Cold Storage
A
cold storage is a temperature-
controlled supply chain network,
with storage and distribution activities
carried out in a manner such that the temperature
of a product is maintained in a speciied range,
needed to keep it fresh and edible for a much longer
period than in normal ambient conditions. This system
facilitates long distance transport of various products as
well as makes seasonal products available over the entire
year. Fruits, vegetables and many other commodities can be
preserved by storage at low temperature, which retards the
activities of microorganisms.
Indian cold storage market is expected to grow at
a CAGR of 16.09% by 2020 driven by the growth in the
organized retail, Indian
fast food market, and
food processing
industry. Cold
storage market
in India is
e x p e c t e d
to be worth
US$ 8.57
billion by
2020. The cold
storage market
in India is highly
fragmented with more than 3500
players in the unorganized sector
and around 30 players in the organized sector. India currently
has 6156 cold storage facilities across various states with
total capacity of 28.68 MMT which is insu?cient. As a
whole there is a good scope for new entrepreneur to invest
in this business.
Namkeens (Dalmoth, Bhujia,
Chana Chur and Khatta Meetha)
A
Namkeen is seen in western culture as a type
of food that is not meant to be eaten as part of
the main meals of the day (breakfast, lunch, and
diner). Rather, the food is intended as a namkeen something
to temporarily tide a persons hunger and provides a brief
supply of energy for the body. Namkeen are designed to
be less perishable, more durable, and more appealing than
natural foods. Dal Moth, Chanachur, Bhujia & Khatta
Meetha are the important names enhancing the lavour, &
taste and processed foods. These are food products having
no historical background & becomes in market and in social
& cultural synonym as the society became more advanced.
The market of ready-to-eat namkeens is
estimated at more than Rs.50,000
crore, having grown at a
compounded annual growth
rate of around 13%
since 1998 till 2014
and expected to grow
at a CAGR of 22%
during 2014-2019.
India is the world’s
second largest producer
of food next to China,
and has the potential of
being the biggest with the
food and agricultural sector.
This facilitates the development of
new technologies and ensures a high quality
product.
Aluminium Cables and Conductors
from Molten Aluminium Metal/
Aluminium Ingots
A
cable is deined as the set of conductors, insulators,
sheaths and armor protection or shielding,
speciically built to carry the current both for
energy transportation and for signal transmission. Cables
are mainly used for power transmission and distribution
purpose. Aluminium cables can often be found when
dealing with electricity, because of their high conductive
nature. These cables are ductile, light weight, non-magnetic
and are perfect for heavy-duty applications.
The wires and cables market in India is led by ive major
players including Polycab wires, Sterlite technologies,
Finolex cables, KEI Industries and Havells India, who
cover around ~% of organized market for wires and cables.

