in the freezer aisle, either for individuals or even family-size meals, that
can be prepared quickly,” she says. “Or you could buy a rotisserie chicken take the skin off and
slice it on top of a salad, or buy frozen vegetables to serve with it.” (Keep in mind that rotis-
serie chickens can be high in sodium, so cut back your intake from other sources.) On nights
when even that’s not an option, you still have choices about where you eat out or what pre-
pared foods you bring home; the key is knowing ahead of time which restaurant you’ll choose
and which items are healthiest, so you’re not stuck making a last-minute (bad) decision.
2015 BMW X1 RevealedThe second-generation BMW X1 has been
revealed nearly four months before the all-
new SUV is due to make its public debut at
the Frankfurt motor show.
Set to go on sale in the UK this autumn,
the Audi Q3 rival has been comprehensive-
ly re-engineered and gets BMW’s versatile
UKL platform, as used on the 2 Series Ac-
tive Tourer and Gran Tourer.
The longitudinal engine layout of the
first-generation X1 is replaced by a
space-saving transverse layout, which helps
to provide more interior space and im-
proved safety credentials. Lower-end mod-
els also have front-wheel drive instead of
the rear-wheel drive of the outgoing X1. The
new X1 takes on a more rugged appearance
than that of the model it replaces.
It has a bolder front end, angular headlights
with LED daytime running lights, round
foglights, a contoured bonnet, prominent front
wheel arches, extra cladding on its sills and in-
creased ground clearance. The adoption of the
UKL platform has allowed BMW’s design team
to endow the X1 with an altered silhouette fea-
turing a significantly shorter bonnet and longer
roofline than the old X1.
Retaining the five-door layout of old X1, it also
receives larger rear door apertures for added
ease of entry. The revised X1 is 36mm shorter
but 21mm wider and 53mm taller than its pre-
decessor, at 4439mm long, 1821mm wide and
1598mm tall. A 90mm-longer wheelbase allows
37mm more knee room in the back, which in-
creases by an additional 66mm with an option-
al tilting and sliding rear seat. Boot space has
also increased by 85 litres to 505 litres, rising to
1550 litres with the rear seats folded.
61
The back seats can be folded electri-
cally from the rear of the boot at the
touch of a button for the first time.
As an option, the front passenger seat
backrest can also be folded down.
While continuing to offer accommo-
dation for up to five, The new BMW
SUV has a slightly revised seating lay-
out to take advantage of the packaging
improvements brought by the switch
to a transverse engine layout. The
front seats are now 36mm higher than
on the first-generation model, while
the rear seats are set 64mm higher. In
entry-level sDrive18d guise, the X1 is
135kg lighter than its predecessor, at
1430kg. This is because of the use of
more hot-formed high-strength steel
and aluminium within the main body
structure, the use of tailored blank
steel for the front bulkhead.
Underpinning the new BMW is a
MacPherson strut front and multi-link
rear suspension shared with the 2 Series
Gran Tourer. It is allied to an electro-me-
chanical speed-sensitive Servotronic
steering system that is engineered to
provide lighter weighting at lower speeds
for added manoeuvrability around town
and a firmer feel at higher speeds for
increased stability on the motorway. The
new compact off-roader rolls on 17in
alloy wheels as standard, with 18in and
19in rims available as an option. In a first
for the X1, the new model comes with
adjustable dampers in combination with
an optional Driver Experience Control
function that enables the driver to choose
between Sport and Comfort suspension
settings, along with Sport, Comfort and
Eco Pro driving modes.
Sacred Places in the world to Reach
The world is becoming a smaller and
smaller place thanks to newer tech-
nology and advancement in science.
In older times it was hard even to get
to the nearest towns but now things
have completely changed. One can
choose any location to spend their
time in.
While most people still prefer Paris
and Singapore as their favorite holi-
day destination, there are many who
consider those locations yawn induc-
ing simply because they need much
more thrill than a tower or an art
festival could provide.
For our readers who like to be chal-
lenged and choose the road less
travelled we bring you today top five
destinations most hard to reach.
construction gradually deteriorated
by nature.
3. ALERT, CANADA:
A small village situated 500 miles
below the North Pole on the Arctic
Ocean in Nunavut territory Canada
Alert is another remote adventurous
location on the list. It is located at the
top of the world due to which there
are 24 hours of daylight in summers
and 24-hour darkness during the
winter. The temperature can easily
reach 40 degrees below zero. The
airport in Alert is often rendered
unusable by the harsh weather. 1,300
miles away there is a small fishing
village.
4. PITCAIRN ISLAND:
Located in the neighborhood of
Gambier Islands and Tahiti Pitcairn
Islands are in the center of the south-
ern Pacific Ocean. The town has a
1. TRISTAN Da CUNHA:
Tristan da Cunha is located in the southern Atlantic
Ocean. It is the most remote inhabitable place in the
entire world. Located 1,700 miles away from the island
is South Africa. South American coast is 2000 miles
away. Populated merely by 271 people the island boasts
of a rich history. A Portuguese explorer discovered the
island in 1506. A small number of people from British,
Italian, and American chose to settle down in Tristan
de Cunha in the 1800s. Only way to travel to the island
is by boat due to it’s remote location.
2. MOTUO, CHINA:
Isolated from the modern world Motuo County is lo-
cated in Tibetan Autonomous Region. Sounds roman-
tic doesn’t it? A county unspoiled by the modern sci-
ence. Heres a catch. Reaching Motuo is a task in itself.
No roads lead to the county. Travelers have to take the
overland route through frozen parts of the Himalayas
and use a suspension bridge that is 200-meter-long to
enter the county. Mudslides, volatile landscape and av-
alanches have rendered the efforts to construct a road,
futile. The highway that was built in the 90s that led to
the county was unusable within few days of
65
population of 50 people.
In 1789, crewmembers of
the HMS bounty were so
mesmerized by the scenic
beauty of the island that
they overthrew their com-
mander and settled on the
island. Most inhabitants to-
day are direct descendants
of those crewmembers.
There are no air strips. If
one has to get to Pitcairn
one has to travel by boats
from New Zealand. This
journey can take up to ten
days.
5. KERGUELEN IS-
LANDS:
Kerguelen Islands are locat-
ed in the southern Indian
Ocean. The islands have
also been given the name
of “Desolation Islands” due
to it’s remoteness from any
civilization. The island has
no air strip. To reach the
beautiful islands the travel-
ers must take a six day boat
ride a small island located
off the coast of Madagascar
called Reunion. Due to it’s
location the island does not
have any native population.
It’s inhabitants are scientists
and engineers from France.
Apart from research facility
the island also serves as a
shelter to an endangered
breed of French cattle.
Ever since it’s discovery in
1772 the islands have been
a fascination for different
biologists and explorers.
Captain James Cook visited
the islands in 1776.
Mawra Hocane
Underestimated
Pakistani Drama Industry
Mawra Hocane is all the rage these days. For
the most part she has performed compliant
characters on tv and built up a fan following.
Now that she has an offer for three bolly-
wood movies, she feels that her followers
should connect with her in her new roles.
For her the horizon is huge and she hopes
to reach new highs and there by reach out to
her followers through excellence in perfor-
mance on the screen. As indicated by reports
Mawra has marked 3 Bollywood movies.
Mawra Hocane talked about her new look
and working in Bollywood. Here is what she
said:
Your new look stunned and astonished
numerous… would you truly like to
dispose of your bubbly picture in Paki-
stani shows?
Mawra Hocane (MH): First of all, give me
a chance to elucidate several things. Since I
have entered Bollywood, I need to investigate
new skylines as an on-screen character. Our
kin dependably require some investment to
conform at whatever point something new
is done and that is precisely what happened
with my shoot.
I’m totally fine with the overall population
response, on the other hand, I’m extremely
grateful to my fans for such a tremendous
positive reaction.I don’t feel I’ve done any-
thing diverse to what’s going on in all the
Pakistani movies as well.
It’s simply that the stage is relatively tremen-
dous so the reaction is huge as well. I don’t feel
I’ve done anything diverse to what’s going on
in all the Pakistani movies as well. It’s simply
that the stage is relatively tremendous so the
reaction is huge as well. With respect to the
bubbly picture, I don’t mean to dispose it off
for a couple of years.
The genuine bubbliness is never going with-
out end; in any event not till I’m in my mid
20, I’m living my dream and that’s one of the
reasons I don’t dwell into the technicalities of
how different they both are. I’m glad I’m get-
ting to learn the basics of film acting from the
very best people. I am also ecstatic that I’m
being loved and pampered here in India and
am super motivated to deliver my best.
Ranbir Kapoor’s video message was a
huge thing for a newbie like you… have
you got to meet him yet?
MH: I’ve got more things to be joyous about
than just that video alone. Mawra is so happy
to become a part of such a huge platform at
a tender age. “I’m the youngest to hit Indian
cinema from Pakistan because in the past peo-
ple first got to establish themselves in Karachi
or Lahore and then got a break in Bollywood.
Nonetheless I’m extremely happy;
I don’t want the updates on this
matter to overshadow my work.

