The bus :
Runs to the centre of town every 20-30 minutes
A bus service also operates from the airport to Westbahnhof and Südbahnhof train
stations approximately once an hour between the hours (cost : EUR 6 or EUR 5 with
Vienna Card)
The train :
Trains run every 30 minutes from the airport, via the S-Bahn line S7 in half hour
to the middle of the city
A single ticket will cost approximately EUR 3
The taxis :
quite expensive from the airport. Expect to pay at least EUR30 for the 30-minute
journey into the city
All taxis are metered although fixed charges apply to certain destinations and the
driver may not activate the meter
Ask the cost when you get in
A "driver return" charge may be levied should you take a cab from the city to the
airport on departure

The popular Vienna Card (EUR16.90) allows 72 hours of travel (excluding night
buses)

Airport : Salzburg WA Mozart International Airport situated just west of the city,
approx 3km from the centre
The buses :
Bus 77 runs from the airport to Sudtirolerplatz in the city centre from 06h30-
23h00, leaving roughly every 15 minutes
A ticket costs EUR1.80 one-way and the journey should take no more than 25
minutes
Bus 2 runs between the airport and the railway station every 15 minutes from
05h30-23h15 (less frequent on Sundays).
The journey takes around 20 minutes.
The Salzburg Card, which entitles you to free public transport, is not available at
the airport, meaning that you will have to pay for your inbound journey separately
Tickets can be bought on board the bus
The taxis :
A taxi from the airport should take around 15 minutes, and is rather more
convenient should you have large amounts of luggage
Taxis leave from right outside the arrivals hall
expect to pay around EUR12-14 for the journey

The buses :
Buses are all single-deckers, and the majority run on the overhead electric cables
that criss-cross the street.
Twin hubs of the Südtirolerplatz is in front of the train station and F-
Hanuschplatz is on the left bank in the old town.
Bus tickets cost EUR1.70 for a single journey.
You can pay the driver as you board and he will dispense your ticket.
The purchase of a Salzburg card however entitles you to free public transport for its
duration.
If you have possession of a valid card simply board the bus at the middle or back
doors, there's no need to show your pass to the driver.
The Trains :
Due to Salzburg's central location, it offers excellent railway connections from
around Austria. The railway line between Munich and Salzburg is one of the most
beautiful in the world.
Situated on the Rechtes Salzachufer near to Südtirolerplatz.
Local trains are of limited use to tourists.