Zinc Oxide from Zinc Dross
Z
inc oxide is an inorganic compound with the
formula ZnO. ZnO is a white powder that is
insoluble in water, and it is widely used as an
additive in numerous materials and products including
rubbers, plastics, ceramics, glass, cement etc. Zinc dross
is obtained from the recovery of zinc. The zinc types
may be recovered from galvanized sheets, batteries, car
components, galvanizing processes, etc. The process for
zinc oxide manufacture can be roughly divided into two
types, the direct processes and the indirect processes. The
direct methods use zinc ores as a source of zinc and the
product is commonly referred to as American process. The
indirect method use zinc metal as the raw materials and the
product is known as French process.
Zinc oxide (ZnO) has a very good market and it is a
growth oriented product and demand is over increasing in the
country as well as abroad various industries consuming zinc
oxide are in manufacturing, paint, paper, cosmetic, crockery,
plastic, petroleum etc. The market size of zinc oxide in
terms of value is projected
to reach USD 4,184.5
million by 2020,
and the global
market size
for zinc oxide
is projected
to register a
CAGR of 6.0%
between 2015 to
2020. As a whole
there is a good scope
for new entrepreneur to
invest in this business.
Engineering College
“The nation’s competitiveness depends, in part, on
the skills of tomorrow’s engineers.”
A
s the saying goes, there is need of engineering
college in India for the development of country
and provide better opportunity. Engineering is
concerned with doing, realizing and implementing thongs.
Thus, the aim of future engineering education should be
the integration of knowledge, skills, understanding and
experience. For economic growth and prosperity, the need
is to produce highly professional and competent engineers.
This could be achieved by imparting quality teaching
to students. Towards this, some norms and standards of
engineering education need to be laid
down so as to educate the
students with appropriate
skills suitable for a
rapidly changing
industrial scenario.
If we consider
e m p l o y m e n t
available versus
Engineer, there is no
vacant space among the
all engineers output from
the existence engineering
college. Now a day’s majority
of engineers work as administrator
not as engineer. Entrepreneurs who invest in this project
will be successful
Poultry Feed
P
oultry feed is food for farm poultry, including
chickens, ducks, geese and other domestic birds.
Healthy poultry require a su?cient amount
of protein and carbohydrates, along with the necessary
vitamins, dietary minerals, and an adequate supply of
water. Lactose-fermentation of feed can aid in supplying
vitamins and minerals to poultry. Egg laying hens require
4 grams per day of calcium of which 2 grams are used in
the egg. Oyster shells are often used
as a source of dietary
calcium. Certain
diets also
require the
use of grit,
tiny rocks
such as
pieces of
g r a n i t e ,
in the feed.
The feed must
remain clean and
dry; contaminated feed
can infect poultry.
India’s demand for compound feed is expected to rise
28 million tonnes by 2017-18. The market is expected to
grow from USD XX billion in 2016, to USD XXX Billion
market by 2022, growing at a CAGR of over 2.7% during
the forecast period.
The globally poultry feed market is projected to
generate revenues worth $252,036.2 million and poultry
feed additives is projected to generate $7,829.8 million by
2018 growing at a CAGR of 6.1% and 6.0 % respectively
by 2018. Which facilitates the development of new
technologies and ensure a high quality product.
Tempering and Toughening of
Flat Glass
T
oughened glass is a type of soda-lime-silica glass
with a sheet thickness 4-12 mm. The sheet has a
central tensile stress of 500-1200 kg/cm2 and a
ratio of surface compressive stress to central tensile stress
of 2:1 to 4:1. Toughened or tempered glass is a type of
safety glass processed by controlled thermal or chemical
treatments to increase its strength compared with normal
glass. Tempered glass is made from normal annealed glass
via a thermal tempering process in which the glass is
subjected to heat till its softening point and then rapidly
cooled. This increases the strength of the glass. A
fully tempered glass is 4 to 5 times stronger than
an annealed glass of similar thickness.
The total market of glass was valued at
Rs. 60 bn with 80% supplied by domestic
producers. The industry is growing at around
8% per annum. Consumption per capita of
glass in India is only about 0.8 kg compared
to 3.5 kg in China, 5.2 kg in Thailand, 12 kg in
Malaysiaand2.5kginIndonesia.Thetotalorganised
producers in the glass market have a turnover estimated
at over Rs. 40 bn, represented by a fairly large number of
suppliers. The global market for lat glass is approximately
62 mn tonne (0.2 mn per day), the market is growing at

