Recently I was asked to give the closing keynote presentation for recruiters and CHRO managers, CEO's and HR leaders at the biggest Graduation Fair in Belgium.
The message I wanted to transmit to them was that "digital disruption will be overcome by companies with the best people, not the best technology". And that (HR) managers really need to realize that they hold a (mega) crucial role in the digital transformation of those -winning or losing- companies.
I was truly amazed by the great feedback, so I decided to share my vision with you. I'm looking forward to reading your opinion as well. So don't hold back and hit me up in the comments to discuss this topic more thoroughly!

CLASSICS CONVERTED DIGITALS RUPTURED
IGNORING THE NEW DIGITAL GENERATIONS IS 1 OF THE BIGGEST RISKS…
• Not open for
change
• Traditional
business model
• Traditionals getting
involved
• Digital is translation
of classic business
• Knows old way but
prefers the new way
• Prefer digital partners
over traditional business
• Don’t know old way of
business
• Generation Swipe: digital
only

Fast is better than slow.
While slow is adding
unnecessary
embellishments, fast is out
in the world.
And that means fast can
learn from experience while
slow can only theorize.
Those who ship quickly can
improve quickly.
So fast doesn’t just win the
race. It gets a head start for
the next one.

If we don’t create the
thing that kills Facebook,
someone else will.
“Embracing change” isn’t enough.
It has to be so hardwired into who
we are that even talking about it
seems redundant.
The internet is not a friendly place.
Things that don’t stay relevant don’t
even get the luxury of leaving ruins.
They disappear.

KODAK ANNOUNCED IN EARLY 2012 THAT
THEY ARE SHUTTING DOWN THEIR CAMERA
