3. INPUT Input is what goes into the computer. Most are necessary for the computer to function Example: Keyboard, Mouse, etc…

4. OUTPUT Output is what goes/comes out of the computer. Example : Scanner, Printer, Monitor, etc…

5. MEMORY Memory is the storage system of the computer. RAM and ROM are both forms of memory. RAM - Random Access Memory ROM - Read Off Memory Example: Hard Drive, MBRAM, CD-ROMs etc…

6. PROCESSING Processing is how the computer understands the information, or basically uses it. Example : Human processing, seeing a math problem, going Over the math problem in your head, then solving.

7. Fetch Fetch is the process of the computer retrieving information. Example: Playing fetch with a dog.

8. Decode Decoding is breaking down the information Example: Simplifying a math problem.

9. Execute Execute is activating the program. Turning on a mp3 player, microwave, etc… basically pressing the “ON” button
