- AIM IS A GENERAL STATEMENT COVERING THE OVERALL GOAL OF TEACHING.
- The learners will be able to……. Objectives are the individual stages that learners must achieve on the way in order to reach the overall goal.
- Identify/chartout/formulate
- ie- Formulating the AIM & Learning Objectives. What are learning objectives? What we want our students to know/be able to do at the end of our lesson…… Now plan backwards
- objectives drive us forward… They are the most important component in lesson planning, Our instruction methods & our assessment depend on them. So take time to develop them & refine them so that they are very clear & lucid.
- Learning objectives are aimed at the 3 domains of learning, Knowledge, skills & attitudes. How do the objectives help? If I don’t have objectives how can I assess, what should I assess? How will I know if my teaching is effective & the students are learning? The objectives we set help us plan, clarify & prioritize learning.
- The learners will be able to……. Objectives are the individual stages that learners must achieve on the way in order to reach the overall goal.
- Don’t grapple in the class.. Questions, real life egs as that all reqiures planning movie case history etc… Tell me-I’ll forget Show me – I’ll remember Involve me – I’ll Understand

- Must Know…. Lesson should be part of carefully planned curriculum.
- Colleagues, Students etc It is win win for the students, for u as a teacher for the department & the institution