Aiza Khan
My inspirations are Fahad Mustafa, Mohib Mirza and Sami Khan.
1. How did you enter the
TV industry?
I started my career in showbiz

to become an actress. I started
working in dramas by chance.
A number of people urged

chance and it proved to be a
good experience.

that I consider is cast of
the play.
7. What role do you feel is the most

not like after you joined the entertain-
ment industry?
One thing I don’t like about the industry is
that girls smoke a lot. I don’t understand why.
18. What is your message to fans?
Thanks for appreciating my acting skills and
my work.
Preity ZintaI Never Wanted To Be An Actress
How is it to judge a
reality show?
It’s not easy to critique
someone but I don’t
think I have a problem
with being honest. But
as long as you can cri-
tique and encourage
them, then the criticism
becomes constructive.
If you just criticise and
be mean, it becomes
destructive. And I
always treat people
the way I like to be
treated by them.
What would you be if
you were not an ac-
tress?
I don’t know, but I never
wanted to be an actress.
Till date my mother
tells me when I was a
little kid I told her I
wanted to be the Prime
Minister, a cop or even
a judge. I even said I
wanted to join the army
or be a truck driver,
but I never said that I
wanted to be an actress.
I went from criminal
psychology to being an
actress and then into
cricket.
75
You are a bold and outspoken person. Has it ever posed a problem for you?
I don’t have time to think about what others think. I stopped thinking about what others
think a long time ago. Because when you start thinking about that, you start feeling bad, you
start looking bad and you can’t sleep. It’s not just one other person; there is just one ‘you’ and
billions of others. I just think about the people who love me, whom I love and what they think
about me. I don’t waste my time on yeh kya soch raha hai, woh kya soch raha hai (what does
this or that person think).
What kind of wife
you would be?
I will be the most
amazing wife.
What is status of
your upcoming
movie Bhaiyyaji
Superhitt?
We are going to
complete the film
when Sunny Deol
finishes his film
(Ghayal Once
Again). We are going
to start working on
it very soon.
What depresses
you?
Whenever some-
thing in life is not
on the right track,
depression automat-
ically sets in. But
I can’t be sad for a
long time. I am a
happy person.
What do you do
when you are
upset?
I shut myself in my
room, scream loud-
ly and cry it all out.
And in some time,
I’m fine again.
Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhada-
kne Do is a film that has
its heart in the right place
but its beats are terribly
irregular. It is an overly
caramelised and flaky dys-
functional family drama
that strives – and fails – to
strike a balance between
the sly and the syrupy.
What the film posits as
sly and self-serving sim-
ply aren’t piercing enough
to get to the heart of the
disconcerting truths it is
seeking to expose, and its
generous dollops of syrup
translate into a treacly-
sweet overdose.
As a result, the nearly three-hour sea voyage, despite
the game efforts of its multi-star cast to liven things
up with varying degrees of spirited hamming, seems
like an eternity. Dil Dhadakne Do is a mix of updated
Jane Austen, Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd (minus the
gay man sub-plot) and Bollywood excess on a super
ship that brings out the worst in its passengers. Zoya
Akhtar’s previous outing, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara,
was a lively road movie in which three friends under-
took a trip of self-discovery.
The film gave us the sights and sounds of Spain like
no other Hindi film has ever done. Dil Dhadakne Do
goes off terra firma and boards a cruise ship with a
bunch of blabbering blokes whose lives are caught in
a whirlpool of lies, rivalries and unrequited desires.
Most of the drama unfolds indoors, so all one gets
at regular intervals are establishing shots of the ship
framed against the deep blue sea – pretty but point-
less.
77
The ship drops anchor briefly in Istanbul, and one character tells another that
there is magic in the air in this ancient Turkish city. True, but Dil Dhadakne Do
does no justice to that magic, or anything else along the way. The film deals with
two loveless marriages, a few unlikely liaisons, one exemplary case of sibling
bonding and a host of matronly matchmakers in a manner so facile that the ex-
ercise resembles exactly what the film is about – a ten-day ride on a luxury cruise
liner.
It is a leaking ship that never gathers any momentum at all and eventually sinks
under the weight of a vapid, if not outright vacuous, screenplay (Akhtar and Re-
ema Kagti, with dialogue by Farhan Akhtar). The dreary Dil Dhadakne Do isn’t
likely to do for luxury cruise liners what Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara did for Spain.
It is a film that is beautiful to look at, but it says pretty much nothing that is star-
tlingly original. It tells us that it is best to let our hearts lead the way no matter
how complicated matters may become as a result of our words and deeds.
So there you are, Dil Dhadakne Do revels in stating the obvious about Homo
sapiens in general and Punjabis in particular, and does so through the perspective
of a canine narrator that is voiced by Aamir Khan and who speaks lines written
by Javed Akhtar. The robust and unreal Juhu ‘Funjabis‘ that we encounter in song-
and-dance extravaganzas from the YRF and Dharma stables, if nothing else, make
an entertaining spectacle of themselves.
In Dil Dhadakne Do, the
squabbling Mehras, Soods
and Khannas are a surpris-
ingly tepid lot who do a lot
of talking without getting
to the point. Their antics
make for a dreadfully bor-
ing, overlong film that like
the ship that it is set on me-
anders from port to port
without exploring the nooks
and crannies that really mat-
ter. Dil Dhadakne Do is the
story of Kamal Mehra (Anil
Kapoor), a self-made man
who presides over a success-
ful company, Ayka, named
after his two children,
Ayesha (Priyanka Chopra)
and Kabir (Ranveer Singh).
The philandering patriarch and his indepen-
dent-spirited daughter are both unhappily mar-
ried – the former to a bored homemaker Neelam
(Shefali Shah) and the latter to a Mumbai business-
man Manav Sanga (Rahul Bose). All of them have
huge chips on their shoulders. Ayesha, founder of a
thriving travel portal, has no love lost for her nar-
row-minded hubby.
She also has good reason to feel majorly short-
changed by her parents who not only shower all
their attention on their male heir but are also guilty
of forcing her to marry against her wish. Kabir, on
his part, has no flair for the corporate world and
flying is his “one true love”.
His world comes crashing down when his dad
decides to sell the family plane because it is a dead
investment for his debt-ridden business. Amid the
impending crisis, to celebrate their 30th wedding
anniversary,
Neelam and Kamal Mehra invite friends and family over for a cruise in the course
of which long-suppressed tensions and frustrations tumble forth and ignite un-
seemly friction. Kamal is too full of himself to notice that neither his wife nor his
son and daughter think much of him. The same is true of Manav, Ayesha’s hus-
band who believes his wife would always be at his beck and call despite the fact
that she is an entrepreneur in her own right. On the ship, Ayesha comes face to
face with her first love, Sunny Gill (Farhan Akhtar), the son of her dad’s trust-
ed manager, while her drifter-brother falls head over heels for dancer Farah Ali
(Anushka Sharma). More complications, more sweet nothings. Hindi cinema his-
tory has seen one big film about “loving your parents”. Dil Dhadakne Do is about
“hating your parents” and in the process compelling them to change their ways.

