   Dora Highlands Resort Community is located on over 48 acres embracing the beauty of the
Maine Woods. We are only a 10 minute walk to the heart of the Harbor where you will find
unique shopping, succulent seafood and lively entertainment year round. Abutting the Com-
munity, nature lovers will appreciate the Lobster Meadow Land Trust offering scenic walking
trails. We are also close to Barrett’s Park where you can spend the afternoon watching boats

                         Each summer, Boothbay Harbor draws crowds of tourists from all
                         parts of the United States, Canada and Europe. In addition to its
                         abundant natural beauty, attractions include the state aquarium

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 46.1 square miles.
Boothbay Harbor is situated on the Cape Newagen peninsula extending into the Gulf of Maine,
and is located between the Sheepscot River and Damariscotta River. The town includes Damaris-
cove Island.


Boothbay Harbor is crossed by state routes 27 and 96. It borders the towns of Edgecomb to the
north, and the harbor to the south. Separated by water, it is near the towns of Westport to the
west, and South Bristol to the east.

Distance

Dora Highlands Resort Community is located on the southern mid coast area of Maine.
By car Boothbay Harbor is approximately 75 minutes for Portland and 2 hours twenty
minutes from Boston and six hours from New York.

By Air, Portland’s Airport is two hours and forty minutes from Florida, New York one
hour and fifteen minutes and Philadelphia.

Limited rail and bus service exist between Portland and Boothbay Harbor’s neighboring
town, Wiscassett.

Trust and Bird Sanctuary and adjacent

blocks from the North side of downtown.

 Dora Highland’s grounds consist of approximately 48 acres of land with an emphasis on nature pres-
 ervation. Original forestry, creek beds, waterfalls and streams are protected. Lobster Cove Land
 Trust has been flooded to provide a one-of-a-kind water view for residents walking the over 1.5 miles
 of walking trails. A man-made 2.5 acre pond has been permitted and will be created adjacent to the
 Club and Recreation Center.

nity. Phase I is a 13 Lot Home Owners Association. Each lot is improved (all municipali-
ties and utilities installed), permitted and ready to build. Estimated time from contract to

  • 3. Dora Highlands Resort Community Location Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 46.1 square miles. Boothbay Harbor is situated on the Cape Newagen peninsula extending into the Gulf of Maine, and is located between the Sheepscot River and Damariscotta River. The town includes Damaris- cove Island. Boothbay Harbor is crossed by state routes 27 and 96. It borders the towns of Edgecomb to the north, and the harbor to the south. Separated by water, it is near the towns of Westport to the west, and South Bristol to the east. Distance Dora Highlands Resort Community is located on the southern mid coast area of Maine. By car Boothbay Harbor is approximately 75 minutes for Portland and 2 hours twenty minutes from Boston and six hours from New York. By Air, Portland’s Airport is two hours and forty minutes from Florida, New York one hour and fifteen minutes and Philadelphia. Limited rail and bus service exist between Portland and Boothbay Harbor’s neighboring town, Wiscassett.

Dora Highlands is nestled between the Lobster Cove Land Trust and Bird Sanctuary and adjacent to Barrett’s Park.
