Studying a Language also improves your skills in English and other subjects. Languages DO NOT get scaled down for ATAR.
4. Why Study Languages? All language subjects contribute to your ATAR for entrance into university. While at university you can chose to do an exchange program and apply for a special scholarship to travel to another country and speak in your chosen language. Knowing a language is useful in a wide variety of jobs, including in tourism, hospitality, engineering, economics and business as many companies are multi-national.