3 Bahadur, the first animated movie of Pakistan
is a valuable entrant to the movie industry. This
movie is targeted at children and exploring their
unique capabilities. The film has comedic punch
lines which enticed hilarious moments in the
movie.

Story:
3 Bahadur revolves around the three
main characters, the 11-year-old
friends Saadi, Amina, and Kamil
and is set in a fictional town Roshan
Basti (Town of lights). The movie
focuses on the pre-teens gaining
superpowers and their struggle to
rid their town of the evil both su-
pernatural and ordinary organized
crimes that plague it. ’Mangu’ a
petty criminal turned evil supernat-
ural lord is the big baddie who rules
over the fictional town through his
terror and thugs.
In the middle of the plot lie two
talisman keys and their two keep-
ers, one good and one evil granting
respective superpowers to the char-
acters. Overall it is a commend-
able effort and for the kids, a must
watch.
World’s Most
Expensive
Luxury Yachts
Lady Moura – $210 million:
Featuring the 10th most expensive yacht in the world is the Lady Mou-
ra, custom built by Blohm + Voss shipyards in 1990 for Saudi Arabian
businessman Nasser Al-Rashid. This luxury liner is mostly recognisable
from the outside owing to its name on the yacht exterior in prominent
24-carat gold lettering. The extravagance doesn’t end there. On board
the 344-foot Lady Moura is a pool with retractable roof, a helicopter
and a 75-foot Viscount Linley dining room table.
However, the Lady Moura’s most remarkable feature is, without a doubt,
the unique sand-covered hydraulic platform that slides out of one side
of the yacht which can be adjusted to sit right at the waterline. Not only
does this floating oasis boast real sand and deck chairs, but also palm
trees for a truly authentic experience. The Lady Moura also features a
Mangusta 80 boat or 48-feet Sant Juan boat, as well as a S76B helicop-
ter. Finally, the yacht is capable of accommodating up to 30 guests and
carrying 60 crew members.

yachts taking place
between 1997 and

Al Mirqab – $250 million:
The Al Mirqab was built by Peters Schiffbau Wewelsfleth of Germany for Qatar’s Prime
Minister and Foreign Minister Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani. It comprises one of
the world’s largest and was dubbed the second most beautiful yacht in the world after it was
completed in 2008. On board this luxury liner are ten suites, which can accommodate up to
24 guests, each with an accompanying bathroom, living room and double bedroom. The for-
tunate owner has two VIP rooms for himself and there are 55 rooms for the members of crew.
Highlights of the Al Mirqab superyacht include the on-board cinema, sun deck, pool and he-
lipad, as well as outside bars, swimming pool, jacuzzi and a range of watersports equipment.
Dilbar – $256 million:
The Dilbar Superyacht, built in 2008 by Lürssen Yachts, belongs to Russian oligarch Alisher
Usmanov. It was named after his mother and boasts one of the world’s largest boats measur-
ing 360.89 feet long in total. It is frequently used by its billionaire owner to visit his private
islands. The Dilbar boasts some swimming pools and a helipad, amongst many other luxury
features, with enough space on deck to accommodate 20 guests and a crew of 48.
Al Said – $300 million:
Lürssen Yachts is behind this luxury private yacht
belonging to, and named after, Qaboos Bin Said Al
Said, the Sultan of Orman. Little is known about the
Al Said apart from the fact that it houses a concert
hall big enough to accommodate a 50-piece orches-
tra. At the time of its construction in 2007 and 2008,
it comprised the world’s second largest yacht and can
host up to 70 guests with a crew of 154.
which is glass.-bottomed and situated directly above the aforementioned disco. Finally, it has
been designed to accommodate up to 14 guests and boasts enough space for 42 crew mem-
bers.
Dubai – $350 million:
Originally a joint project between Blohm + Voss and Lürssen shipyards, the Dubai was com-
missioned by Prince Jefri Bolkiah of Brunei more than 10 years prior to the ship’s launch
in 2006. It was acquired by Platinum Yachts for His Highness Sheik Mohammed Rashid
al-Maktoum (ruler of Dubai) who designed the decadent interior. The most striking features
of this beautiful boat comprise the abundance of sunbathing areas, several jacuzzis and the
swimming pool boasting elaborate handmade tiling. Similarly, the interior features intricately
designed handmade mosaics and a stunning circular staircase with glass steps with change
colour with the light that enters from the top deck. Bold colours dominate the spectacularly
decorated interior whilst the spacious deck of the
Dubai houses a split-level owner’s deck, a large social
area and lounge, numerous VIP and guest suites,
and finally a crew area large enough to carry up to
115 people. Finally, a helipad, which can accommo
date a helicopter of up to 9,5 tons, completes this
extravagant ensemble, previously the largest yacht in
the world.
Superyacht A – $323 million: There is nothing unique about the name of this luxury
liner however, the 400-feet long Superyacht A does boast an original design. Reminiscent of a
stealth warship or submarine, it was designed by Blohm + Voss of Hamburg and named after
the first initials of the fortunate owners, Andrey and Aleksandra Melnichenko, the Russian
billionaire and his wife. As can be expected, the Superyacht A comprises the epitome of
luxury. The boat interior extends over 24,000 square
feet housing a 2,500 square feet master bedroom and
disco, as well as six guest suites which can be
converted into four larger staterooms thanks to
the moving walls. In addition, mirrored surfaces
feature extensively throughout the interior whilst the
furniture, glassware and tableware are made of
French crystal. Above deck, the Superyacht A houses
a helicopter hangar, as well as a 30 foot speed boat
kept in the hull and three swimming pools, one of
Azzam – $650 million:
Lürssen Yachts is behind this
luxury liner which was recently
delivered to fortunate Sheikh
Khalifa bin Zayed al-Nayan,
President of the United Arab
Emirates and Emir of Abu
Dhabi for no less than $650
million. This makes it the
world’s fourth most expensive
luxury yacht with the makers
boasting that the Azzam is “the
most complex and challenging
yacht that has ever been built”. However, not only has the Azzam been dominating the head-
lines for its hefty price tag but also due to its immense size. Measuring in at 590 feet long, this
floating extravagance boasts the largest private yacht in the world thus knocking the Eclipse,
belonging to Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich, off the top spot. In addition, this im-
pressive superyacht is expected to be one of the fastest reaching speeds of more than 30 knots,
or 35mph. The luxury interiors were designed by French interior decorator Christophe Leoni
which has been described as “sophisticated and luxurious in a turn of the century Empire
style”. For the moment little else is known about the Azzam.
Streets of Monaco –
$1.1 billion:
As the name indicates this
luxury yacht comprises a
floating replica of the city of
Monaco. To be more precise,
the Streets of Monaco is
modelled on a section of
Monte Carlo and expected
to cost over $1.1 billion. The
reason for such a hefty price
tag is that, unlike your more
traditional luxury liner, this
extraordinary 500 foot
superyacht by Yacht Island
Design of Derbyshire County in England, features scaled-down reproductions of landmarks
from the billionaire playground of Monaco. They include the famous Monte Carlo Casino and
racetrack, as well as Hotel de Paris. Cafe de Paris, La Rascasse and the Loews Hotel. Streets
of Monaco also boasts swimming pools and tennis courts in addition to sumptuous living
quarters imitating those featuring in Monaco’s finest hotels. They include seven guest suites
(accommodating up to 16 people) with accompanying receptions rooms, bathrooms, dressing
rooms and balconies all located in the Atrium, the ship’s centrepiece. Similarly, the Atrium
houses the main apartment of the fortunate billionaire owner, approximately the size of a lux-
ury penthouse, spreading over three floors and extending over 4,800 square feet.
Eclipse – $1.5 billion:
Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich is proud owner
of the Eclipse, the second most expensive yacht in the
world. Rumoured to be worth $800,000 to $1.5 billion, it
was built by Blohm and Voss of Hamburg and measures
536 feet long also making it the second largest in the
world. The Eclipse’s immense size allows space for the
boat’s many extravagant features including 24 guest cab-
ins, two swimming pools, several hot tubs, and a disco
hall not to mention the two helicopter pads, three launch
boats and mini-submarine capable of submerging up to
50 metres underwater. Furthermore, for maximum secu-
rity, the Eclipse is fitted with intruder detection systems
and a missile defence system whilst the master bedroom
and bridge of the yacht features fitted armour plating and
bulletproof windows. Finally, this unique vessel boasts an
anti-paparazzi shield which consists of lasers sweeping
the surrounding areas. Upon detection of possible lurk-
ing professional photographers, a light is shone directly
upon the camera to prevent a photograph being taken.
Finally, a whopping 70 member crew is required to main-
tain this floating extravagance.
Eclipse – $1.5 billion
History Supreme ~ Price: $4.5 billion:
Finally, boasting the world’s most expensive yacht is the History Supreme. This
pricey 100-foot vessel was designed by world-renowned UK luxury designer
Stuart Hughes, took over 3 years to complete and was purchased by an anon-
ymous Malaysian businessman for a whopping $4.5 billion dollars! This stag-
gering sum is owed to the solid gold and platinum used to assembly this luxury
liner which features no less than 100,000 kg (220,000 Ibs) of these precious
metals. They adorn the entirety of the boat right from the base of the vessel,
coated in a thin layer of solid gold, to the dining area, deck, rails, staircases and
anchor. One of the most outstanding features of this magnificent superyacht
is the master bedroom. It boasts a wall feature made from meteorite rock and
a statue made from genuine Tyrannosaurus Rex bones! In addition, a 68 kg
24-carat gold Aquavista Panoramic Wall Aquarium graces the master suite
and on board is a liquor bottle featuring an extremely rare 18.5 carat diamond
worth $45 million alone! Finally, an iPhone wrapped in 500 cut diamonds,
including two interchangeable diamonds fitted over the “home button, a 7.4
carat pink diamond and a rare 8 carat diamond, add to the many extravagant
features on the History Supreme, the most expensive yacht in the world.