Invert Sugar Syrup
I
nvert sugar (syrup) is an edible mixture of sugars made
by heating up table sugar (sucrose) with water. As
invert sugar is thought to be sweeter than table sugar
and foods that contain it hold in moisture and crystallize
less easily, bakers, who call it invert syrup, may use it more
than other sweeteners. Invert sugar (C12H24O12) is a
mixture of glucose and fructose obtained by the hydrolysis
of sucrose. Cane sugar comes
from sugarcane. Invert
Syrup contains
equal proportions
of the invert
( r e d u c i n g )
sugars: glucose
and fructose.
It has wide
application and
is particularly
useful where high
concentrations of invert
sugars are required.
The requirement for invert sugar
syrup has been on the rise in India. There is a gradual reali-
zation among both bakers and honey makers that it is almost
impossible to achieve the same quality of invert sugar using
in-house production. The global liquid sugar market is
segmented based on type, application, and geography. The
inverted sugar syrup segment is expected to grow at a faster
rate comparatively due to its extensive application in non-
alcoholic refreshing beverages. As a whole you can invest in
this project without risk and earn proit.
Banana, Onion, Orange and

T
he fruit & vegetable powders are specialized
foods that have extremely high concentration of
vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients. They make
a great addition to smoothies and other recipes. Dehydrated
vegetable and fruit powders are more practical than their
fresh counterparts for food manufacturing. They have a
longer shelf life and some powders like are packed with
essential vitamins and minerals. While powders are high
in demand, the problem is that most of them exist with
bland lavors and colors. This is extraction, processing, and
storage.
Onion powder is considered to offer enhanced taste
and better texture owing to which it has become an
essential ingredient in a number of applications in the

motivation for coating dosage forms range from
cosmetic considerations (colour, gloss), improving the
stability (light protection, moisture and gas barrier)
and making it easier to swallow the tablet. In addition,
functional coatings can be used to modify the drug release
behaviour from the dosage form. A ilm coating is a thin

C
urcumin is the main biologically active
phytochemical compound of Turmeric. Molecular
chemical formula of Curcumin: C21H20O6.
The most important constituents in organic turmeric are
Curcuminoids, which is approximately 6%, and the yellow
coloring principles of which Curcumin constitutes 50-
60%. Curcumin is a water-soluble orange-yellow coloured
powder. Today, India is the primary exporter of turmeric
(known as haldi in India). Curcumin is
one of three curcuminoids of
turmeric. The other two
curcuminoids are

Ethyl and Butyl Acetate
E
thyl and butyl acetates are solvents used
in surface coatings, inks, lavorings and
pharmaceuticals, and other applications.
Ethyl acetate (systematically ethyl ethanoate,
commonly abbreviated EtOAc or EA) is the organic
compound with the formula CH3

O2
. This
colorless liquid has a
characteristic sweet
smell (similar to
pear drops) and is
used in glues, nail
polish removers,
decafeinating tea
and cofee, and
cigarettes. Ethyl
acetate is the ester
of ethanol and acetic
acid; it is manufactured
on a large scale for use as
a solvent.
Demand for alkyl acetates in India
looks promising, as it is expected to have strong growth in
domestic consumption and exports during 2015–20. The
Global Ethyl Acetate Market is growing with the rapid
pace; mainly due to the expanding automotive and
construction industries. The market is forecasted
to demonstrate a stunning growth by 2027,
surpassing its previous growth records in
terms of value with a striking CAGR during
the estimated period (2017 – 2027). Thus,
due to demand it is best to invest in this
project.
Potato Powder, Granules
and Pellets
P
otato powder is increasingly being used in a
variety of food preparations like snack foods,
soups, curries and other dishes as a thickening
agent. Potato Granules are created during a process where
the potato cells remain almost intact, which leads to a very
low proportion of starch. Potato Granules can be soluble at
high temperatures when use as a thickening agent. Potato
pellets are intermediate non-expanded products made with
raw materials potatoes. These
semi-inished products
are generally sold
to snack manu-
facturers.
India Potato
production is
likely to be
lower at close to
100 lakh tonne

from 110 lakh tonne
in 2017. Revenue in the
Potato Products segment
amounts to US$3405m in 2018. The
market is expected to grow annually
by 6.5 % (CAGR 2018-2021). From an international
perspective it is shown that most revenue is generated in the
United States (US$9,504m in 2018). As a whole there is a
good scope for new entrepreneur to invest in this business.

