Why Project Management?
• Gartner Study
In 2015 Gartner was hired to perform an evaluation of the
County’s regulatory services. One of the recommendations that
came out of the evaluation was to expand Project Management
functions and philosophy to improve service delivery.
• What is Project Management?
Is the application of knowledge, skills, and techniques to project
activities in order to meet stakeholder needs and expectations
from a project.

Program
-To facilitate an environment of mutual cooperation that results in
a cohesive, predictable and efficient development process to
meet stakeholder’s needs and expectations from a project.
-Establish a baseline schedule that includes all facets of the
development program. All stakeholders will be accountable for
the schedule.

The purpose of the Communications Plan is to guide the Project Team to
effectively share information. For communication to be effective it needs to
be timely, complete and directed to the right audience.