styles to browse, there’s a thought
for everyone; need thoughts for dif-
ferent regions of your home? Our
lavatory and lounge outline exhibi-
tions have several dazzling thoughts
to take.
Pile Pillows:
Heap on the cushions, and don’t
modest far from blending exam-
ples. Join extensive prints with little
ones, florals with geometrics.
Artwork:
Hanging a realistic coverlet is a
simple answer for the “enormous
clear divider” issue. Reciprocal bed
cloths pull the style together.
Texture:
A printed cover, similar to this unmistakable natural outline, does a considerable measure of
the truly difficult work concerning style.
Focus On The Walls:
End tables and customizable lights fastened to dividers sagaciously spare space in a little
room.
Personalize:
Your room ought to express your identity (not simply plan standards), so don’t hesitate to go a
bit topsy turvy, as with the workmanship here.
Be Consistent:
Note that the shading and whimsical bends of the headboard are resounded by the divider
enhancement.
Make It Comfortable:
Top your bed with blankets made for cuddling, similar to a down sofa. For aggregate liberali-
ty, pick ultra-delicate eiderdown.
93
Center Of Attention:
A lovely bit of furniture turns into the point of convergence when calculated into the room.
This methodology may be more proficient in your space, as well.

Boutique
Nirav Modi launched its flagship boutique in
Mumbai’s iconic and resplendent art district of
Kala Ghoda this evening. The Mumbai boutique
is NIRAV MODI’s second in the country and is
a fitting addition to the neighborhood given the

drawing inspiration from different schools of Art
or the stunning design of the boutique itself.
On the occasion of the launch, the NIRAV

an enormous gift box with a large ribbon bow
on the façade. With hundreds of shimmering
lanterns, the outside of the store looked just as
striking as the interiors.
Inside, a live installation of models wearing
stunning jewels from NIRAV MODI collec-
tions ranging from their Lotus Collection, to
the Luminance Collection and more impressed
the guests. The décor featured fresh flowers and
candles, which beautifully set the right mood for
the glamorous evening.

It may have been a long night, but the CFDA Fashion Awards, held as usual at Lincoln Cen-
ter’s Alice Tully Hall, weren’t boring. James Corden, of The Late Late Show fame and the eve-
ning’s first-time host, started things off by lampooning the industry to the tune of “to dream
‘The Impossible Dream,’” and got progressively more fearless as his bit went on, sticking it to
Terry Richardson, who wasn’t in the audience to defend himself, and Kanye West, who was.
“Kim and Kanye are both presenting this evening,” Corden said. “I should warn you that
Kanye is going to interrupt both speeches to say that Beyoncé should have won them.”
West made no interruptions, but he did deliver one of his trademark soliloquies when it came
time to introduce this year’s Fashion Icon, Pharrell Williams, near the end of the ceremo-
ny. “What’s up, CFDA? You know how [President] Obama brought out the angrier version
of himself? I’m sort of like the angrier version of Pharrell.” After rapping the opening lines
of “New Slaves,” he took the crowd to task for “completely destroying” his first collection,
which, he reminded the audience, sold out-$6,000 shoes included. When he eventually did
wind around to the subject of Williams, West said, “there would be no me, no A$AP [Rocky],
without Pharrell being the nicer version of Obama.” Williams, displaying his own trademark
niceness, had kind words for everyone from his jeweler Lorraine Schwartz to “the genius” Rei
Kawakubo.
In between, Chelsea Clinton took to the stage for a remembrance of Oscar de la Renta; the
Italian actress Valeria Golino paid tribute to the Italian designers and International Award
winners Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli of Valentino; and Kelly Osbourne made
an endearing speech about Betsey Johnson, the evening’s Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achieve-
ment Award winner. Yes, Johnson is 72 (she’s got two years on J.Crew’s Mickey Drexler, who
picked up the Founder’s Award). And yes, she did do a cartwheel into a perfect split, jostling
loose a few crystals from her bib necklace, before accepting her statuette.
117
To cap off the evening’s all-
star lineup, The Row’s Ash-
ley and Mary-Kate Olsen
accepted the Womenswear
Designer of the Year prize,
beating out Michael Kors,
Marc Jacobs, the Proenza
Schouler duo, and Joseph
Altuzarra. It fact, it was a
good night for women de-
signers, celebrity and other-
wise, with Tabitha Simmons
winning the Accessories
Designer of the Year Award,
and Rosie Assoulin and
Mansur Gavriel’s Rachel
Mansur and Floriana
Gavriel taking home the
Swarovski prizes for wom-
enswear and accessories, re-
spectively. On the guys’ side
of things, Swarovski winner
Shayne Oliver of Hood by
Air had almost as many let-
ters stenciled on the back of
his head-HBA-as he uttered
words on stage. Tom Ford,
who received the menswear
award, and is a little more
practiced at these things,
remembered his 15 minutes
at this venue last year. “I’m
so glad to know that there
is life after the Lifetime
Achievement Award.”
We couldn’t leave out fash-
ion’s favorite social media
app. Picking up the Media
Award and giving a shout-
out to Kim Kardashian
West (34.8m followers),
Kevin Systrom (1.1m) said,
“I may be the CEO, but
Kim, you are the queen of
Instagram.”