Baby Diaper and Sanitary
Napkins
A
diaper or nappy is a kind of underwear that allows
one to defecate or urinate in a discreet manner.
Most materials in the diaper are held together
with the use of a hot melt adhesive which is applied in spray
form or multi lines, an elastic hot melt is also used to help
with pad integrity when the diaper is wet. Sanitary napkin,
a universally needed product, has very low penetration in
India and other developing countries, partly due to its high
price and partly due to the tradition of using cheaper but
unhygienic old cloth piece.
As a result they become the host of many infectious
diseases. This is due to lack of awareness and economic
inability for adopting better precautions like use of good
sanitary napkins during menstruation period.
The Baby Diaper market is expected to reach around
INR 200 Billion by 2022, growing at a double digit CAGR
over the forecasted period 2017-2022. According to “India
Diaper Market Outlook, 2021”, India’s diaper market was
growing with a CAGR of 22.23% over past ive years.
India feminine hygiene market grew with a CAGR of about

of nutritive saccharide obtained by starch hydrolysis, by
using Corn and Rice as raw material, which is puriied and
concentrated to required solids. It is usually odorless and
clear yellow colored viscous liquid sweet syrup which is
processed and stored under hygienic conditions.
Broken rice is the by-product of rice mill. It has various
uses out of which one use is to prepare liquid glucose from
broken rice. About 90% of the liquid glucose produced
in India is consumed by the confectionery industry. Its

Grape Wine
W
ine can be made from grapes, fruits, berries etc.
Most wine, though, is made from grapes. And
no matter what the wine is made from, there
must be fermentation, that is, that sugar be transformed into
alcohol. If the amount of alcohol is relatively low, the result
is wine. If it is high, the result is “distilled liquor,” like gin or
vodka. White wines can be made from pigmented grapes by
removal of skins, pulp and
seeds before juice

Dehydrated Vegetables,
Mushroom and Soup
D
ehydrating vegetables once dehydrated,
they take very little room to store.
Nutrients aren’t destroyed as they are
with canning. Nothing is spoiled. And dehydrated
vegetables can store for years. Most vegetables can
be dehydrated; some require blanching irst, but for
many vegetables, prep is as simple as chopping or slicing.
Dehydration is the process of removing water or moisture
from a food product.
Removing moisture from foods makes them smaller
and lighter. The dried and preserved vegetables market of
India is expected to grow at a CAGR
of 16% by the year 2020. The
supportive agro-climatic
conditions, potential
domestic market, cost
competitiveness,
and government
support are some
of the key factors
which will drive the
growth of this industry.
The rising demand
of seasonal vegetables
across the year is supporting
the growth of Dehydrated
Vegetable market during the forecast period.
Entrepreneurs who invest in this project will be successful.
Mango Pulp with Cold Storage
M
ango Pulp is prepared from selected varieties
of Fresh Mango Fruit. Fully matured Mangoes
are harvested, quickly transported to the fruit
processing plant, inspected and washed. Selected high
quality fruits go to the controlled ripening chambers; Fully
Ripened Mango fruits are then
washed, blanched, pulped,
deseeded, centrifuged,
homogenized, concen-
trated when required,
thermally processed
and aseptically illed
maintaining sterility.
As mango is a
seasonal fruit, about
20% of fruits are
processed for products
such as puree, nectar, leather,
pickles, canned slices, and chutney.
These products experience worldwide
popularity and have also gained importance in national and
international market. The export of Senegal’s mangoes has
greatly increased over the years. From 8,500 tons about 3
years ago and today we are exporting about 16,500 tons.
LPG Cylinder Refilling Plant
L
iqueied Petroleum Gas is a Propane
/ Butane mixture liqueied under
normal ambient temperature and
moderate pressures. It is a safe, clean burning,
reliable, high caloriic value fuel. The detailed
design of illing plants, and the associated
cylinder illing equipment, should be undertaken
by an appropriate supplier based on the required
performance speciication. The basic operations
undertaken in the illing plant and maintenance areas e.g.
cylinder inspection, cylinder illing, leak testing, checks
to ensure no overilling, cylinder evacuation and vapor
recovery, re-valving, cylinder requaliication, maintenance
and repair of cylinders, grit blasting, painting, etc.
Application of LPG in the industrial sector is also
increasing, owing to growing use of LPG as a feedstock
in petrochemical plants in the country. Moreover, rising
demand from transport segment and increasing consumption
of LPG to produce various chemical components such as
propylene, ethylene, butadiene, etc., is further anticipated

