• COLOURS: each mineral has a typical colour or
colours.
• SHINY OR DULL?: some minrals, like pyrite, are
shiny. Others, like chalk, are dull.
• HARD OR SOFT?: diamond is the hardest
minerals. Gypsum is the softest.