Oscar de la Renta Resort 2016 Collection Beach colors of mari- gold, magenta, per- simmon and marine blue were used in bold floral prints and em- broideries, sometimes in tandem on printed dresses with embroi- dered over-bodices. Copping tends toward a light construction, which refreshed neat daywear, such as a black and white mini daisy dot cotton pop- lin skirt suit, and gave breathing room to voluminous taffeta gowns and cocktail dresses that riffed on opera coats. Swim- wear-inspired bodices and a filmy caftan Copping’s first ever underscored the air of ease that’s wafting through the house. Peter Copping’s creative direc- tion at Oscar de la Renta is still in its infancy, as he discovers the world of the late designer and how to treat it. Resort was Copping’s second collection third if you count bridal for the house, and he used it to ex- plore one of de la Renta’s signature motifs bright color through the lens of his favorite places. “I really wanted to marry two of Oscar’s worlds, New York City and Punta Cana,” Cop- ping said. It goes without saying that Oscar de la Renta’s love for unapolo- getic femininity, which Copping shares, was also a major factor. 29

These dresses not only look extremely classy but make your arms look really slim too. So if you do not have a party dress with sleek and long Chantil- ly sleeves then now is the correct season to get your hands on it. If you want to buy a dress which is really sleek, skimpy and flowing at the same time, another really stylish idea for the sleeves is three quarter sleeves of the same mate- rial. You can either get them done in a fitted style or even in a lose fitting too. Both ways the dress will give you and extremely con- temporary look and you are sure to look extremely beautiful. Very loosely fit chiffon sleeves look gorgeous too. If your dress in pastel colors, is a flowing one or is made of chiffon or a similar material, these sleeves are the best option for you. These sleeves give a very feminine look to your whole attire and the prin- cess like feeling is an added wow factor. So, flowing chiffon sleeves can also do the trick for you. If you are confused whether to go sleeveless or with sleeves the best way to get rid of this confusion is go with half sleeves. Gone are the days when half sleeved dressed looked bad as very recently they are back in fashion. You can ei- ther opt for a proper half sleeves dress or make a move for ex- tremely short cap sleeves. 33
  • 35. These are some of the very basic party dresses with sleeves ideas for all beautiful ladies out there so that not only we make it easy for you to blindly follow these great ideas but, also make sure that you exper- iment with some original and new ideas of your own based on these basic sleeved dresses ideas. There is hardly any way you can go wrong with the dresses if you have a clear idea of what your figure is like, what materials suit you and what kind of a color will be perfect for you. While picking a dress, we do not really focus on the sleeves but they can actually make or break the entire look for you and your dress. So, our recommendation is that you focus on the sleeves as much as you would on other aspects while choosing the dress. There is no way you will not steal the show. Either way, you will get a re- ally nice and summery look for the party. Cap sleeves are more contemporary as compared to traditional half sleeves so go for any one of the two according to your personal style statement or the look that you choose to appear in for the party.
  • 36. Fantastic Ways To Wear Espadrilles This Summer Try on a cute summer dress in a fun and classy print and pair a cute strappy espadrille sandals with that. An aviator sunglasses and fedora hat adds up to the classy female vibe of the outfit. For very much quite a while, espadrilles are the quintessen- tial summer shoes. It’s trade- mark easygoing quality and agreeableness is eventually what makes this footwear completely fitting for summer. Also, there are such a large number of sorts of espadrille shoes to pick from–loafers, pads, level shoes, stage shoes, wedged. So its awfully wrong to think naturally that espadrilles are only for dressed-down looks. This footwear could unques- tionably rival the fancier shoes, for example, stilettos and soft- ened cowhide boots. Further- more, there are as much outfits to wear as the sorts of espadrille shoes accessible, as well. 35
  • 37. 1. Matching Top And Flat Espadrilles: Have your top match with your level espadrilles in a splendid and lovely summer shading, for ex- ample, sky blue. This specific outfit is so agreeable to wear particularly with the free jeans. The pants’ high contrast print is additionally a slight bit suf- ficiently dressy to make this common home gar- ments furnish not so much evident but rather more wearable outside. The espadrille loafers and sweat- shirt looks ideal for business and casual outfit. 2. Everyday Espadrilles – Androgynous: On the off chance that you are all the more in the state of mind for something less ladylike and most likely something male/female, you can attack your beau’s closet for a suit coat and a tore pants. Wear a white shirt underneath the coat, sleeve the hemline of the jeans and slip on an impartial hued espadrille stage. You need to discover the harmony in the middle of female and manly with your espadrilles. Espadrille platform ripped jeans and blazer makes the classy combo. 3. Ideal Business Outfit in Casual Way: You may be welcome to a business related lunch in your office. This late spring, you’d need to look crisp and in the meantime genuine and centered. My recommendation? Snatch a fresh captured shirt half-tucked into your clean white jeans and slip on a couple of espadrilles shoes. 4. Seaside Sublimity: You can wear the Espadrilles as comfortable beach footwear and is a more stylish alternative than your average flip-flops. A simple loose shirt with lace skirt can be a great cover up. 5. Boho Beauty: Off shoulder tops are getting truly well known this season and they look stunningly magnificent when combined with espadrilles. For the base a large por- tion of your outfit, choose a slouchy pair of mother or beau pants to finish the bohemian look. The espadrilles shoes is completely chic and creates an impression, as well.
  • 38. 6. Wear with Dressy Skirt: For a less feminine look , slip on your favorite t-shirt and pair it with a lace skirt. Wear this outfit with espadrilles sandals in nude color will make you like stylish and casual at the same time. Natural color espadrilles will help to harmonize the dressy skirt and the all-too-casual shirt. Espadrille sandals tee shirt and lace skirt looks the best . 7. Night Look: This is a dressier outfit that is incredible for a night out with companions or with your lover. A burgun- dy coat is a decent blend to a dark romper and will keep you warm against the frosty night. The espa- drille wedged heels tones down the outfit for it to be more easygoing. Add to that, the late spring feel of the shoes. Espadrille sandals with dark shaded outfits make your night look dazzling . Moreover, espadrille sandals with sock and high waist shorts can be a good option.