Match Box (Automatic Plant)
A
match is a small stick of wood or strip of cardboard
with a solidiied mixture of lammable chemicals
deposited on one end. When that end is struck on
a rough surface, the friction generates enough heat to ignite
the chemicals and produce a small lame. Some matches,
called strike-anywhere matches, may be ignited by striking
them on any rough surface. Other matches, called safety
matches, will ignite only when they are struck on a
special rough surface containing certain chemicals. A
match is a tool for starting a ire. Typically, modern
matches are made of small wooden sticks or stif
paper. One end is coated with a material that can be
ignited by frictional heat generated by striking the
match against a suitable surface. Wooden matches are
packaged in matchboxes, and paper matches are partially
cut into rows and stapled into matchbooks. The coated end
of a match, known as the match “head”, contains either
phosphorus or phosphorus
sesquisulide as the
active ingredient
and gelatin as a
binder. There are
two main types
of matches:
safety matches,
which can be
struck only
against a specially
prepared surface, and
strike-anywhere matches,
for which any suitably frictional
surface can be used. Some match-like compositions, known
as electric matches, are ignited electrically and do not make
use of heat from friction.
Wooden match production in India is split into
three sectoral categories: the mechanized large-scale
sector; the handmade small-scale sector; and the
cottage sector. 82% of total match production is in
the handmade small-scale (67%) and cottage (15%)
sectors, where technology has remained relatively
simple. These two non-mechanized sectors of the match
industry are distinguished primarily by output size. As a
whole it is a good project for entrepreneurs to invest.
Rigid Polyvinyl Chloride (RPVC)
Pipes
P
VC pipes are made out of a material known as
polyvinyl chloride, a durable, strong plastic-
like substance. Pipes are constructed from this
material and used in various applications from plumbing
to construction. The pipe is designed
to be universal. All
pipes are designed
around speciic
requirements
to ensure that
multiple pipe
sections will
it together.
The ends of the
pipe can either be
smooth or grooved
(similar to a screw).
Additionally, there
are several diferent pipe
sizes ranging from very small (one-
fourth inch) to very large. Currently, PVC piping counts for
the majority of plumbing in the U.S. and is the preferred
standard for new construction.
Rigid PVC Pipes are fast replacing the conventional
metal pipes in many applications. Use of PVC pipes as
electrical conduits is well accepted in household and
industrial activities. PVC conduits have been accepted by
all Electricity Boards. PVC pipes of diferent diameters
have gained wider acceptance for water supply. Their light
weight, low cost, easy installation, non corrosiveness, high
tensile strength to withstand high luid pressure make them
ideal for number of purposes. They also ofer resistance

