2. What is Social Bookmarking? Social Bookmarking sites were created for online users to share, gather, organize, and search for information. This is done through bookmarking, or flagging resources for future use. Think of it like bookmarking a page in a book…you aren't copying all the information so you can read it later or share it with a friend, you are marking the spot so you can return to the same page. There is so much information on the internet, sometimes it’s hard to remember where you left off!
3. What’s so “delicious” about it? A delicious history (Delicious.com) Originally called del.icio.us, this site is a owned site that allows users to share and “tag” items. 6. So delicious… but is it easy? Is it safe? What about all of my other saved bookmarks? Do not fear, my friends… I know having the easy access to sites from a bookmarked tab is convenient and easy, but luckily Delicious knows this too. You can import your existing bookmarks easily by following the instructions under the “settings” tab on the site. I don’t want strangers having access to what I look at online! Again, no worries! Unlike some “social” sites, you get to be only as social as you want. You can bookmark for yourself, or share sites with a few, or even share with the whole world. Who knew bookmarking could be so…delicious?