  • 50. When you’re less than satisfied with the way your lipstick color looks a few hours after ap- plication, it’s time to improve your entire application routine, from preparation to finishing touches. Choose your lip color carefully and find out how to make lipstick last longer. Touch- ups don’t always look great when it comes to your lips, so you should prepare your lips in the morning for the entire day. Try to get everything right in front of your own mirror and you’ll get a vibrant color that real- ly lasts longer. Be Reasonable: Unfortunately, there isn’t a magic trick to make any shade and kind of lipstick stay on your lips for 12 hours or more. If you really want to know how to make lipstick last longer, be prepared to let go of shimmering colors, which last the least. Creamy lipsticks stay put for longer, but matte lipstick is the one that will keep the pigment the longest on your lips. Choose a long-wearing lipstick with silicone, which keeps the pigment intact and sepa- rate from the natural oils on your skin which make color fade faster. You should also be prepared to use a straw when you drink liq- uids and minimize contact between food and your lips if you want it to last throughout the day. Exfoliate Regularly: Your lips need exfoliation as much as the rest of the skin on your face, and getting rid of the dead skin cells will also help keep the color on your lips for longer. Scrub your lips with sugar and honey once or twice a keep and you’ll never have to deal with skin flakes on your lips. Lipstick color stays for longer when your lips aren’t dry. 49
  • 51. Use Lip Balm: Moisturizing with lip balm every night is a must for healthy lips, but you also need to put on a thin coat to secure your lipstick color. Put your lip balm on right after washing your face, then leave the lips for the end of your makeup routine. Gen- tly wipe any excess lip balm before apply- ing color and stay away from ingredients which can be drying, including camphor and menthol, to make lipstick last longer. Give Lip Primer a Try: Using a primer will make any type of makeup last longer, so you should defi- nitely see if a good primer works for you. If you keep your lips moisturized cor- rectly, primer shouldn’t dry them out too much, but if you find it uncomfortable, you can stick to the other tricks that show you how to make lipstick last longer. Apply Lip Liner Correctly: Most of the time, using lip liner helps the color stay longer for lips, but that means that you won’t just use it at the edges of your lips. Instead, start from the center of your your lips and keep filling in with lip liner towards the edges. Besides act- ing like a lighter primer for lipstick, liner will also be there when the lipstick color fades away, keeping your smile beautiful, and it also directly helps make lipstick last longer. Choose the Right Lip Color: When you’re in doubt what shade of lipstick to choose, always go darker if you want it to stay intact on your lips for longer. Darker shades of red, coral, pink, coral and even brown always look better after many hours thank lighter shades. You don’t have to worry about that with nude shades, since they look much less noticeable when they start fading. Use Translucent Powder: One of the best tricks used by makeup artists is a layer of translucent powder between two layers of color. If you’re wondering how to make lip- stick last longer with powder, first blot your first layer of lipstick with a tissue. Use an eyeshadow blending blush and gently swirl it while pressing it against your lips, then apply the second layer of color. Avoid Gloss: You can’t have a glossy look on your lips that really lasts. Trying to layer it on over lipstick will make the color fade faster, so if you absolutely want a glossy finish, go with less. A touch of gloss on the lower lip, right in the center, can add a bit of shine while keeping colors stay vibrant for longer. Finish with Concealer: Once you’ve done everything you can to make lipstick last longer, make sure your look is flawless with a touch of concealer. Use a clean lip brush and add a bit of concealer to create clean edges on your lips.

LONG HAIR: And no, I’m not talking biker style. Good healthy shoul- der-length hair is really mak- ing a comeback within men’s fashion. A lot of stylists and grooming experts are encour- aging men to grow their hair. Generally, men with long hair tend to keep it in better con- dition than women as wom- en fiddle with it too much, just be sure to go for regular trims, keep it clean and use a good conditioner such as ‘Sas- soon Advanced Condition.’ You could add a matte hair product to the ends to help keep control in the wind. TOP KNOT: Following on from those that have long hair; it brings the option to wear your hair tied back. Brush you hair back with your fingers into a ponytail or top knot. If the hair is brushed and in good condition the style could suit almost anyone. This style can work really well with a rugged man sporting a beard since it offers an interesting and sophisticated contrast.
  • 58. No Time for Workout Other Ways to Lose Weight EAT SMALLER PORTIONS: “You don’t need to cook your own food or even eat different food to lose weight,” says Katula. “You just need to eat less, and eating less doesn’t take more time or cost more money.” Most people need to consume between 1,200 and 1,500 calories a day if they want to drop pounds in a healthy and sustainable way and for a lot of people, eating appropriate portion sizes, skipping dessert, or not going back for seconds is one of the easiest ways to reduce their total calorie intake. DON’T SKIP MEALS: This may seem counterintuitive after advice to eat less overall, but busy people especially may need to space out their calories more throughout the day, says Jessica Bartfield, MD, clinical assistant professor at Loyola University’s Center for Metabolic Surgery and Bariatric Care. That’s because going more than four or five hours without refueling can slow metabolism, affect hormones and insulin levels, and contribute to unhealthy food choices when you do finally sit down to eat. “A lot of our overweight patients aren’t necessarily overeating, but their eating patterns have become so erratic they have a cup of coffee in the morning and then no real food until late afternoon,” she says. “They key is to avoid that and keep a consistent schedule, whether that’s three meals a day and a couple of snacks, or five mini meals.” 57
  • 59. SQUEEZE IN MORE MOVEMENT: Setting aside time for a 30- or 60-minute workout is ideal, “but you can burn a lot of calories in not-so-ide- al workout situations, too,” says Katula. In fact, there’s nothing wrong with breaking up your 150 recom- mended minutes of weekly moderate exercise into short bursts throughout your day. “If you can fit in 10 minutes in the morning, 10 minutes at lunch, and 10 minutes at night, and you can do that five days a week, you’re there,” he says. Katula tells his patients to think of burning calories they way they think of saving money. “We do so many little things clip coupons, buy store brands to save a dime here or a quarter there, because we know it adds up. PRACTICE SIMPLE FOOD SWAPS: Just like Katula tells his patients to think of exercise like they do clipping coupons, he tells them to think of their food choices the same way. “Whether it’s leaving the cheese off a hamburger or switching from mayo to honey mustard, there are so many little things you can do and so many little swaps you can make over the course of a day that can add up and save you calories without costing you any extra time.” Think about your daily beverages too, not just your solid foods. Switch- ing from soda to seltzer water with lemon (or even to diet soda), or using less sugar in your coffee, for exam- ple, can save you several pounds a year. MAKE SURE YOU’RE SLEEPING ENOUGH: When it feels like there aren’t enough hours in the day, it may be tempting to stay up late or wake up super early just to get everything done especially if you’re trying to squeeze in regular exercise in addition to everything else you have to do. That strategy can back- fire if you’re not getting enough quality shuteye for your body to function properly, says Katula. “If you’re trying to change your behavior and lose weight by eating less and moving more, you will be more likely to achieve that if you are getting the proper amount of sleep,” he says. Sell yourself short and you may lack the energy needed to complete your workouts; even worse, you’ll crave sugary and fatty foods that will help you stay awake, but will wreak havoc on your waistline. USE YOUR WEEKENDS WISE- LY: Even if your job requires long and grueling hours, hopefully you have at least a couple of days off every week to regroup and plan ahead. “Even though we’re pressed for time, most of us have pretty predictable sched- ules,” says Dr. Bartfield. “So it can help to spend some time on Saturday and Sunday shopping for healthy food, preparing some lunch and din- ner items for the week, and deciding which days you’re going to eat what.” You can also use your day or days off to get in longer workouts than you’d have time for during the week, says Katula. “If you can get in 120 min- utes of exercise over the weekend, you really only need to dedicate small amounts of time throughout the week to reach your 150-minute goal.” BE ACTIVE WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY: You may argue that weekends are for family time, or that you’d rather spend your precious free time with friends. Why not turn that social time into fitness time? “You don’t need to go to the gym for it to count as exer- cise,” says Katula. “You can play with your kids for a few hours and still get your heart rate up and see beneficial results.” Join a pick-up sports league or a running group with friends, or swap your typical happy-hour date for a Spin class together. Or, start a weekly walking or hiking tradition with your family. Either way, being active with others can help you stick with it. “Social support is a key ingre- dient to any sort of behavior change,” says Katula.
  • 60. HEALTHY-MEAL SHORTCUTS: We’re often told to steer clear of packaged foods for better health, but some frozen and pre- made goods can truly help you whip up a healthy meal in minutes, says Bartfield. “There are tons of good options in the freezer aisle, either for individuals or even family-size meals, that can be prepared quickly,” she says. “Or you could buy a rotisserie chicken take the skin off and slice it on top of a salad, or buy frozen vegetables to serve with it.” (Keep in mind that rotis- serie chickens can be high in sodium, so cut back your intake from other sources.) On nights when even that’s not an option, you still have choices about where you eat out or what pre- pared foods you bring home; the key is knowing ahead of time which restaurant you’ll choose and which items are healthiest, so you’re not stuck making a last-minute (bad) decision.