NPK Complex Organic Fertilizer
Plant
F
eeding a population of 9 billion people in 2050
will rely upon the availability of plant nutrients
commensurate with the necessary increase in
productivity, the deployment of new plant and farming
technologies and the cultivation of more marginal land.
Food production has increased substantially over the 20th
century, partly because of fast yield growth. Fertilizers
are soil amendments applied to promote plant growth, the
main nutrients added in fertilizer are nitrogen, phosphorus,
potassium, other nutrients are added in smaller amounts.
Collectively, the main nutrients vital to plants by weight are
called macronutrients, including: nitrogen (N), phosphorus
(P), and potassium (K) (i.e. NP-K).
Organic fertilizer provides all the
nutrients that are required
by plants but in limited
quantities. It helps in
maintaining C:N ratio
in the soil and also
increases the fertility
and productivity of
the soil. It improves
the physical, chemical
and biological properties
of the soil. It improves
both the structure and texture
of the soils.
With increase in demand for
green products and pollution free agricultural products,
the term ‘organic’ has become an irresistible trend of
modern agriculture and is creating a buzz in the global
fertilizers market. The global market for organic fertilizer
has witnessed steady growth in the recent past owing
to government support and favorable perception among
farmers and end-users. Any entrepreneur venture into this
ield will be successful.
Sugarcane Juice Preservation
and Bottling Plant
S
ugar cane (Saccharum officinarum) originates from
New Guinea. The plant belongs to the Gramineae
(grasses) family. Sugar cane is a C4 plant with a
high rate of photosynthesis (its rate lies around 150-200%
above the average for other plants). It is a perennial crop
with a high self-tolerance. Sugarcane juice is a popular
refreshing drink in many parts of World. Often sugarcane
juice is used as a remedy for jaundice in folk medicine.
Hygienic standards are usually not maintaining edduring the
transport of sugarcane from ield to the point of extraction
and preparation of juice.Further, the juice is consumed
UN pasteurized. The juice is being extracted using
hand or power operated crusher which cannot
be stored for a couple of hours due to its fast
deteriorating quality.
Sugarcane juice is quite nutritious as it
contains natural sugars, minerals like iron,
mag-nesium, phosphorous, calcium and organic
acids e.g. malic acid, succinic acid, acotinic acid
etc. Preservation is done when Juice or food is kept
for longer period without any deteriorated or spoils the
juice by the direct contact with atmosphere. Sugarcane juice
is excellent in treating urinary related diseases. It keeps the

Fruit Juice in Aseptic Packaging
A
freshly squeezed orange or fresh pulped and
strained apple would supply a fruit juice drink
for immediate consumption, but to expect it to
maintain its quality for even a day or two was
tempting providence.
Nowadays, with the
benefit of ultra-high
temperature (UHT)
pasteurization, ase-
ptic packaging
techniques and
systems, pressed
juices can be stored for
extended periods with
very little deterioration
in quality. Previously,
reliance had to be places
upon the use of preservatives
and ‘classical’ pasteurization at lower
temperatures (70ºC+) and longer holding times. Advances
in instrumental analytical techniques have made it possible
to identify those chemicals in natural extracts (whether
of fruit or botanical origin) that provide the characteristic
lavorproile. This analytical knowledge, apart from leading
the way to ‘designer drinks’, has also served to maintain and
standardize the quality of a range of beverage types that
still base their success upon traditional fruit juice
systems.
The majority of the active flavor
components of most fruit types have been
identified (TNO-CIVO) and provide the
beverage technologist with a basis for
the addition of certain characters in the
development of a new product.
The increasing numbers of health-conscious
consumers in India, especially in the country’s
urban areas, who are more focused on functionality
and nutrition in their beverages rather than just their
thirst quenching properties and convenience, drove the
positive sales growth seen in juice in 2016.
India fruit juice based beverages market was valued at
INR billion in FY’2014 and has inclined from INR billion
in FY’2010 registering a CAGR of over 21.6% during
FY’2010-14. The growth of the market over this period has
been fueled by the growing urbanization, rising disposable
income and surging middle class. Fruit based beverages
are largely consumed by the urban population, particularly
by the middle class and upper class segment of the Indian
population. The increasing disposable income and rising
occurrences of diseases resulting from unhealthy lifestyles
have greatly impacted the growth curve of the market over
the years. The fruit-based beverages category is one of the
fastest growing categories, and has grown at a CAGR of
over 30% over the past decade. At present, the Indian
juices market is valued at INR 1100 crore (USD
200 million) and is projected to grow at a CAGR
of 15% over the next three years. Due to heavy
demand it is a good project for entrepreneurs
to invest.

