3. 3
John 11 21 Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if
Thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.
22 But I know, that even now, whatsoever Thou wilt
ask of God, God will give it Thee. 23 Jesus saith
unto her, Thy brother shall rise again. 24 Martha
saith unto Him, I know that he shall rise again in
the resurrection at the last day.
When Lazarus died, Jesus came to the home of
his sisters, Mary and Martha.
4. 4
25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the
life: he that believeth in Me, though he were dead,
yet shall he live: 26 And whosoever liveth and
believeth in Me shall never die. Believest thou
this?
27 She saith unto Him, Yea, Lord: I believe
that Thou art the Christ, the Son of God,
which should come into the world.
Her confession is our confession of faith.
Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God.
5. 5
43 And when He thus had spoken, He cried
with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth.”
44 And he that was dead came forth, bound
hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face
was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith
unto them, Loose him, and let him go.
6. 6
Acts 4 1 And as they (Peter and John) spake unto
the people, -- the priests, and the captain of the
temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,
2 Being grieved that they taught the people, and
preached through Jesus the resurrection from the
dead. 3 And they laid hands on them, and put them
in hold unto the next day: for it was now eventide.
The devil cannot tolerate the preaching of
The Resurrection through Jesus.
It is the foundation of all of Christianity.
7. 7
Acts 4 33 And with great power gave the apostles
witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and
great grace was upon them all.
Do you see the effective message of the
Gospel of Jesus Christ?
His Resurrection
from the dead!
8. 8
The resurrection is the sure
foundation of our faith.
1 Corinthians 15 13-14 But if there be no
resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not
risen: And if Christ be not risen, then is our
preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
Without The Resurrection there is no Gospel.
9. 9
Romans 1 3 Concerning His Son Jesus Christ our
Lord, which was made of the seed of David
according to the flesh; 4 And declared to be the Son
of God with power, according to the Spirit of
holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
The final proof that Jesus is The Son of God
is His Resurrection from the dead.
10. 10
Romans 6 4 Therefore we are buried with Him by
baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up
from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so
we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we
have been planted together in the likeness of His
death, we shall be also in the likeness of His
resurrection:
The Truth that Jesus is risen from the dead, and He
is alive and well in Heaven today,
is the proof that we also shall rise from the dead
and ascend into Heaven.
11. 11
The Resurrection of Jesus from the dead brought
to us the blessing of being able to be born again:
born of the Spirit of God into the family of God.
1 Peter 1 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our
Lord Jesus Christ, which according to His
abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a
lively (living) hope by the resurrection of Jesus
Christ from the dead,
Ye must be born again!
12. 12
2 Corinthians 5 17 Therefore if any man be in
Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed
away; behold, all things are become new.
Born again!
Not remodeled, nor renovated.
A brand new creation with new
desires, new loves, and a new heart.
Able to love the Lord God with all our
heart, mind, body, soul, and strength.
13. 13
The Resurrection of Jesus Christ brings
us abundant life in this world.
John 10 10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal,
and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they
might have life, and that they might have it more
abundantly.
14. 14
Philippians 4 4 Rejoice in the Lord alway: and
again I say, Rejoice. 5 Let your moderation be
known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. 6 Be
careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer
and supplication with thanksgiving let your
requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace
of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep
your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Peace of mind and soul is abundant life.
15. 15
The Resurrection gives us a certain hope
of a greater tomorrow.
2 Corinthians 5 6 Therefore we are always
confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in
the body, we are absent from the Lord: 7 (For we
walk by faith, not by sight:) 8 We are confident, I
say, and willing rather to be absent from the body,
and to be present with the Lord.
16. 16
1 John 3 2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God,
and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we
know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like
Him; for we shall see Him as He is.
The Resurrection gives us a certain hope
of a greater tomorrow.
17. 17
Matthew 6 19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures
upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and
where thieves break through and steal: 20 But lay up
for yourselves treasures in Heaven, where neither
moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do
not break through nor steal: 21 For where your
treasure is, there will your heart be also.
The Resurrection gives us a certain hope
of a greater tomorrow.
18. 18
John 14 1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe
in God, believe also in Me. 2 In my Father's house
are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have
told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I
go and prepare a place for you, I will come again,
and receive you unto Myself; that where I am,
there ye may be also.
The Resurrection gives us a certain hope
of a greater tomorrow.
That’s our future.
19. 19
Acts 1 10 And while they looked stedfastly toward
Heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by
them in white apparel; 11 Which also said, Ye men
of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into Heaven?
this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into
Heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have
seen Him go into Heaven.
Jesus has promised: He will come back and receive us
(believers) unto Himself and take us to Heaven.
20. 20
These Truths are the reason we
celebrate Resurrection Day.
Matthew 28 1 In the end of the Sabbath, as it began
to dawn toward the first day of the week, came
Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the
sepulchre. 2 And, behold, there was a great
earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended
from Heaven, and came and rolled back the stone
from the door, and sat upon it. 3 His countenance
was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:
21. 21
4 And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and
became as dead men. 5 And the angel answered and
said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that
ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. 6 He is not
here: for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the
place where the Lord lay. 7 And go quickly, and tell
His disciples that He is risen from the dead; and,
behold, He goeth before you into Galilee; there
shall ye see Him: lo, I have told you.
If you believe these Truths this morning, just ask God
to save you in Jesus’ Name. You will be born again.