  • 62. 2015 BMW X1 RevealedThe second-generation BMW X1 has been revealed nearly four months before the all- new SUV is due to make its public debut at the Frankfurt motor show. Set to go on sale in the UK this autumn, the Audi Q3 rival has been comprehensive- ly re-engineered and gets BMW’s versatile UKL platform, as used on the 2 Series Ac- tive Tourer and Gran Tourer. The longitudinal engine layout of the first-generation X1 is replaced by a space-saving transverse layout, which helps to provide more interior space and im- proved safety credentials. Lower-end mod- els also have front-wheel drive instead of the rear-wheel drive of the outgoing X1. The new X1 takes on a more rugged appearance than that of the model it replaces. It has a bolder front end, angular headlights with LED daytime running lights, round foglights, a contoured bonnet, prominent front wheel arches, extra cladding on its sills and in- creased ground clearance. The adoption of the UKL platform has allowed BMW’s design team to endow the X1 with an altered silhouette fea- turing a significantly shorter bonnet and longer roofline than the old X1. Retaining the five-door layout of old X1, it also receives larger rear door apertures for added ease of entry. The revised X1 is 36mm shorter but 21mm wider and 53mm taller than its pre- decessor, at 4439mm long, 1821mm wide and 1598mm tall. A 90mm-longer wheelbase allows 37mm more knee room in the back, which in- creases by an additional 66mm with an option- al tilting and sliding rear seat. Boot space has also increased by 85 litres to 505 litres, rising to 1550 litres with the rear seats folded. 61

  • 65. The back seats can be folded electri- cally from the rear of the boot at the touch of a button for the first time. As an option, the front passenger seat backrest can also be folded down. While continuing to offer accommo- dation for up to five, The new BMW SUV has a slightly revised seating lay- out to take advantage of the packaging improvements brought by the switch to a transverse engine layout. The front seats are now 36mm higher than on the first-generation model, while the rear seats are set 64mm higher. In entry-level sDrive18d guise, the X1 is 135kg lighter than its predecessor, at 1430kg. This is because of the use of more hot-formed high-strength steel and aluminium within the main body structure, the use of tailored blank steel for the front bulkhead. Underpinning the new BMW is a MacPherson strut front and multi-link rear suspension shared with the 2 Series Gran Tourer. It is allied to an electro-me- chanical speed-sensitive Servotronic steering system that is engineered to provide lighter weighting at lower speeds for added manoeuvrability around town and a firmer feel at higher speeds for increased stability on the motorway. The new compact off-roader rolls on 17in alloy wheels as standard, with 18in and 19in rims available as an option. In a first for the X1, the new model comes with adjustable dampers in combination with an optional Driver Experience Control function that enables the driver to choose between Sport and Comfort suspension settings, along with Sport, Comfort and Eco Pro driving modes.

In older times it was hard even to get to the nearest towns but now things have completely changed. One can choose any location to spend their time in. While most people still prefer Paris and Singapore as their favorite holi- day destination, there are many who consider those locations yawn induc- ing simply because they need much more thrill than a tower or an art festival could provide. Now that she has an offer for three bolly- wood movies, she feels that her followers should connect with her in her new roles. For her the horizon is huge and she hopes to reach new highs and there by reach out to her followers through excellence in perfor- mance on the screen. As indicated by reports Mawra has marked 3 Bollywood movies. Mawra Hocane talked about her new look and working in Bollywood. Here is what she said: Your new look stunned and astonished numerous… would you truly like to dispose of your bubbly picture in Paki- stani shows? Mawra Hocane (MH): First of all, give me a chance to elucidate several things. Since I have entered Bollywood, I need to investigate new skylines as an on-screen character. Our kin dependably require some investment to conform at whatever point something new is done and that is precisely what happened with my shoot. I’m totally fine with the overall population response, on the other hand, I’m extremely grateful to my fans for such a tremendous positive reaction.I don’t feel I’ve done any- thing diverse to what’s going on in all the Pakistani movies as well. It’s simply that the stage is relatively tremen- dous so the reaction is huge as well. I don’t feel I’ve done anything diverse to what’s going on in all the Pakistani movies as well. It’s simply that the stage is relatively tremendous so the reaction is huge as well. With respect to the bubbly picture, I don’t mean to dispose it off for a couple of years. The genuine bubbliness is never going with- out end; in any event not till I’m in my mid 20, I’m living my dream and that’s one of the reasons I don’t dwell into the technicalities of how different they both are. I’m glad I’m get- ting to learn the basics of film acting from the very best people. I am also ecstatic that I’m being loved and pampered here in India and am super motivated to deliver my best. Ranbir Kapoor’s video message was a huge thing for a newbie like you… have you got to meet him yet? MH: I’ve got more things to be joyous about than just that video alone. Mawra is so happy to become a part of such a huge platform at a tender age. “I’m the youngest to hit Indian cinema from Pakistan because in the past peo- ple first got to establish themselves in Karachi or Lahore and then got a break in Bollywood. Nonetheless I’m extremely happy; I don’t want the updates on this matter to overshadow my work. 69

