 Scope for performance management remains the same
 10 servers, 30 guests => 300 virtual machines to monitor

 Hypervisor, datastores, LUNs, resource
pools, cluster, DRS, vMotion, snapshots, vSwitches, …
 Higher complexity because of resource sharing across VMs
 VMs share CPU, memory, disk, network resources
 A single malfunctioning application in a VM can impact performance of
