Meridiem is a game all about choices and whether or not it actually matters. With trying to take down enemies and level up to become more and more powerful. Where time is somewhat important in that saving a town on the brink of destruction in the morning is not the same as the night. Also Finding weapons that really aid you team can be vital that your team has weapons that match their fighting style and skills. Travelling is another important part of the world of meridiem with their being 1000 towns and a lot of distance in-between different ones. While a player only needs to have gone through the 100 plot necessary towns to complete the game to encourage 100 percent completion. This game also as stated before includes a lot of choices these choices aren’t “prompts” but more naturally made decisions in the actions the player makes. Leading to hopefully an enjoyable game.
3. DESCRIPTION OF MERIDIEM
Meridiem is a game all about choices and whether or not it actually matters. With
trying to take down enemies and level up to become more and more powerful.
Where time is somewhat important in that saving a town on the brink of destruction
in the morning is not the same as the night. Also Finding weapons that really aid you
team can be vital that your team has weapons that match their fighting style and
skills. Travelling is another important part of the world of meridiem with their being
1000 towns and a lot of distance in-between different ones. While a player only

5. STORY OF MERIDIEM
The story of Meridiem follows the adventures of Aaron Baker. Lives in your regular average mega
future city. However dark and maleficent creatures (called Nightpods) bore there way through and
begin destroying his city. As his town is turned to rubble his family is caught up in the destruction
and killed. The game picks up 4 years after this with Aaron Baker finally given the opportunity to
stop the Nightpods that torment the people of earth. He learns that after accidentally consuming
one of the monsters that it gives incredibly increased strength and speed. It also makes him a little
angrier with the ability to shoot purple flames out of his hands. The game then goes off on his
quest as he increases his power over time. He is joined by an assassin by the name of Bethany
Wind, and an amazing inventor named Edwin Eustace. Aaron goes from town trying to finally find
the origin spot of the invasion(Aaron’s Hometown). Till finally facing the leader/defender of the
Nightpods. Finally to make him and the player to make their final decision.
7. RULES OF MERIDIEM (REVISED)
1. Destroying Nightpods
2. More Nightpods destroyed = more powerful
3. Deciding to consume a Nightpod allows Aaron to have a power increase
more than normal
4. Deciding to consume a Nightpod may have side effects such as unable to
control a certain amount of decision moments. Also could cause rampages
of inability to control abilities
5. Deciding not to consume a Nightpod yields in losing a very little bit of
power however there is no risk of side effects
6. Both heroes and enemies have health bars showing how much more
damage one could take
7. Real time battle
8. Characters generally balance each other out
9. Single – player
10. Online hints are there
11. Massive Open world
12. Towns can be destroyed if avoided
8. RULES OF MERIDIEM (REVISED) CONT.
13. Movement is via a controller
14. It’s in a 3rd person perspective
15. Many dif. Weapons available
16. Weapons are found in different towns and cities around the globe.
17. There are around 1000 towns
18. Only 100 are needed before defeating the final boss
19. Many more powerful weapons are available in distant areas
20. Side-quests can open up new areas
21. Some Nightpods actually completely change form during night vs. the
day.
22. First person is an option.
12. AARON BAKER
Main character of Meridiem and is able to
keep a smile even when things get
intense. However his ability slowly
corrupts him and destroys him from the
inside. Making it somewhat essential to
making it through the game. However it
is possible to survive without being
corrupted but also is very difficult.
13. BETHANY WIND
An ex assassin that decides to aide Aaron.
She is very skilled with long range combat
however she is capable of melee combat
as well. Her main weapon is a bow&arrow
with transformation capabilities. This
reflecting Bethany’s ability to adjust to any
situation an knowledge of many fighting
styles.
14. EDWIN EUSTACE
Very useful and tactical. Edwin upgrades weapons. Edwin
also has a wide variety of weapons for himself. He also has a
giant robot that allows him to have a very large amount of
strength and defense.
15. NIGHTPODS
Very volatile spontaneous violent creatures.
Intelligence varies greatly as does strength.
There are many different kinds of nightpods.
They become more volatile and dangerous
during the night and more powerful also in
more masses making night travel dangerous.
16. WEAPONS There’s a wide variety
of weapons that the
characters can use. All
of these items help the
Characters along. All
items/weapons are
interchangeable
between characters.
However some
weapons will work
better with certain
characters than others.
Making sure on plays
to these advantages
will help greatly when
facing more difficult
bosses.
18. TOWNS
I would like towns to be very mid
1600th century-esk housing and
clothes. Jarring against the very
futuristic tools and items. This due
to mostly buildings were
destroyed and the oppression of
the Nightpods, it made simple
houses necessary. With a wide
variety of towns there are more
futuristic houses however the
more futuristic a town is the more
deserted it is likely to be due to
radiation/weather/etc.
There are also areas in-between
towns however those have not
been designed just yet.