  • 74. 7. What role do you feel is the most challenging you did so far? It was in the drama serial ‘Mi Raqsam’. • 76. Preity ZintaI Never Wanted To Be An Actress How is it to judge a reality show? It’s not easy to critique someone but I don’t think I have a problem with being honest. But as long as you can cri- tique and encourage them, then the criticism becomes constructive. If you just criticise and be mean, it becomes destructive. And I always treat people the way I like to be treated by them. What would you be if you were not an ac- tress? I don’t know, but I never wanted to be an actress. Till date my mother tells me when I was a little kid I told her I wanted to be the Prime Minister, a cop or even a judge. I even said I wanted to join the army or be a truck driver, but I never said that I wanted to be an actress. I went from criminal psychology to being an actress and then into cricket. 75
  • 77. You are a bold and outspoken person. Has it ever posed a problem for you? I don’t have time to think about what others think. I stopped thinking about what others think a long time ago. Because when you start thinking about that, you start feeling bad, you start looking bad and you can’t sleep. It’s not just one other person; there is just one ‘you’ and billions of others. I just think about the people who love me, whom I love and what they think about me. I don’t waste my time on yeh kya soch raha hai, woh kya soch raha hai (what does this or that person think). What kind of wife you would be? I will be the most amazing wife. What is status of your upcoming movie Bhaiyyaji Superhitt? We are going to complete the film when Sunny Deol finishes his film (Ghayal Once Again). We are going to start working on it very soon. What depresses you? Whenever some- thing in life is not on the right track, depression automat- ically sets in. But I can’t be sad for a long time. I am a happy person. What do you do when you are upset? I shut myself in my room, scream loud- ly and cry it all out. And in some time, I’m fine again.
  • 78. Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhada- kne Do is a film that has its heart in the right place but its beats are terribly irregular. It is an overly caramelised and flaky dys- functional family drama that strives – and fails – to strike a balance between the sly and the syrupy. What the film posits as sly and self-serving sim- ply aren’t piercing enough to get to the heart of the disconcerting truths it is seeking to expose, and its generous dollops of syrup translate into a treacly- sweet overdose. As a result, the nearly three-hour sea voyage, despite the game efforts of its multi-star cast to liven things up with varying degrees of spirited hamming, seems like an eternity. Dil Dhadakne Do is a mix of updated Jane Austen, Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd (minus the gay man sub-plot) and Bollywood excess on a super ship that brings out the worst in its passengers. Zoya Akhtar’s previous outing, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, was a lively road movie in which three friends under- took a trip of self-discovery. The film gave us the sights and sounds of Spain like no other Hindi film has ever done. Dil Dhadakne Do goes off terra firma and boards a cruise ship with a bunch of blabbering blokes whose lives are caught in a whirlpool of lies, rivalries and unrequited desires. Most of the drama unfolds indoors, so all one gets at regular intervals are establishing shots of the ship framed against the deep blue sea – pretty but point- less. 77
  • 79. The ship drops anchor briefly in Istanbul, and one character tells another that there is magic in the air in this ancient Turkish city. True, but Dil Dhadakne Do does no justice to that magic, or anything else along the way. The film deals with two loveless marriages, a few unlikely liaisons, one exemplary case of sibling bonding and a host of matronly matchmakers in a manner so facile that the ex- ercise resembles exactly what the film is about – a ten-day ride on a luxury cruise liner. It is a leaking ship that never gathers any momentum at all and eventually sinks under the weight of a vapid, if not outright vacuous, screenplay (Akhtar and Re- ema Kagti, with dialogue by Farhan Akhtar). The dreary Dil Dhadakne Do isn’t likely to do for luxury cruise liners what Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara did for Spain. It is a film that is beautiful to look at, but it says pretty much nothing that is star- tlingly original. It tells us that it is best to let our hearts lead the way no matter how complicated matters may become as a result of our words and deeds. So there you are, Dil Dhadakne Do revels in stating the obvious about Homo sapiens in general and Punjabis in particular, and does so through the perspective of a canine narrator that is voiced by Aamir Khan and who speaks lines written by Javed Akhtar. The robust and unreal Juhu ‘Funjabis‘ that we encounter in song- and-dance extravaganzas from the YRF and Dharma stables, if nothing else, make an entertaining spectacle of themselves.
  • 80. In Dil Dhadakne Do, the squabbling Mehras, Soods and Khannas are a surpris- ingly tepid lot who do a lot of talking without getting to the point. Their antics make for a dreadfully bor- ing, overlong film that like the ship that it is set on me- anders from port to port without exploring the nooks and crannies that really mat- ter. Dil Dhadakne Do is the story of Kamal Mehra (Anil Kapoor), a self-made man who presides over a success- ful company, Ayka, named after his two children, Ayesha (Priyanka Chopra) and Kabir (Ranveer Singh). The philandering patriarch and his indepen- dent-spirited daughter are both unhappily mar- ried – the former to a bored homemaker Neelam (Shefali Shah) and the latter to a Mumbai business- man Manav Sanga (Rahul Bose). All of them have huge chips on their shoulders. Ayesha, founder of a thriving travel portal, has no love lost for her nar- row-minded hubby. She also has good reason to feel majorly short- changed by her parents who not only shower all their attention on their male heir but are also guilty of forcing her to marry against her wish. Kabir, on his part, has no flair for the corporate world and flying is his “one true love”. His world comes crashing down when his dad decides to sell the family plane because it is a dead investment for his debt-ridden business. Amid the impending crisis, to celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary,
  • 81. Neelam and Kamal Mehra invite friends and family over for a cruise in the course of which long-suppressed tensions and frustrations tumble forth and ignite un- seemly friction. Kamal is too full of himself to notice that neither his wife nor his son and daughter think much of him. The same is true of Manav, Ayesha’s hus- band who believes his wife would always be at his beck and call despite the fact that she is an entrepreneur in her own right. On the ship, Ayesha comes face to face with her first love, Sunny Gill (Farhan Akhtar), the son of her dad’s trust- ed manager, while her drifter-brother falls head over heels for dancer Farah Ali (Anushka Sharma). More complications, more sweet nothings. Hindi cinema his- tory has seen one big film about “loving your parents”. Dil Dhadakne Do is about “hating your parents” and in the process compelling them to change their ways.

To be more precise, the Streets of Monaco is modelled on a section of Monte Carlo and expected to cost over $1.1 billion. They include the famous Monte Carlo Casino and racetrack, as well as Hotel de Paris. Cafe de Paris, La Rascasse and the Loews Hotel. • 118. CFDA Fashion Awards 2015 It may have been a long night, but the CFDA Fashion Awards, held as usual at Lincoln Cen- ter’s Alice Tully Hall, weren’t boring. James Corden, of The Late Late Show fame and the eve- ning’s first-time host, started things off by lampooning the industry to the tune of “to dream ‘The Impossible Dream,’” and got progressively more fearless as his bit went on, sticking it to Terry Richardson, who wasn’t in the audience to defend himself, and Kanye West, who was. “Kim and Kanye are both presenting this evening,” Corden said. “I should warn you that Kanye is going to interrupt both speeches to say that Beyoncé should have won them.” West made no interruptions, but he did deliver one of his trademark soliloquies when it came time to introduce this year’s Fashion Icon, Pharrell Williams, near the end of the ceremo- ny. “What’s up, CFDA? You know how [President] Obama brought out the angrier version of himself? I’m sort of like the angrier version of Pharrell.” After rapping the opening lines of “New Slaves,” he took the crowd to task for “completely destroying” his first collection, which, he reminded the audience, sold out-$6,000 shoes included. When he eventually did wind around to the subject of Williams, West said, “there would be no me, no A$AP [Rocky], without Pharrell being the nicer version of Obama.” Williams, displaying his own trademark niceness, had kind words for everyone from his jeweler Lorraine Schwartz to “the genius” Rei Kawakubo. In between, Chelsea Clinton took to the stage for a remembrance of Oscar de la Renta; the Italian actress Valeria Golino paid tribute to the Italian designers and International Award winners Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli of Valentino; and Kelly Osbourne made an endearing speech about Betsey Johnson, the evening’s Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achieve- ment Award winner. Yes, Johnson is 72 (she’s got two years on J.Crew’s Mickey Drexler, who picked up the Founder’s Award). And yes, she did do a cartwheel into a perfect split, jostling loose a few crystals from her bib necklace, before accepting her statuette. 117
  • 119. To cap off the evening’s all- star lineup, The Row’s Ash- ley and Mary-Kate Olsen accepted the Womenswear Designer of the Year prize, beating out Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs, the Proenza Schouler duo, and Joseph Altuzarra. It fact, it was a good night for women de- signers, celebrity and other- wise, with Tabitha Simmons winning the Accessories Designer of the Year Award, and Rosie Assoulin and Mansur Gavriel’s Rachel Mansur and Floriana Gavriel taking home the Swarovski prizes for wom- enswear and accessories, re- spectively. On the guys’ side of things, Swarovski winner Shayne Oliver of Hood by Air had almost as many let- ters stenciled on the back of his head-HBA-as he uttered words on stage. Tom Ford, who received the menswear award, and is a little more practiced at these things, remembered his 15 minutes at this venue last year. “I’m so glad to know that there is life after the Lifetime Achievement Award.” We couldn’t leave out fash- ion’s favorite social media app. Picking up the Media Award and giving a shout- out to Kim Kardashian West (34.8m followers), Kevin Systrom (1.1m) said, “I may be the CEO, but Kim, you are the queen of Instagram.”