structural applications ranging from component and product
prototyping to outdoor decking. Wood plastic composites
(WPCs) are roughly 50:50 mixtures of thermoplastic
polymers and small wood particles.
WPCs can be formed into almost any shape and
thus are used for a wide variety of applications,
including windows, door frames, interior panels
in cars, railings, fences, landscaping timbers,
cladding and siding, park benches, molding and
furniture. This product is part of the composites to
be named wood polymer composite (WPC), wood
iber composite (WFC), poly wood and pall wood, poly
board, wood lex, stock wood and wood plastic. WPC is
manufactured by dispersing wood particles into molten
plastic with coupling agent or additives to form composite
material through various techniques of processing such as
extrusion, compression or injection molding. The majority
of WPCs are manufactured by proile extrusion, in which
molten composite material is forced through a die to make a
continuous proile of the desired shape.
Wood plastic composites are an important and growing
segment of the forest products industry. This industry
segment has grown in double digit percentages annually for
the past decade. In NorthAmerica, the WPC market has been
dominated by rail and decking products while
in Europe more emphasis has
been placed on automotive
applications. The
wood plastic com-
posite market is
projected to grow
from $ 2579.90
million in last
year to $4,601.7
million by 2019, with
a CAGR of 12.2%.
Automotive industry
is the most crucial sector
in the Europe and accounts over
4% of European GDP. Germany dominated the premium
car production in 2015 accounting over 40% of the total
market. As a whole any entrepreneur can venture in this
project without risk and earn proit.
Nuts & Bolts (M.S. Fasteners)
A
fastener is a connective mechanism that
mechanically joins or affixes two or more objects
together. A bolt is an externally threaded fastener
designed for insertion through holes in assembled parts, and
is normally intended to be tightened or
released by torquing a nut.
A nut is a type of
hardware fastener
with a threaded
hole nuts and
bolts are manu-
factured from
alloy steels hav-
ing high tensile
strength and resistant
to continuous wear
and tear. Bolt is
cylindrical piece of metal
that fasten objects together.
Bolts and nuts can be zinc or cadmium
plating to resist corrosion. Bolt and nut are used to fasten
together loose parts mainly in industries and workshops.
Nut is device, which rolls on these threads. In nuts internal
threading is done through the combination of nuts and bolts
combination into appropriate sizes. Screw demonstrates
their true merit in smooth movements, during assembly etc.
Nuts and Bolts are available in various sizes and shapes.
The kind of the classiication of bolts and nuts may broadly
be those made by the cold and hot process plant. Nuts are
plain, square or hexagonal in shape with lat chambered,
or washer crowned top. Bolts, nuts may be inished or
uninished, and may be regular or heavy type.
Fasteners mainly cover nuts, bolts, screws,
studs and rivets and are segmented between MS
(mild steel) and HT (high tensile) fasteners. These
fasteners are used in engineering systems. The
overall fasteners market is estimated at about Rs
28 bn. While the organized sector (HT fasteners)
has a share of 65%, the balance of 35% is shared
by unorganized sector and imports. In fact there is
no assembly complete without fasteners. The automotive
industryisthelargestend-useroffastenerswiththeremaining
demand coming from sectors like textile machinery, railway
locomotives, construction, computer hardware and general
engineering. Industrial fasteners, accounting for 40% of the
total demand, are more oriented towards the retail markets.
Original Equipment Manufacture (OEM) segment is mainly
dominated by organized players due to high intensity of
capital and technology. As the sectors mentioned above use
fasteners extensively and there is a vast replacement market
spread across the country, hence the scope of venturing to
this sector is highly promising. Thus, as an entrepreneur this
project ofers an exciting opportunity to you.
