Responsibility
ï· It is unethical to provide a project schedule that you do not believe to be accurate.
ï· Make decisions based on the best interests of the company and the team, as well as society.
ï· Only accept assignments you are qualified to complete.
ï· Make sure the sponsor knows of any gaps in your qualifications before accepting the
assignment.
ï· Acknowledge your own errors.
ï· If you witness or are aware of unethical behavior, hold the owner accountable first. If he or
she continues, report it o management and to those the behavior affects.
ï· There should be no violation to the fundamental rights. For example, any discrimination
treatment should be strongly denied.
ï· PM must bid on only projects for which his or her employer has relevant expertise and skills.
Respect
ï· Consider that the reputation of each of your team members is in your hands.
ï· Consider that how well the project goes will reflect on their careers.
Fairness
ï· Continuously look for conflicts of interest and disclose them.
ï· Conflict of Interest â a situation in which the concerns or aims of two different parties are
incompatible. It also refers to the situation in which a person is in a position to derive personal
benefit from actions or decisions made in their official capacity. A seller who is a friend or
relative to the project manager is an example. Having lunch with the proposed seller is
another example.
Honesty
ï· Be truthful.
