Today. I’ll show you some numbers, talk about websites, blogging, texting, email, social media, other resources, and ask you to interact w/us-hold-up your card when you see/hear the word or phrase and please ask questions. A panel will follow.

You are your brand. How you dress-Image. What you say/write. Where you go. What you do. When you do it. You are your Brand.
Brands images mean different things to different people at different times. How long does one need to work at building a Brand? Your image.
Logos are powerful. Note my CareerCenter image and website on each slide.
Use of the internet and social media exposes more eyes to more items/people more often-24/7. How many people and what segment of the market do you wish to attract? If you had a retail store, how much traffic could you handle? How is your customer? What is your product?
When one uses a search engine-like GOOGLE to search for you/your product/service ….. how close to the top of the list do you wish to be? How often do you want to be on that ever changing list? There is a whole science around SEO. Google SEO …find out.
Times have changed. And will continue to. Businesses want to hire People who have demonstrated their capabilities. Post, post, post. Once is not enough. If you could interview with a prospective employer/customer…What would you say?
Create/ build a web page as a platform to display, express and drive your brand. Brand with your website not through another portal. You do want your website to reflect you and your ideas/values/products don’t you?
WebLog abbreviated is blog. A web site is not the end goal but merely a beginning. Use this platform to regularly/periodically promote. Your webpage, your brand, your image, needs to be centered on key words descriptive of you/your product/your brand. Make a list of your key words describing you your brand. Post, post, post. Maybe twice a week. Give tips and bits of what is happening. Each blog you post creates a new webpage to be listed, searched, create new interest, new products, expanding the old or new.
Shareware to build your blog. Wordpress is the most often used and it’s easy. There are others: Moveable Type, Typepad
A specific Purpose/activity for visitors to your page (Web/Blog/Facebook/Twitter/LinkedIN/Youtube. What do you want them to do? Sign-up for newsletter, buy, respond/comment, refer to/link to, promote ?
These are your nuggets for connecting back to them. Social Media branding utilizes the media to build your image/sell your product/…… Not be just Social.
A page on your website where the action buttons/next steps items happen. Give simple directions. Don’t crowd. You Google: Landing Pages for more info
Parts of your blog or webpage can be Tweet ed on Twitter, encourage to like FB, Linkedin shared. Uploaded to YouTube or Slideshare. Fotos on Flickr. All of these need links back to webpage /blog
Rich Brooks of New Flyte Media says these are the key steps. Find… put out the right ‘scent’. Keep ‘em…respond/engage Make them yours Count ‘em $$$$ Numbers You need to know if what you are doing is working.
Lots of tools available Only the concrete results count. Some think a webpage or blog or social media is about pretty, and fun. Don’t waste your time w/o a plan
