This project created a central Linux server to collect and store system logs from computers running Unix-based operating systems in a MySQL database. The server uses syslog-ng to accept logs and log them directly into the database, allowing any log to be easily searched and found with basic MySQL queries. The project involved setting up a Kubuntu Linux server with syslog-ng and a MySQL database, and configuring Linux and Mac machines to send their logs to this central server.
