• A single consortium led by Innovate UK running the Enterprise
Europe Network in England, Northern Ireland and Wales
• 21 partners - c.130 full time people
• A step change in delivery of services linking local, national,
European and international
• Close alignment with Network partners in Scotland and Ireland

internationalisation priorities
Specifically to: ”identify priorities in
innovation and internationalisation for
LEPs in England and Devolved
Administrations in Wales and Northern
Ireland”

Innovation is a substantive priority in the SEPs
A priority in 44% of SEPs, and part of a broader priority in the rest
Key innovation themes (in SEPs and ESIFs)
Building on current assets to improve reputation for innovation
Developing infrastructure
Knowledge transfer and business networks (B2B, business-research)
Financial instruments
Skills for innovation
Somewhat smaller focus on internationalisation
A priority in 28% of SEPs, and part of a broader priority for 44% of SEPs
Limited/no priority in 28%
