A selection of work by Ev Beard using pastels primarily, glass paints and clay. Part of the proceeds from the sale of his limited edition prints of 'Joe in Quiet Contemplation' taken from a painting of a western lowland gorilla is donated to conservation.

Painted in pastels with the subtle
addition of flowers to provide a warm
ambience.

8. The Dude
A sculpted piece produced in
clay, demonstrating the easy
transition to 3D by the artist after
many years of working in 2D.

9. My Space Mural (a)
A mural incorporating a mosaic and clay panels produced on plywood
as part of a project commissioned by Birmingham City Council.

10. My Space Mural (b)
The mural was commissioned as a community project with residents
at the sheltered housing scheme, where it is situated, participating in
its creation.

11. Tara Awaiting Dusk
A pastel painting of Tara the leopard, a
former resident of Linton
Zoo, Cambridgeshire.
A keen conservationist, Ev has
supported institutions that are part of
the International Breeding Program
that preserves wildlife for future
generations.

12. Tree Tops

element – the tree tops part of their
environment rapidly disappearing,
threatening the existence of these
endearing and intelligent primates.

western lowland gorilla, who resided
at Twycross Zoo, reproduced from an
original pastel painting. The artist
donates part of the proceedings from
the sale of the prints to conservation.
