2. Yamna's Idea
• My story is about a teenage couple who had a child at a
young age and gave it away into care. 10 years later the
couple were still together and had become extremely
successful, they had another child a girl who was very
loved and quite spoilt. The abandoned child tries to look
for his birth parents hoping they would invite him in the
family (he had a very hard life being thrown around
everywhere) he discovers that they weren't planning on
having more kids so he feels left out. He decides to take
revenge on his sister and parents and dresses up as a
clown to terrorise them.
3. Sajida's Idea
• My idea essentially focuses on a girl that is sleeping on the sofa and
in her sleep she reveals numerous flashbacks of how she got to where
she is and why she is laying on the sofa resting. However all of a
sudden she wakes up because she can hear her mothers music box
playing and then decides to go and see what is happening. She arrives
in her room and picks up the music box and reminisces about her
mother as she has passed away. The girl begins to think that there is
someone behind her and there is. She panics and then rings her
friends and they come to see how she is and establish that no one was
in the house and whoever the girl saw was non existent and she was
just hallucinating. The ending of this portrays that it was not a
hallucination and she has evidence to prove that there was someone
behind her and he is arrested and turns out to be her long lost brother.
4. Ellen's Idea
A Synonym for captive
My trailer idea was about someone keeping young people as hostages for a year and 9 months. However one of them has escaped. There's a
man in control of all of this and instead of men working for him, women in mask work for him.
It starts with a girl with cuts and bruises on her face and neck walking down an empty street wearing a stained top and normal blue jeans in
socks. She looks confused and traumatized. The sunlight is blinding, she puts her hand up to block the sun on her face like she’s never been
outside before. She sees a man across the street with his back to her, crouching on the ground looking at something.
She walks up to him desperately, “Excuse me!”
The man doesn’t turn around.
There's then an Echoic sound bridge; “please help me”.
They'll be flashes of action ( For example; flash of girls tapped to chairs in a row in a kitchen and a Flash of Knives lined on counter.)
“How did you get out?” the man says calmly(voice over)
"what do you mean? she replies. He turns around. The audience don’t see his face. He slowly gets up.
(Another series of action; Flash of screaming girls tapped mouths and rope tied completely on the bodies, wiggling on the ground trying to
scream for help.)
She notices there’s a dead girl on the ground by his feet. She backs away, speechless, tears start forming and horror is on her face.
She screams a clear plastic bag is put over her head.
(Cuts to black)(Echoic Voice over “Eeny, meeny, miny, moe” whisper.)
(Flash of girls arguing about how to get out trapped in an empty room.
Someone in a balaclava has her back to audience, sitting drinking wine while watching, and blows out a match stick. Flash of fire and a
girl’s face nearly being burnt and screaming, two girls in balaclavas holding her over the flame.)
5. Elena's Idea
• My narrative idea of the film would focus on a woman who has a mental disorder that
doesn’t allow her to control her actions. Everything starts one night when she suddenly
wakes up and tries to kill her husband by suffocating him with a pillow but he wakes up in
time to stop her. Shortly after, she manages to come out and realises what she was about to
do but at the same time she is very confused as she isn’t sure what is happening and why she
acted like that. She assumes she might’ve been sleep walking and goes back to sleep. A few
days after, she blacks out again and picks up a knife that she stabs into a picture of her
family. She then wakes up again and realises that there is something wrong going on. These
things keep happening until she loses control over her actions and remains trapped in her
own body without being able to come out. She keeps hearing voices in her head but can’t do
anything to stop them. Her family decides to put her into mental health hospital as they think
she would get treated and maybe come back to normal, however in the middle of the night
she finds herself in her house and killing her husband for putting her in hospital and then
going to kill the rest of her family and friends who agreed to put her in there. We then realise
that she is being possessed as we see her arguing with the voice in her head as she tries to
stop herself from committing those crimes and killing everything she ever loved. At the end,
we see her holding a knife, about to kill herself and that is how the film ends, not showing
the audience what is going to happen next.
