Villavicencio. We will then all travel together to Taytay, Rizal
Adjournment and meet up with our sister club RC Metro East and distribute
Pres. Jing Sarao the goods. To cover the expenses, we shall all donate P1,000
each, the excess of which will be donated to RC Metro East. I

octoBER The MAPSA awarding ceremonies today will be composed of 3
03 Erwyn Alcomendras awardees namely: T/O Genilen Davis, T/O Aquilino Vilchez, Jr
and T/O Tabaquero Arthur. With the exception of last year, our
24 Prim de Guzman club has consistently given recognition to deserving public
servants from Makati since the term of PP Celia Cuasay in 1993
with PDG Leo de Guzman.
INVOCATION
Dear Father, we thank you for the power of your Holy Spirit that saved thousands of
lives in spite of the onslaught of destructive typhoons. We lift up to you all those
who perished, may they find eternal repose in heaven. Heal those who are injured
physically, emotionally, financially as a consequence of Mother Nature’s wrath.
We ask for your loving protection as we face the challenge of Climate Change around
Asia Pacific region especially our beloved country. Amen.

“Gunting Para sa
Kabuhayan”
Friday, September 18, 2009 at the Index Training Center,
Estrella St. San Antonio Village, Makati.
The program was designed to train people of all
ages on the skills of hair grooming, coloring,
foot spa, nail polishing and massage.
Business aspects were discussed for attendees
to establish their business careers along hair
grooming.
RCMSL was one of the lead clubs. The
program started on Sep 14 and will last till Sep
19.
BULLETIN BOARD
We will once again have an exciting month ahead. October as you all know is a month
celebrated following German tradition. Octoberfest on the 16th of this month, will be
orchestrated by District Governor Sid Garcia to be held at the McKinley Hills in Taguig. And of
course let us all enjoy our bottles of beer.
On October 20, a Tuesday, there will be an “Enchanted Evening”, a night of music, songs and
dances at the Polo Club orchestrated by Rotary Club of Makati, our District Governor’s club.
On October 28, the District will launch “On to Montreal” to be held at the Makati Sports Club.
Those interested to travel to Canada, this will be an opportune time.
Our October birthday celebrants are: PP Erwyn Alcomendras and Prim de Guzman. We will
have a fellowship night during the month in celebration of their birthdays.

Corps Conference

This program is designed to create
community corps to assist on-going Rotary
programs. RCMSL’s RCC is established in
Calawis, Antipolo to assist our club in
carrying out our 3H Grant commitments.
Three officers from Calawis RCC attended
the meeting and were formally inducted.

friends traveled to
Batangas. We
participated in the
interaction with
settlers from Pasig
River, viewed
handicrafts done by
out of school youths,
vermi-culture project
and viewed all other
structures. Pres. Jing
Sarao was asked to
give an inspiration talk
to the settlers. The
club donated P50
thousand to the Pasig
River project.

RCMSL members organized themselves and
immediately prepared relief goods for the
typhoon victims located in Taytay, Rizal as a
response to the call from sister club RC Metro
East Taytay. The team worked in earnest on
September 29, Tuesday at the residence of PP
Maridel Villavicencio together with PP Erwyn
Alcomendras, Dir. Marie O’Connor and Dir.
Shelley Lazaro.
